Why do people always say westernized? It's not westernized, its modernized. Not all modernization comes from the west.
Kind of a dated thing that comes from like the 1950s era where basically everywhere in the far east, aside from Tokyo, was not modern at all by western standards. Obviously not the case these days!

Many drugs or molecules are discovered in India (including Asia), or by the researchers of India (or Asia). Even if we talk about the IT Sector, most of the people who got the fame are Indians (or Asians). So it should not that western people should always take the credit into their account. In fact, India was always and even today it is a Jagat Guru (World Master) in terms of knowledge and discovery.
Soon ISRO is also going to make you people realize about it.

This apartment even amazed me even I'm Chinese, even this video is 2 years ago. I've study and work in US for 9 years and just get back to China for vacation 2 weeks every year. Every time I felt like "I was dropped behind by times" lol.

Poppy!!! My home is just right next to your friend's apartment which is actually located in Longhua New District. Technically it's not in Futian District, lol. I love cococity and the mall you said it's like Disneyland, haha. Its name is Shanghefang. And the Adidas outlet there they sell real Adidas. I love your videos and have been following you since 2016! Hope you enjoyed Shenzhen and I really love to see more of your videos. I live in Irvine, California now and is really missing Shenzhen!! I hope we can meet one day in Shenzhen soon!

How much is this apartment?
Zeyu Huang The first tier rent in Shenzhen is about 150 to 200 RMB per sqm, which is either located near the rich area Shenzhen Bay or right next to the High tech jobs area. The second tier is about 100 to 150 RMB per sqm, and this price will get you a nice room in city center like Futian, Nanshan, or a luxurious apartment like the male friends in Luohu district. And anything between 80 to 100 RMB per sqm are considered affordable - they either require long commute time or are over 15 year old.

If still not, maybe you can also ask the manager to show you a similar one.
I remember a lot of people going on Jordan & Livio's video during their apt. search insulting them as spoiled foreigners. Upsetting as an American to see b/c we are used to certain luxuries here but we are not necessarily spoiled. We just are used to certain things. I would want an American style bathroom as well as a washer/dryer in my apartment.

For some part of the city yeah. The region I'm in is pretty good. After all, China is gunless, it's not even a fair comparison.
I don't really believe that China is gunless. They produce anything and everything, and they have extensive black markets and criminal gangs. I suspect there are a lot of guns floating around. I think Chinese people are just not prone to violence in the same way that some other races are. Even here in Canada where there is a massive Chinese gang problem they don't seem to kill each other very often.
I saw a Chinese movie a while ago. I can't remember the title but the guy is a big time gangster and he's in America - I think in Philidelphia and he got shot to death in the street when he wouldn't give a teenager a cigarette. The message was - it doesn't matter how tough you are in China - you aren't tough in America. Lol.

In fact, as a Chinese I do not think there is an traditional "Chinese apartment", because apartments came from the west and in Chinese tradition there wasn't a concept as an apartment. I picture a typical traditional Chinese housing as something like a Courtyard. So I would like to see how a foreigner think what a traditional Chinese apartment would be like. Please film the third apartment.

CHN should move to new york. in canada it would cost 900 to rent a bedroom in someones place and it would ony be available for the winter months.

This place will be very noisy at night because it is close to the busy roads. This is not cheap in Chinese standards given its size. But yes it is cheap in US standards. You can get a two bedroom service apartment in central Futian for

Yeah, Travellight's apartment always looked kind of phony to me. Like it would be good for staying a couple of days like you do in Las Vegas but it definitely doesn't look like an apartment I would call "home". Still, nice that they can afford it, life is good.

oh, if you really want to live in western china, than it may cost literally nothing. That part of China is actually quite poor and hence the living standard quite low.

Totally didn't expect this place to cost less than your current place...I guess because of location.
This is a top notch apartment but your place can boasts more fun and unusual characteristics. I mean Jordan's place doesn't even have a balcony let alone a fake-turfed one with a cooling fan and a nicely decorated drain pipe! :D

RespectOthers For sure the décor of the male friends apartment is way more luxurious and expensive than Poppy's. The only reason it costs less is because Poppy lives in Manhattan and the friends luxurious apartment is in Brooklyn.

In a small shitty canadian town that would cost 1500+ per month, which is what you earn working fulltime at an average job.

I think what you earn in an average job in Canada is more like about 2800 per month after taxes.
With 1500 you can rent in Guatemala City a 250 square-meter 4 bedroom apartment, with each bedroom with its own private bathroom, in an upscale neighborhood. Or a 400 square-meter 4-bedroom, 2-level house with garden, study room, and living room for employees, in an upscale neighborhood too, but far from shops and restaurants.
I myself live in a 4 bedroom, 200 sq-meter, 2-level house in a popular not upscale neighborhood, a block away from the commercial district with grocery stores, shops, banks, restaurants; near the main bus line.

Because we call it 'Hotel apartment / Serviced apartment', built for people who looking for invest a cheap real estate property, then rent out till to next house price booming and resale again（actually property holders never live in there，cause now the government is founding some laws to stop this type of investment for cooling crazy house price，which means owner would change frequently and renter may be kick out in any time）.
All units in the building were manage by one agent company，this is why tenants were monitoring when pass the entrance.
So… that’s not a good place as it looks like，it's better to find a normal apartment if you want stay in China for long term.

What do you mean?do you mean the rental fee or real estate price?poppy metioned the rental fee in the end of the clip,if you mean real estate price,it's at least 40000 RMB (around 6000 usd)per meter square in Shenzhen I guess. you can calculate in you own,btw you don't need to pay for the property tax so far

I have seen your first apartment from a clip of of your previous video. I am guessing you are taking about the grant purple red building in central Futian.
