      Frozen bananas in smoothies are amazing!! I don't have almond milk, so I just use regular milk. It would be even better with the almond milk though!

    Just discovered your channel and I love it! It's almost summer here in New Zealand, so I can't wait to try this ^^ Just a question, could you make like a larger batch and then freeze it for later on? Like how long would this 'ice cream' keep for, just due to all the fresh ingredients? Or is this something you have to make each time you want some? ^^ Because it would be awesome to make a larger batch and then have some for whenever I need an ice cream substitute ^^

    • @thedomesticgeek1
      @thedomesticgeek1  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tkxforever53 Hi! You can definitely do a large batch and keep it frozen until you're ready to eat it. Just be sure to thaw it for 5-10 minutes before eating it so it's not too hard :)

    • @thedomesticgeek1
      @thedomesticgeek1  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Susan L. Hi! The mocha fudge flavour is to-die-for...You're going to love it! After refreezing the ice cream, it will get more solid. If you want it softer, just leave it out of the freezer for five or ten minutes before eating. And yes, dairy milk will work just as well as almond milk in this recipe! Enjoy :D

    Is it okay if you can use regular milk? Also, do you have to peel and chop the bananas before putting them into the freezer?

    • @remmihashi3964
      @remmihashi3964 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would be fine using regular milk and she probably peeled and chopped her bananas to make them easier to blend. If you have a REALLY strong food processor you might not have to do this but it would probably help it blend better if you did.

    • @alaskadventures
      @alaskadventures 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Peeling the bananas before you freeze them is ESSENTIAL!! If you don't you will have to slice the skin off the banana (Trust me, this is NOT fun). Chopping them before, or after freezing depends on your blender.

    • @jhopeswonhaemanhimanhi4944
      @jhopeswonhaemanhimanhi4944 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      U can use a regular type of milk and of course yeah u should peel and chop your bananas before u freeze them (to avoid getting messy with the frozen bananas and to save time ) :)

    I am a student and can neither afford or fit a food processor in my tiny kitchen. Do you think a hand blender would be able to do the job?

    • @loonyrun
      @loonyrun 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Lauha Liira From personal experience: Yes! But you need to be careful and sometimes it is best to mix every few minutes, so you blend everything nice and good. I use a handmixer for smoothies, ice cream and other such things that need blending, as I don't have other options

    • @kayb6803
      @kayb6803 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No! The frozen bananas are going to shred a hand mixer. See if you can get a blender or even a stick blender. They are a bit more powerful and can handle the job.

  • @bedbugg22

      MsKelly1974 They can be kept in the freezer in glass jars :) Just be sure to leave an inch or so at the top of the jar so the contents can expand safely :) You'll want to thaw the ice cream for 5-10 minutes before eating :)
