So excited to see this. I’m the supervisor at NASA/JSC for the Imagery Repositories, Libraries, and History Office. My husband was a Shuttle Flight Controller for 20 years and now works for the Orion Program. Thank you for spotlighting NASA and commercial space flight. It’s always a boost to see how excited people get about the space program. Launches are awesome. I hope you can stick around the Cape long enough to catch the launch.
It truely is amazing how you have become a world influencer. From a basic family travel vlog to NASCAR and NASA/SPACEX guides. So amazed by your growth.
I so agree! Amazing how excellence and a dream can open so many doors. We in turn benefit enjoy being taken along for the ride! Thank you Marc, Trish, Caleb and Charlie!
This was freakin AWESOME! I am so incredibly grateful for you to be able to bring us this conversation. I really enjoyed this conversation. I could listen to Mr. Poteet talk about space and the technology for HOURS! I am excited for Operation: Altitude
Great video.....small world, I graduated with Kidd back at UNH (AFROTC Det 475, 1996). He truly hasn't changed a bit...his passion certainly comes through. Congratulations on all your success. KYD, fantastic and truly inspiring what you all do.
This episode was out of this world... So So exciting to have an interview like this! Very excited you were all able to have this experience and sharing with us... Enjoy your week KYD family, as always looking forward to next week...
As someone who spent 40 years in aerospace, including several years on the Space Station program, I really appreciated your fantastic video and interview. Looking forward to the next one!
You two really have come a long way from when you started out on a 6 month adventure with a travel trailer. I'm sure you have times when you marvel at the changes in your life. This interview is a testament to that. And speaking of that, WOW what a great interview. Funny when Kidd said he could go on for hours, I could have kept listening just as long, so fascinating. One of these days I hope to run into you, in my little teardrop. Well hopefully something a little bigger by then. Keep up the good work, and thank you for all that you share with us.
Whoa… KYD is now a content creator for NASA, honestly I couldn’t think of a better fit. KYD has always been the Gold Standard for honest and quality content. You guys asked the right inquisitive questions that we all have. Well Done!!!!
This episode did not disappoint!!! We were geeking out with all of the space information presented! Your enthusiasm matches ours and we loved every minute of this episode. And next week’s will be even better! Your professionalism, kindness, positivity, and ability to make us chuckle is unmatched. Thank you for taking us all along for the ride on your journey through life.
Really great interview with Lt. Col Poteet! Even a fellow Airstream owner. I hope Marc truly gets the opportunity to fly with him at some point! Well done as usual!
Best episode of KYD ever!! Loved hearing from Lt Col Poteet and gaining his insight into SpaceX and the upcoming flight. Looking forward to your video on your tour.
Loved this video. I have been fascinated with space flight since Yuri Gagarin first flew in '61 and then Alan Shepard less than a month later in Freedom 7. When I was stationed in Japan, our unit was the communications link for Apollo 11 when they were over Asia during the first moon landing mission. I was on duty and got to listen to the communications, but actually talking to the astronauts was done by the highest ranking guy on duty (not me). But a highlight of my life was attending a space shuttle launch at the cape. I am so glad for you guys to get to be at tonight's launch. You will remember it forever.
One word FANTASTIC video I been watching your channel for a few years. i love camping. Unfortunately i stop camping after my wife passed away but your videos keeps me happy. although this video wasn't about camping it was great .
That was mesmerizing!!! What an incredible interview with someone who obviously has skills others can only dream of having, yet he’s so down-to-earth :) and personable. First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country Lt. Col. Poteet - wishing you all the best on your space mission this Summer. Marc and Trish - thanks so much for sharing this. I can’t wait to see next week’s video. Caleb had to have been over the moon on this trip with such an amazing, once in a lifetime experience.
This video is cool beyond belief for me. I grew up in Titusville in the 60's, my dad working for Martin Marietta at the space center, and we experienced the beginnings of space exploration. This April I'll be taking my grands on a tour of KSC. Your video was well done and brought me to tears. Thank you for taking your viewer's on this adventure.
Yeah! It is absolutely amazing that NASA invited you all to come and be a part of their mission. I am ever grateful that you share your passions, and now you are sharing mine! ❤️ I had the privilege of being a KSC/Kennedy Space Center NASA secretary from 1973 to 1983 when I "retired" to be a full-time mom. I was blessed to work in the Prototype Branch and then the Malfunction Analysis Branch. Both offices allowed me to experience such rare opportunities ... like driving the prototype Lunar Rover and watching a Shuttle launch while standing between the VAB/Vertical Assembly Building and the LCC/Launch Control Center being a couple of my favorites! Meeting astronauts was always a big plus. Your interview with Lt. Col. Kidd Poteet was soooo delightful - insightful and very informative! So now I am waving at you f4om across the Indian River 👋👋👋 because we live on the mainland, in Cocoa! Have a blessed stay with us in Florida ❤️ - Pat J. P.S. Unfortunately, you just had your first disappointment because, as I was typing my post to you, they just announced the mission was scrubbed this morning at T-2 minutes 30 seconds 🤔 so close, but not safe 🥴. The poor astronautes get to wait 50 minutes now to disembark the space craft, sigh 😕 But "tomorrow is another day!" I do hope your schedule is flexible enough that you can remain until you get to see the launch. Here is praying that you can stay and the launch is soon successful. 🙏🙏 So now it is time we all can get some sleep; I wish you sweet dreams of Brevard County, Florida ❤️🥰🥱😴💤💤
This is such an amazing and informative piece of work, and by far the fastest 27 minute video I have seen. Like others have said, the growth in your channel / vlog has been incredible to witness. Fantastic stuff, can't wait for next week's video.........and we can't wait to see Marc in that fighter jet!!!
