- This is what happens when God takes an X Games freestyle motocross rider and a motocross model, transforms them into totally new people by His love and brings them back together eight years later to get married for His Mission. This is the story of how we met and what happens when God writes your love story!

Oh my God😭😭😭 the Lord literally led me to this video! There are so many details that are sooo similar to mine! 😭 this is overwhelming. The Lord showed me that our engagement would be short as well (for the purpose of ministry) and it made me a bit nervous @ first. (I was a LOT like you, Mel, as far as my focus on God and adamant about not letting a guy get in the way of my relationship with the Father. God had to prepare my heart as well). So while i had been nervous about a short engagement, but God keeps showing me testimonies like you guys' that are so encouraging & truly confirmation that He is with us😭... THANK YOU for sharing this!
Mel, what is some advice on preparing a short engagement? How did you respond to ppl who might have had questions/concerns about why such a short engagement? I haven't had any yet,but any anticipatory advice??

@@MLynn33 Oh my gosh wow!! Come on Jesus. So glad He led you to our video so He could speak to you. And as long as you know without a doubt this is the Lord, you dont need to worry... but that doesn't mean that its all going to be easy. Our first year of marriage was SO hard. And we constantly needed the reminder that the Lord had spoke even though at the time we were both like, did we mess up? But the Lord was so faithful. So advice, dont expect that just cause the Lord led it that its all going to be perfect. You are both sinners in a big process and nothing exposes your junk like marriage haha, but be committed to the Lord and your vows. I didnt really have much pushback but let people speak in to your life no matter what. The Lord honors us seeking counsel and we constantly surrendered our relationship to Him. But keep praying, keep seeking the Lord together, keep letting Him guide you and He will. Super excited for you girl!! Keep in touch. We are glad to have you here with us!
Absolutely amazing testimony!! I am so comforted that there are STILL people who trust the Lord to conduct and direct their choices for marriage partners. Even in churches, this idea seems outdated, but it is THE way to go. I can speak from experience. So inspiring! May the Lord bless you and use you for His glory.

They did plenty "ungodly" before in 08. She said so. They conveniently left out (actually probably never did it) that they confessed their previous "ungodly" engagements in 08. He called the 08 just "a little thing" and she first said "a thing" then moved to "ungodly thing".
His dumbing it down to only "a little thing" shows he's not broken for his pursuing and allowing "ungodly" (highly likely they were highly sexually active in the "thing") of her, doesn't respect her, doesn't protect her image or morality as far as he is involved, and no humilty.
She's naive and infant in faith at best.
Both of them are Sensationalist (which is Not of Christ) as they keep referring to "prophesying over..." which is the Heresy of Pentecostalism Charasmatics.
Just get Ronnie to tell who his "pastor" was that he asked to pray for him about her, and that man's church will tell the tale of what kind of "faith" Ronnie is of.

Also, when you give your life to Christ and you repent and are born again, it's Him who wipes away all your sins, you are a new creation and with that He also wipes away all your guilt, condemnation, and all those 'icky' things.
You are a new creation, your past is cleansed abd if you're faithful & burning for the Lord he will make a New path, it's how you treat this New path.
If you don't respect it, then you didin't change, but if you do, well . . . . .

After an abusive marriage, a child and a lifelong issue with epilepsy I met a gem of a man. One might say it was purely accidental, no it wasn’t. I met this man who not only had the training to help with my ptsd/emotional/mental/spiritual abuse, but he was from an area I dreamed of living in (my grandmother was from there), he was a Christian and had the biggest kindest heart. It was unbelievable how well we not only complemented each other but built each other up. He had given up, I had no intention of being hurt again. What God brings together is so amazing, only God can write such stories of souls and life!!
Found my husband in 2018 at the age of 36. We’re now married and expecting our first child! I’m so glad I gave myself to the Lord and trusted the path he had set out for me. For those who are still waiting, NEVER GIVE UP
My wife is 10 years older than me. She was in an emotional abusive marriage that was a hardcore drug addict. After 14 yrs and 2 kids; 7 & 9. We met in church; I, 24yrs old, her, 34yrs old. She always says I saved her, but I know that she saved me... I am 42yrs old NOW! We love each other more and more each day! God is so good to us! LIFE IS GREAT!

