Thank you - this was the third video I watched on how to draw blood from your goat for testing, and the only one that gave information about which lab they used, showed how to fill out the paperwork, and demo'd wrapping and packing the vials for shipping. Usually they just show how to shave and find the vein. I feel much more confident now.
I don't think I will ever need this I for but it is so interesting!! 😊 But you never know, I told my granddaughter if we ev,ER win the lottery we are getting goats, donkeys, chickens and a horse for her! I just love watching you guys. I get so excited when you get blood on the first draw Crystal because I have very small veins and my lab has trouble getting my blood sometimes! 😁
I always learn so much from your vlogs! Thank you for taking the time to do them for us. We have a small Homestead and your example is helping get ours started🌞
I have learned so much from your videos. Im expanding my herd and use so much info from here to ensure they are healthy. Thank you so much for being an invaluable resource for new goat collectors lol
Thank you so much for this. I’ve been wanting to test, but didn’t know where to begin. You’ve given me the confidence to get started. I have learned so much by watching you.
You are such a wealth of information and appreciated. I don't own goats but I do send people here to learn from you who do have them. Regardless of me not owning goats I still come to learn and enjoy your videos, thank you! :)
Thank you for this! The vet wants $20 for each individual disease test. It makes it very cost prohibitive. I was a registered nurse at one time but it’s been a minute (10+) since I drew blood on a person, let alone an animal. This video eased my nerves lol.
Can you share a new link for the collection tubes? It looks like the current one is broken. Great information! This is going to save me a fortune this spring
I see you linked plastic blood collection tubes instead of glass. I was told that plastic can lead to false positive results. What are your thoughts on this?
Crystal you are so organized, very knowledgeable, and easy to understand you when explain things you do with the goats. It shows great character, business like and of course sometimes goofy hahaha jk how long does it take for all that bloodwork. To come back to you???
Hi Crystal, thank you for the video! The link for the blood collection tubes doesn't seem to be working. I found some but they have clot activator and silicone coating, they are not plain like you said though. So those would not work I'm guessing? Having trouble finding. Thanks again
How long are the vials good for? You said to be sure they were not out of date, and I have only 2 goats! 100 vials will take a LOOONG time to use up! I was also thinking of getting them tested for parasites. Could you help us with that also? Please? You guys are the best for information! Thank you!!
Would you recommend one delivery service over another right now? I know US mail has been so slow I don't want my samples to be old when they get there.
I got to do that for our goats never tested them for that our selves we want to do it ourselves nowI should for the test is the 30 dollars per vile or total no matter how many is tested
Very informative, thank you! How soon do you need to ship the samples? If one draws in the evening is that ok or do samples need to be shipped off same day?
Is the testing done because you are showing them, and shipping out of state? Just curious as to the reasons. If my small goat herd is closed do I need to do testing?
Thank you for creating this video, what seemed overwhelming now looks like can be done by myself and my wife. I’m looking at labs now and will be sending in some samples. I’ve had one dairy goat for several years and have never tested.. at all. I recently starting looking to ad another goat to our heard and kept seeing the CAE and CL terminology used a lot, after looking those two up extensively, i landed on your video. I now understand how bad cae cl and Johnes can be for the goats but should we stop drinking milk from our goat until we receive results? Just wondering if consumption is still safe, We are a family of four that consumes our goats milk daily.
This was an awesome teaching video! My only question would be where you get the vials, the collection syringes and needles? Does the vet let you purchase enough of them or do you (me) have to get them elsewhere? Thanks for the video and any answers to my questions.
It is still manageable. I don't know I could put a max on the amount of goats but my herd size is good now. Somewhere around 25 does and 5 bucks. So i have more lol
Early crew here to see some gorgeous goats
This is my best friend Olivias favorite TH-cam channel and she got me into your channel too. Keep up the great work! I love your goats 🐐
I’m Olivia 🤟
And I also love you goats! My favorite is Vader! 🐐

I always learn so much from your vlogs! Thank you for taking the time to do them for us. We have a small Homestead and your example is helping get ours started🌞
Thank you!! You explained it so well. The blood draw didn't scare me but I had no clue what I needed to do to send it in and where
Thank you, awesome info! If I can psych myself up to do this myself it will save so much money :)
Your helper is not quite so little anymore. Crystal you are one careful lady. Thank you.
I know!! What happened 😭🤮
I have learned so much from your videos. Im expanding my herd and use so much info from here to ensure they are healthy. Thank you so much for being an invaluable resource for new goat collectors lol

You are such a wealth of information and appreciated. I don't own goats but I do send people here to learn from you who do have them. Regardless of me not owning goats I still come to learn and enjoy your videos, thank you! :)
Thank you for sending people our way!!

