Thanks, i've just bought a V90 and just couldn't get the cruise control to do what I wanted. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Thank you for this video on cruise control. I have a question. When I try to increase by one mile at a time, the cruise still jumps 5 miles rather than one mile. I do hold the proper button as you noted. Is something wrong with my cruise? Or would this occur if I am in a different mode than just plain cruise? Brand new 2020 XC-60 Inscription. Thank you.

      Good afternoon Kate,
I see that you mentioned that you are holding the proper button when trying to increase by 1 mile which should work, especially on a newer vehicle. There are a few things I would try, I know it may sound rudimentary but I would try to hold down the button a little longer and look at your "cruising set speed" which is under your current speed. This should work in traditional cruise control, Adaptive cruise control, and pilot assist. Holding the button down longer will not hurt anything so don't be afraid to hold it down until your set speed changes.
Depending on when you made your purchase I would contact the dealership you purchased from and make sure they did a software update on your new car. If they did not do a software update I would recommend going to your local Volvo store and getting your software updated.
If you're ever in the Memphis, TN area please feel free to come by our store for a complimentary car wash and any one of our Product Specialists will be glad to teach you helpful tips and tricks about your Volvo. If you have any other questions you can call me directly at (901)373-3000.
      Have a great day!

Does this car has automatic line change when on autopilot ?

I have a 2016 momentum with the same button layout but it just does the normal cruise control, no adaptive or pilot cruise control. I was wondering if it’s because of my trim package. Then why have the distance adjustment buttons if it doesn’t maintain distance.

Hello, I couldn't see the icons that came up on your video because of the camera angle.
I have just bought an xc60 from 2019 and am finding cruise control impossible. It either goes into Speed Limiter, so you can't speed up if you need to, (which can be alarming!) or it just seems to increase by too much. I can't get much sense out of the manual either, the info is very limited. My old Volvo had such a simple system. Press a button to switch on CC, then just hit the + or - to set the speed, only increasing or decreasing by one mile at one time. I can't learn it off the screen while I'm driving either, (and you can't play around with it when you're stationary), and the showroom is an hour away, just don't have time atm to go there for a lesson. Also-can I permanently switch off the seat heater? I keep having to pull over and switch it off manually every time which is a drag, but it is uncomfortably hot.

What do you do if it stops working? Lane assist and adaptive doesn’t work anymore and it’s a 2021 xc40
