I ordered mine the day after they were announced from the online GS boutique. I've had it for a few weeks now and I love it, simply stunning. The dial is really dynamic, even by Grand Seiko standards. This one is special. Wearing my SBGA407 today, the one I purchased from your store back in 2021.
I picked up the 509 from a GS boutique before it sold out. The linen pattern on the dial with the sparking pink color is incredible especially when tilting the watch and seeing how light affects it. The seconds hand is mesmerizing as it glides seamlessly over the beautiful dial. I love this piece!
The pink dial is a very beautiful, detailed one. It's impressive, knowing that it is a spring drive and a limited release. I just wish that they give us a second alternative leather strap with a clasp. But all in all, that movement, dial, and being a Grand Seiko makes it a desirable collection for most of us.
I'm wearing my very first GS SBGA509 - it's awesome. Our AD had a lot of models to choose from so I got to check out the series 9 and such and I actually preferred the power reserve on the dial...so one can check the power if swapping watches from the box. The SBGA509 looks like a newly minted copper penny in bright sunlight, kind of pinkish/salmon under neon lights, and kind of reddish in the shadows. So far is goes well with Levi's and a tshirt or hoodie and khaki's and a polo. I really enjoy it.
GS is thinning out its catalogue, moving upmarket and the new bracket / clasps are on the way. They are discontinuing most of their quartz models apart from smaller sizes targeted towards women. Expect prices between 7 - 15k for a Grand Seiko in 2 years.
Literally just picked this up tonight

Wearing the SLA067 today - Black Series night vision 62MAS - a Seikophile’s black diver
I much prefer the more elegant dials of the new Evolution 9 collection with the power reserve indicator moved to the back.
If it is true that GS is stoping all these limited edition nonsense, then that is a win for all consumers.

Longines Conquest Chapagner Dial, because it is Summer.
Again with a new dial? Calling it a limited edition means nothing. No innovation whatsoever. 😒
Innovation is coming with 9RA2 caliber, check it out.
Should invest in a better bracelet
18 months away, new bracelet and clasps coming but rest assured they will be on the 10k plus models
Yawn