This is a fantastic video and thank you so much for sharing!! As a Floridian in East Orlando, we're blessed to see some of the launches by just walking out my front door!! Obviously it's better when you're much closer. What a blessing to talk to Mr. Poteet and like other comments, I could listen about the space program and technology for a long time. I'm "young" enough to remember the Apollo program and everything since. Absolutely thrilled at how much SpaceX and other companies are launching at the Cape!!
You two are amazing and natural interviewers! I have always been fascinated with our space program and it’s great to see the progress that has been made. Thank you for bringing us this video and wonderful interview!
Cool Interview! I'm part of the Artemis EGS team at KSC and enjoy seeing these videos of folks exploring the space center and seeing all the cool things we sometimes forget is so unique because of our daily exposure to it. Make a stop at the visitor center and explore the Atlantis exhibit if you haven't seen it yet. You wont regret it!
Wow, fascinating to get LTC Poteet’s perspective and to hear all the details of upcoming missions. Thank you for taking us all along. Can’t wait to see and hear more.
I loved this. I love how you guys are curious and always checking out cool new things and then you share all of that with us. You guys asked great questions and the media content you shared was super cool. Thanks!!
Absolutely fantastic! Such a great episode and amazing time to be alive, God Speed to everyone and thanks to the families that support the missions behind the scenes! 🇺🇸
Mark and Trish, this is an incredible interview/video! WOW! What else can I say? I think we are going to have to make a trip down there to watch a launch. I can't even imagine what that would be like. Thank you Scott "Kidd" Poteet for sharing all of your experience with this us.
So cool..And very informative! Great interview with Kidd Poteet! Awesome that NASA invited you guys to get a 'behind the scenes' type access for Polaris and Crew 6 missions! Some really remarkable stuff Space-X/NASA are doing now!
Thank you for continuing to bring us along on your epic adventures, this is one for the books! And I agree with Caleb, SOO much better than watching the ball drop. I thought video production was really good too. Thank you!!
This was awesome. You guys did a great job. Kidd is a super smart guy but he is very personable. Traci's dream is to get to backseat in a fighter jet. She said "I guess we need to start a channel if that is going to get her in a jet". :) This is an exciting opportunity for you, Kidd and the country. You have peaked our interest with this and we will be paying attention for now on. Thank you for sharing
Marc and Trish this episode is awesome. We’re so excited about future space exploration. Great interview with Lieutenant Colonel Poteet. Marc I hope you have the opportunity to fly in a military jet with alt Colonel Poteet. I heard this morning the launch date has been pushed out due to a rocket ignition problem. Hope you guys will be able to hang in there until the launch.
Love everything about this episode…I know you’re worried it’s not your usual showing but don’t be…the fact that you have the reach to pull this pilot/ astronaut in is mind blowing, and a story that needs to be told….and if you end up getting a call from SPACE 🤯
What an amazing time you all are having there! We had no idea! The excitement must be almost overwhelming. I still vividly remember July 20, 1969, and the landing of Apollo 11 on the Moon. I was fifteen years old, and totally plugged in to the event. I’m so hoping to live to see us landing on Mars. Come on Human Race! Let’s get together to explore, and hopefully colonize our Solar System! Well, Mercury and Venus are way to close to the sun to be hospitable, and the gas giants Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, are probably out, as well. Still, there’s the Moon, Mars, and possibly Europa.
Thanks for the video. Great content. We have named our RV family after Space exploration so this hit home. We have Voyager, Orion, Pathfinder, Curiosity and Artemis. Aloha
i've wondered what kind of offers you've received as content creators since your video editing is top notch, congrats on such a big accomplishment with NASA!
What a great interview! I am a big SpaceX fan and it was fun to see someone that is a part of and how excited he was with what he was doing. I bet he has a ton of great campfire stories! Hope you have a lot of great tips to camp at the cape. Its a bucket list item of mine.
Very cool to see the launch. I grew up in the 70s and 80s. I remember the losses and the victories. My dad picked up Buzz Auldran (sp?) in the 60s. Dad was on the ship that was waiting after the first. The first ship couldn't get there so dad's ship went. Dad also got to salute President Kennedy when the Bay of Pigs was happening. I grew up in MA. We all watched Krista. This guy is so cool. So much knowledge and just fun science stuff.
As a fellow space geek this episode was great. Thank you. It is so nice to see someone pick up the torch the USA dropped and relight it. It is flaming bigger than ever. I love what Nasa has done. Unfortunately it is a government agency that turned into a money pit. The benefits of the space program were huge. SpaceX being a private business is making Nasa obsolete. Change is a constant so please let us keep improving! It is amazing what a few great individuals can achieve!
WOW! Just WOW, so incredibly interesting. This gentleman is amazing, what a thrill it would be running into him at an RV park. Thanks KYD, really enjoyed.
Well, it looks like the launch will be on the episode after next weekend, since the got scrubbed at the last minute because of the starting fluid was not working. I can't wait to see what you two and Calab do for the launch. Hey, try to find the Everyday Astronaut, Elle in Space, and the NASA Space Flight group and interview them. They are the ones I follow for the launches.
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing it with us all. Live in Florida about 50 miles away from Kenned Space Center. We see the launches all the time. It's amazing. I am looking forward to seeing your next video on Sunday..
Boca is so cool! We were there a couple years ago! You could get right up against the fence...nobody bothered you or told you to go away. Nice interview
Kennedy Space Center is one of our favorite places to visit. My daughter worked in aerospace as a project manager for a few year and had an office at KSC. My husband and I were there often and were able to “tour” some of the back spaces. We saw them growing fruit trees. Very interesting!
Nasa jets are involved in chemtrails spraying in the skies. Look it up everyone. I have a feeling that NASA is reaching to influencers with a large audience to make it seem like nothing wrong is going on.