Thank you so much!!!
So helpful!!! I'm just using regular syringes and little goats too. I needed this video! Thank you!
Good to know I never new that goat can catch disease interesting loved watching your channel
Well done. My grandfather had a small herd of goats, but I don't remember him doing any testing. This is quite interesting.

Thank you for uploading all these videos! You do an awesome job!
Excellent video thank you xx
This was EXTREMELY helpful. Just what I needed to know. Thanks so much!
Is it $30 for each goat, or $30 for the whole test/all of your goats?
Ik I'd like to know as well if it's per goat or per herd
This was great! So helpful as I will start drawing blood next year!
Amazing video! So helpful! Thank you!!!

Our tests go through WADDL too. Great lab with loads of information for any and all questions. Once again, a superb video 👏🐐👏🐐👏🐐

Crystal you are so organized, very knowledgeable, and easy to understand you when explain things you do with the goats. It shows great character, business like and of course sometimes goofy hahaha jk how long does it take for all that bloodwork. To come back to you???

Thanks for all the help! Keep it up! ✨
Love this video! Thank you for taking the time to share 💕
Thanks for posting such a great video 🙏
Great video as always! ❤️
does that lab do pregnancy blood tests?
They do, yes.
How long are the vials good for? You said to be sure they were not out of date, and I have only 2 goats! 100 vials will take a LOOONG time to use up! I was also thinking of getting them tested for parasites. Could you help us with that also? Please? You guys are the best for information! Thank you!!
Usually a couple years. I never use all the viles before they expire.
Do you ship the blood out the same day that you drawl?
very informative.
Hey crystal! Can I test my goats any time if the year or do I need to test at a certain time?
Thank you, Crystal. Very helpful!
Very informative , thanks dear vet ❤️
Would you recommend one delivery service over another right now? I know US mail has been so slow I don't want my samples to be old when they get there.
I have always used USPS and use priority box. Never had an issue.
or latex free gloves if like me i am allergic
Or those :)
I need to do this but I’m alone and don’t have any help :( I’ve also never drawn blood. I’m scared I’d hit incorrect vein (artery).
How long does it take to get the results back?
How do you send the payment ? Do they send you an invoice later?
Should the tubes be glass or plastic? The link is not working. 💕
I got to do that for our goats never tested them for that our selves we want to do it ourselves nowI should for the test is the 30 dollars per vile or total no matter how many is tested
$30 per goat for 3 tests each.
Ty Chrystal

Do you do these blood tests every year ?
Every year or every other

Some of the links do not work.
Must be something about John's. My husband John can give me gastro at times ;) ;) LOL. Aside from that Thanks for the info you give us.
😂
Where do you get those blue cold packs?
Use all grocery store have them by kitchen utensils or lunchboxes
This was an awesome teaching video! My only question would be where you get the vials, the collection syringes and needles? Does the vet let you purchase enough of them or do you (me) have to get them elsewhere? Thanks for the video and any answers to my questions.
Tsc or family farm has syringes and needles for livestock
It is hard to do so many goats or it is still easy to manage?
And do you have a real maximum for your goats
So I mean how many is your max?
It is still manageable. I don't know I could put a max on the amount of goats but my herd size is good now. Somewhere around 25 does and 5 bucks. So i have more lol
Morning 🔆 all!
❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎🐐
Live this video 💘 😻 the kitty video bombed you lol supercute
What age do you start testing and how often do you test for it
All goats over 12 months old get tested when we do. We do it every other year.
That little goat is being spoil good!
First view and first like
Is it just me or does anyone else feel bad for the goats? Well I know its supposed to be fore tests but still. Does it hurt them?
Uugh! darn auto correct! I said she was being soooo good!
Lol! I knew what you meant! She's spoiled too 😂
Our fur babies must be spoiled! It is only right..poor little creatures. Anyone who is good to animals is ok in my book, lol!
