Thank you always! Reminds me of the way this restaurant i used to go to a long time ago would do duck with these pancake tortilla things. Excited to make this my weekend dinners! Cheers to you.
Attempting this recipe for lunch today. If it goes badly I will be shamed before my ancestors and will haunt you and your descendents as an angry ghost.
How is there still so much liquid left in his marinade considering the recipe calls for only 1 teaspoon of each seasoning except for the dark soy sauce. Should I retain the hot water used in the beginning?
I Don't want to be disrespectful but why the fuck is the marinate same for every thing he makes I have never had authentic Chinese food but for some one who ate authentic Chinese food do they all taste same
I bet you to pin me.
Sweet.

These are the same type of chicken you find at Swiss Chalet.
I don't own a rice cooker, what shall i use instead?
Using a pot on low heat should be fine, just add a bit of water so it doesn't burn on the bottom
Braise for longer if you’re not pressure cooking in a rice cooker. Would do 45min to 1 hr instead
Pabirka din ng chicken ang china pulahan pa hehe nice ha

Similar to hoisin. Nothing like actual oysters haha

What type of cooking wine do you use?
Most likely Shaoxing wine
@@jyoshi1491 Thank you 😊

Chiness tea spoon = 1/2 cup in America or European.
That's why it still has lots of sauce to pour in the rice cooker.
Boneless chicken. 🍚🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I Don't want to be disrespectful but why the fuck is the marinate same for every thing he makes I have never had authentic Chinese food but for some one who ate authentic Chinese food do they all taste same
Because it makes the food taste good. I notice the same as you - just remember to get the best ingredients.
Why chicken needs hot bath?
Another word for "blanch" to remove impurities.
How to cook if I don't have the cooker?
Use a casserole with lid on medium heat. Just make sure to put a lemon grass or green onion underneath the chicken to avoid burnt chicken skin.
Can just use a regular pot on low heat, cook longer and add a little more water so it doesn’t burn
Please no sugar🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 thank you 😊😊
Disappointed he didn’t say water bath from Mississippi River.
Hot bath😂😅
What is this voice
What the heck is dusted??
Sesame seeds
❤❤
Why sugar?
Because its sweet, it helps balance out the flavor.
Also thickens the sauce
Why add sugar in every recipe???
It's to balance the taste.
@@aaronthiagarajan that I know. But not really required. It's unhealthy as well.
What can be used instead of cooking wine?
Just don’t use it , doubt it’ll affect recipe all that much
skip it or use vinegar instead
Mirin might be a nice alternative...that and maybe a fresh squeezed lemon lime or orange.
Use dry sherry... 🙂👍🏼
Beer is fine too, but after it’s done you’ll have to reduce the water by simmering on stove top without a lid
What a bulky chicken.
free range chicken's leg
Sugar 🤮
Makes it taste good
Sorry won't taste this because you didn't even put salt 😢😢😢😢 ... Cant eat without seasoning
Concentrated soy sauce and oyster sauce?
@@Zipfei_Kloatscher 💯💯
Bro thinks salt is the only seasoning.
Have you never tasted soy sauce?? Salt overload ...
No salt so mee too
That chicken looks undercooked
That’s how cooked chicken looks when you cook it braised method
every food in china tastes the same
clearly you've never had food from china then
