It's like Modern Warfare 2019 was made in the future, and then they tried their hardest to destroy everything they did right, and then bring the game as close to MW2019 as possible. It's just mindblowing.
To this day I say modern warfare 2019 season 6 right before Cold War integration was the best warzone they ever had. Everything was viable there was no forced metas at this time. the only weapon that was strong was the Kilo 141. All they had to do was add ziplines to certain buildings, and adjust lighting within the buildings then it would have been perfect.

Some devs could see it, but the final decisions come from creative directors and upper management where anything would be shutdown quick, most of the time out of ego and pride. I work in the IT industry and that type of management is common.

@@felonies1600 absolutely NOT. Omni is awful and doesn’t belong in FPS. I can see it working in a 3rd person mode but it’s awful and clunky. Too many penalty delays. I’ve tried everything settings I can imagine to make it more fluid and it’s just not it. I can’t even get myself to play Mp and reach max level
Warzone should be its own game, it an evolving BR. It shouldn’t be treated the same as the yearly Cod money grab. They reset all the problems we already had and fixed.
Warzone helps promote users to play multiplayer (and/or Zombies). I agree but they kinda spoke on this. We are more likely to play all game modes with WZ integrated in. It would probably do better since it’s free, if it were to be a dedicated client
Remove redeploy balloons/drones to force use of vehicles. Of course it feels nice to rotate fast with drones, but the fun sandbox moments are gone. Also make vehicles explode with one shot of launchers. Launcher loadout would be viable. Not much beats taking out a full squad with one rocket. Also, don't matchmake KBM against higher KD players just because of input. Especially when controller probably has the advantage anyway. Jackfrags made a video about this in WZ1, and it's still the same.
Honestly, after playing bo6 now for a month or so, I'd love to see this comparison between bo6 & MWII/WZ2. Because I swear it feels like they just added "omni-movement" to MWII (2022) and just sped everything up a little.

They really need to fix these inconsistent mechanics. Having a fast omnimovement and fast-paced game with random smaller mechanics doing the opposite makes it feel clunky and inconsistent, it is so confusing for us players... They just need to get game that is fast-paced and has a consistent fast-movement across all mechanic, simple to understand for us.
In 2019 , even tho i know the playerbase was so much worse ( skill wise ) , i could see what i was shooting on mouse and keyboard. Usually if u were the better player hitting your shots, you would win the gunfight. Now you actually need to sweat 100% of the time, cause little timmy is playing Cod for the first 10minutes and he's aim locking me while 50% of the time because of all this shakiness and bad visuals, we literally can't see what we are shooting at.

Movement is better and faster on paper in new warzone but old one was way smoother and without penalties. New game has jumping penalties slower ads time and it shakes your aim which throws you off target and same penalty exists in sliding as well. All they have to do all these years was bring back wz1 movement and improve on it(add omnimovement to it/increase speed etc.) It's really not that hard.
What makes the current warzone feel so bad is the inconsistent time to kill. Sometimes you get insta killed and sometimes you mag dump a guy with 50 rounds and get like 25 white flesh hit markers
you can’t satisfy everyone. still remember the last days of Verdansk everyone complaining about the wanting a new map. now everyone saying they want it back. Few years from now they’re gonna want BO6 back.
The only thing that needed to be changed was the map. All everyone asked for was a bit of a refresh with a new map. No one ever asked to change the mechanics or the movement.
This is an amazing analysis - I’ve been wanting to see something like this as of late because really, MW19 brought me back to cod(I guess Blackout/BO4 being an exception temporarily).

Good to see a true JGOD video after ages. I wish you would have talked about one more HUGE issue. BO6 has the worst hip fire ever for SMG’s. There is no other attachment in the game other than the laser that reduces hip fire radius. The worst year for hip fire.
I wish side to side strafing was compared between the two games. I'm sure in MW19, you were able to strafe one direction and instantly go the opposite direction at full speed. Whereas ever since MW2 and onward, your operator leans in the direction you're strafing, and when you quickly strafe the opposite direction, your operator has to readjust and lean the other way.
Lately, I've been struggling to clearly see my iron sights in a gunfight and I primarily blame it on all the additional gun movements they added. I used to workaround this by choosing a weapon camo that makes the iron sight standout but the current WZ camos are very limited at the moment
i'm PRETTY sure bo6 forces TAA (temporal anti aliasing) on, which is what makes movement and any kind of scene change look blurry. TAA also messes with hair. We should be able to turn it off
I don’t mind the slower reload speed, I think it balances mag sizes and brings strategy or thought in to spraying. 60rds is a lot, you can basically wipe a team with one mag.
I mean I prefer the MW2019 times, but I still do really enjoy the current BO6 integration. Once they iron out all the things that need fixing it could be just as good!