I just want to encourage all you single people out there hoping for a partner. Getting married isn’t the end goal and it isn’t the start of your happiness. Find happiness in singlehood through God and when the day comes you will find that you don’t settle just for anyone. You will find a mate who adds to your life. Do not think getting married is the only way to be happy because your mate is not always going to make you happy.
yes! I'm 20 right now but I am open to finding my partner until after college. Right now I need to keep growing spiritually and grow my faith in God. I also need to work on myself because I'm still immature in a lot of adult things and I'm still very shy with social anxiety. That's why I currently have no friends, not even from my church. Also, I'm not responsible enough to do many things on my own yet so it doesn't make sense that I will be able to date someone right now. I still live with my parents, I have never had a job, and I receive financial aid for college. That's why I pray to God that he will work on me and make me into a mature adult who isn't shy anymore.
There are also many things I want to do while I'm single like make new friends, traveling to other countries with friends, try new things, etc. I don't need to worry about finding someone right now. My focus is only on God and the people who care about me. God will send me the right person but I know it won't be soon so I put all of that in his hands and he will take care of that.
I love how God brings two people together. God is great and mighty.

Waiting, expecting, hoping in the Lord brings such blessing. He is so good to us. Sometimes it feels impossible that God will answer our prayers, but just praise him and trust His will. No matter what, if we praise him, thank him, and trust His will for us (not demanding what we want but seeking what He wants), we’ll have joy and He will accomplish His purpose in us.

I am concerned about this generation of the largest population in Western History to be single, never married and without children, from mid to late thirties into their 50's. I am sure there are multiple factors, but come on people. Do you want your child to be graduating when you are 60 and 65 years of age, IF you are still fertile enough to conceive a child. (BTW peak fertility for a female is age 24). Or do you want to be living a lifestyle of sexual immorality, "hooking up," or porn addiction, because you are at your peak of sexual vigor but do not have a spouse to enjoy sex with in covenant? Is that God's will? Maybe if you are still single at this age you need to examine yourself instead of just "waiting on God." You cannot just sit back and say, "God bring me the perfect mate." You have to prepare yourself, spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially. And you have to make your self available, use your brain to evaluate carefully the prospects, be guided by logic with a long-term orientation, not guided by lust and desperation, and go out and DO practical things to meet people. It is just like any other area of faith that we are believing God for. We must ask, SEEK and KNOCK. If you want to own a home or secure the best job of your career, you prepare for it and take logical, practical action steps. And God blesses that! Here's another hypothesis, For thousands of years parents have been helping facilitate and oversee their children finding spouses. In modern times with rampant promiscuity, divorce ridden families, and the media's promulgation of sexual immorality, the match makers are no longer a priority. I'm proposing that this is where the church leadership steps in and helps young people find their spouses, while they are STILL young. I'm not implying any control based system. Just a church leadership who can help oversee possible connections with a heart for the single young adults. The alternative is online dating sites.

Beautiful story! My parents have a unique story too. My parents are six years apart, and neither one of them dated anyone before. My mom was 26 and my dad was 32, and my dad especially grew concerned that he wouldn't find the right one. However, he trusted that God will give him the right woman and that He will make it obvious when He does. My parents were introduced to each other through connections they had with family friends. When my dad met my mom for the very first time, he KNEW that the woman he was looking at was the one God had chosen for him. As he talked to her, he was overcome by the feeling that God was telling him that this was the woman that is to be his wife. They both got along, and their first meeting was all about Jesus and nothing more. My dad fell in love with my mom, and he was sure of this relationship because he was constantly praying to the Lord and He answered but my mom wasn't all that sure. She had questions, and she wanted to be sure that this was part of God's plan for her. She also continued to pray and asked Him questions she had on her mind. When she felt like the Lord wasn't directly answering her questions, she was down. However, the miraculous part was that when she met my dad again, he mentioned things that answered all of those questions, and she didn't even ask them to my dad! It was like God answered all her questions through my dad! They continued to see each other occasionally, and they felt a connection. After just three dates, my dad proposed to my mom, but she didn't accept it although she didn't reject it either. She asked my dad if he can give her just a little bit more time to think about it and to confirm one last time with the Lord because she wanted her marriage to be one that would honor the Lord. When God confirmed it with her, she finally said yes. They are married now for 23 years, and they love and trust each other so much. I love how they have been married for so long but still sometimes look at each other like people who have just started dating. My dad became a pastor just a little after I was born. My mom and dad are seriously the best and most devout Christians I know and they confront every situation with the Lord and always ask for His guidance. They have such a pure and beautiful relationship, and the glue that his holding this all together is none other than Jesus. I will continue to pray that God will bring me a wonderful and kind husband that will love the Lord and serve Him.