Great job Team Leach, after your ride in a fighter you can go get your PPL while the rest of us work on choosing your call sign! Wonderful interview with "Kidd" Poteet.

We had no ideal that space launches were so big in the rv community, hope to get down there someday. Another great video as always
This is very inspiring to put it in simple terms. You guys are a part of history with this. Thanks so much for sharing all you are learning.

KYD and NASA together! 2 of my favorite things! Can’t wait for next week. Please give us some good tips for places to stay for a launch. Thx.

One of your BEST ever episodes!
Very interesting video, thanks for sharing. Scott is awesome!

Such a AWESOME episode!

I was thinking of you during this interview. We still need to zoom!
Boca is so cool! We were there a couple years ago! You could get right up against the fence...nobody bothered you or told you to go away. Nice interview
THIS IS KYD REPORTING FROM THE MOON, back to you Nora
Kennedy Space Center is one of our favorite places to visit. My daughter worked in aerospace as a project manager for a few year and had an office at KSC. My husband and I were there often and were able to “tour” some of the back spaces. We saw them growing fruit trees. Very interesting!
That’s why our weather is crazy, too much messing with our atmosphere!
Nasa jets are involved in chemtrails spraying in the skies. Look it up everyone. I have a feeling that NASA is reaching to influencers with a large audience to make it seem like nothing wrong is going on.
Great review ,my 5th year as a snowbird on the space coast TGO Resorts in Titusville, seen numerous lift offs.Great place to spend the winter.
Love it, and would love to see Marc go up in a fighter.
Great episode, especially for those of us who have always been enamoured by space and space travel.
How amazingly cool that you were asked down to NASA!!!! Loved this video and can’t wait for the next. ❤
Wow!! What a great video!!! Thank you.
Great interview. I wish the United States people would watch your channel.
Thanks for making Sunday evenings a bright spot. It feels sometimes like watching “The Wonderful World of Disney” on Sundays as a kid. How the heck did you pull that off? Positive vibes go a long way I suppose. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Thanks Scott! Different content this week and next, but hopefully the community likes. Big trips coming this year!
The community likes!
Thank you for doing this video. This is so fun and amazing. So cool ❤.
That was incredible. So inspiring, great interview, he seems like a really down to earth guy!
All I can say is … wow. Thank you for this.
Great job Team Leach, after your ride in a fighter you can go get your PPL while the rest of us work on choosing your call sign! Wonderful interview with "Kidd" Poteet.
That was amazing. Thank you. As a teacher who watched the moon landing with our summer school students, so much has changed and grown. So exciting!!!
We waiting for the 1:45 am launch ! Will be our first ever!
Hi guys - Great interview and hear all the amazing things that are happening. I hope Marc gets his ride in a fighter jet - let the breathing begin 🤣😂. Safe travels 😊❤️🇺🇸