good points you did bring up, from what I can see they try to fix a sweet spot between the old one and the new one, but at the same time they try to invent new stuff, the omni movements etc. Just hope we get to keep our stuff, and the graphics looks the same as in mw2019 and bo6 in my eyes. I really wonder what is going on in their heads, but I guess we wait and see after bo6, it the cycle repeats with a NEXT "new engine" and everything wiped :D
Seeing MW2019 visuals side-by-side with current COD highlights hust how unnatural the current colour pallette looks. It looks so cartoonish compared to the much more natural tones of 2019. Something tells me a lot of the people who worked on 2019 aren't working on these games now.

One of the worse things about the new cods is the recoil deviation, this is an arcade shooter not a mil sim. The guns recoil pattern should be identical every time you shoot. Not vary on almost every time you shoot.

Hit reg is a waaaaaaaaaayyyy worse problem than anything in this video. As a player that primarily snipes for mid range it makes gameplay feel terrible. High risk for high reward... yet... no reward. I have had my first shot hit to break someone and my next 4 shots blood splatter with no hit reg... this is honestly the only issue anyone should be talking about.

I miss being able to carry a self revive over to a team mate, or store a UAV if I find an Airstrike, or having a redeploy flare ready in the pocket for that overly agressive team mate Removing the backpack system was a really bad idea. Half the loot in the game is pointless unless its used then and there.
2019 was a fluke! They didn’t intend to have slide canceling or for people to fall in love with it like they did it was just supposed to be for a year n they would move on lol all that was an accident.. plus mw2 engine fights you on all the movement’s would be hard to restructure everything to take it out which is why when they use it as a base line all the changes get reverted.. i.e now u need an attachment to shoot while slide when in mw2 engine u couldn’t doit at all.
They had the blueprint. They literally had what worked and decided to abandon it. And not just COD. For some reason, most of these developers got lazy after the new gen consoles came out

We added new movement! And using it makes you miss your shots😅

there is no game dev who can make same stupid mistake more than 10 times and every time making it bigger
MW19 and WZOG still goated. Hopefully IWs next game just zeros in are what made that game so great and then doing maps more similar to MWII.

The gameplay felt so much better polished in MW2019. There was just something about it that felt good. BO6 feels so much more clunky visually.
I remember during vanguard era Warzone 1 they buffed mantling and it was in a very good spot in my opinion.

As a player that primarily snipes for mid range it makes gameplay feel terrible. High risk for high reward... yet... no reward.
I have had my first shot hit to break someone and my next 4 shots blood splatter with no hit reg... this is honestly the only issue anyone should be talking about.

Loved MW2019. But the fact we are already comaring it to Black Ops 6 says a lot. BO6 has the potential to be one of the greats. image in 4-5 months how good the game will be

I miss being able to carry a self revive over to a team mate, or store a UAV if I find an Airstrike, or having a redeploy flare ready in the pocket for that overly agressive team mate
Removing the backpack system was a really bad idea. Half the loot in the game is pointless unless its used then and there.

2019 was a fluke! They didn’t intend to have slide canceling or for people to fall in love with it like they did it was just supposed to be for a year n they would move on lol all that was an accident.. plus mw2 engine fights you on all the movement’s would be hard to restructure everything to take it out which is why when they use it as a base line all the changes get reverted.. i.e now u need an attachment to shoot while slide when in mw2 engine u couldn’t doit at all.

They had the blueprint. They literally had what worked and decided to abandon it. And not just COD. For some reason, most of these developers got lazy after the new gen consoles came out
Try this with mnk where you have that visual shake messing with your hand eye coordination to aim instead of having the roller just track the player model box anyway
