I love Glacier National Park. One of my favorite parks to visit. Going to the Sun Road is magical. The scenery is amazing, when the haze is not in the sky.

Probably the most beautiful road to take in your life. If you take it in mid September, you can get around the reservations. Although needed considering how jam packed it gets in the summertime.

I am so jealous you went to Glacier National Park. It's incredible you drove out there from Ohio. I know that wasn't a fun ride. North Dakota and Montana alone are big states to try to knock out in two days. Those crickets loved you. Lol. But it was worth it. Look at the views in the park. It looks unreal.
It was worth the drive. However, I told myself to take a plane or train next time. It pretty much comes out the same in price these days. Even with the rental car included. If I lived more on the west coast, I would drive to these National Parks all the time.

At least the views from the park was worth it. I wanted to visit Glacier National Park, but finding camping in the park is very hard these days.
Camp outside the park at St Mary Johnson campgrounds. The cheapest one, great location, awesome staff, and you can walk to the east entrance into the park. Getting reservations inside the park is impossible.
Your car looks worse with all those grasshoppers. Lucky for us, we came up instead of across. But going to the sun road was amazing. Loved all of it. Driving it constantly can be scary.
I loved visiting Glacier national Park last year. It was beautiful and amazing. But buying food in the park was crazy. We said Walmart run. But I do agree on driving the Sun road. Take shuttle or travel on a red bus if you don't want to worry about damaging the car.

Went to Glacier National Park last week. So beautiful. I didn't want to leave because we had more to do. The good news is some of the roads are getting done. Bad news is, Glacier National Park is still crowded.
Been to Glacier National Park two years ago. Going to the sun road was breathtaking. Very beautiful drive. But you need somebody to take videos footage of the drive with you. Those switching roads will not allow you to do it alone. So I am surprised you got some footage doing it alone.

Went to the Glacier over a month ago and it always beautiful when I visit. Many hikes was closed off which was annoying. But it was bear activity everywhere. Food in the parks never makes sense and I live in Wyoming. I know gas and food is high, but not that high.
Many trails was closed off when I went there too. Lots and lots of bear activity. Many people had to take the hard way to get to see some of the Glacier.

The gas was hitting $6 regular on the east entrance. It was crazy with food and gas. But Glacier National Park is such a beautiful park. I will go back in the future.

Going to the sun road is just something you have to experience it yourself. But, if you are driving it, be careful. Don't park near Logan pass on the wrong side. You will get a ticket. Some guy was not happy seeing it on his window. We was laughing.
I got a video of a whole long of car with tickets on their windows. This is that one time, not to follow what others do at the parks when parking your vehicle. 😅
Going to the Sun road is magical to see the mountains all over. But pay attention on the road. Accidents happen when your eyes wonder from it.
Those accidents can happen in a blink of an eye.

I was biting my nails not to see that in the sky. But with the added late snow and heavy rain during that time, I got lucky.

I was blessed with clear skies. I was worried about the fires and the smoke in other parks to come towards our way. But, it stayed away.

Those grasshoppers ruined my engine inside. Well not ruined in not working. But it was horrible to clean out.

That's good news on the roads. It was looking not good on that west side.