Sarah you haven't missed out on much to be honest with you. I recently accepted Jesus Christ into my life and heart (past 6 months) and before that my life was full of sin. Its nothing to be proud of and all the relationships I had before just seem meaningless now, because it didn't further my life in any positive manner, such as God has. Truly I say to you, the day Jesus brings two loving people together to share a common yolk between you, your spouse, and the Lord is the only day worth having an intimate relationship. Every other intimate relationship besides this will most likely just feel empty, at least it did for me. God bless.

As a man, I now realize how important my relationship with God is for my love life. I understand the importance of having a Christ centered life. And most of all, I now believe again that God is faithful for my desire to have a wife. I just have to trust him. I’ll be honest, I was angry at god because my last relationship didn’t work. *So here’s an Update*
After watching the video, I met with two young Christian men at a park and shared your testimony (shared it in my own words lol). I focused on how you both pursued, obeyed and allowed God into every aspect of your relationship (and life of course). As a male, the theme of a Christian man having a vision for his life spoke to me. So I proposed my 2 guy friends and I spend individual prayer time with a focus on repentance and removing distractions we’ve allowed to hinder the lord from moving in our lives
Then we discussed the importance of why a Christian man needs to have a vision for his life and the importance of living a Christ centered life regardless of our circumstances. Afterwards, we each shared our visions or at least planted the seed to start developing a long term vision. we all left encouraged to seek God to allow him to help us develop our vision and discover God’s calling for each of us. I think we are headed in the right direction.
With that said. thank you for encouraging me and helping to reinvigorate my faith through your testimony. I got lost in my hurt for a time and allowed myself to stop being used by God. I’m now getting back focused on serving the Lord and being an positive influence to the young men in my church once again. I’ll soon be helping to lead devotionals at my boxing gym as well! I have high functioning Autism from before it was “cool.” As a consequence, relationships and steady, gainful employment have been impossible. It’s been a journey to trust God, yield ALL of my dreams to Him and let Him work in His way in His timing.

Fascinating, because I also have high-functioning autism, and I’m currently engaged. We share this account ‘cause we have a channel together. Our testimony thus far is similar to Ronnie & Mel’s own, in that we did not put ourselves together. I had no romantic interest in him, and God made him wait for me during our stage of friendship. The pen was completely in God’s hand. All that is to say that this is the God who spoke, and what He spoke materialized. If God says that you are this and you will have or do that, then that reality that God has declared is inevitable. Honestly your story is so inspiring, it’s lovely to see young people who love God genuinely and are being blessed with his favor. My elder sisters got married to church men who have nothing short of ruined their lives and it made me very wary of marriage and very very wary of church men even though I honestly desire to marry a man who is born again and lives the lord.

This story is beyond touching and beautiful. I feel like I was supposed to find this video because for along time now I’ve been praying for the man Jesus has for me. It’s been hard to remain single and trust that God has someone picked out just for me but after watching this video, I want to wait until that day comes. I want to walk with Jesus and have my partner by my side doing the exact same thing. You guys are such a beautiful, inspiring couple. I really pray I get something like that one day.
God just wrecked my plans and I had to break off our engagement. I am thankful because the relationship was toxic and I was feeling drained. I met him at church but God knows best. This video kept on popping up and I know I was meant to watch this.

I've been praying for my husband since I was a teen. I'm a divorced 36 year old woman with a 14 year old son. I have been single for 13 years.
