Should do a bag tank install some day to see the advantages and disadvantages. I flew a bag equiped jet a few weeks ago worked perfectly but some time to fill only two flights so bugs not ironed out yet if any.

I'm just getting into turbines. Been flying RC for over 40 years. Thought my last fling would be a low-budget turbine. Got the HSD L-39 which is a foam model. Not overly impressed with it after I received it. It pretty much comes set up with everything. A guy who flies in my recently joined field recommended I go with a BVM UAT. What UAT are you using? Or should I just hold on to what came with my setup.??? Been following you for a while.

90% of our builds get a Model Aviation Products UAT. (MAP UAT). I needed extra weight in the nose of this one so it’s one of the fancy heavy ones.

Thanks. Nope not happy with the video quality at all. That is unfortunately what happens when I want my own flights filmed. Most people have a 0.1% chance of filming flight video properly.

Why didn’t you move the tank forward to get rid of 500 grams of lead?

Fuel tank is fixed. UAT would be silly any more forward. I could add a 4th battery but it would just be powering the landing gear which uses almost zero power.
An aircraft this size doesn’t notice an extra pound of weight

@@thelightersideofrcbetter an extra battery than lead. Useful weight vs dead weight. At least the extra battery helps to provide more flying time between charges than useless lead.

Took me awhile to stop laughing after reading through the comments. Man builds a beautiful aircraft, takes the time to breakdown the high points and the reasoning for the choices made . He shares the nerve racking maiden flight and films it himself with detailed narration for to enjoy . Then the comments come ….” Bad filming , need a good cameraman , should have used this , not that , weight should be adjusted etc… “ . Seriously, how about thanking him for sharing and making an extended effort to included us in the experience ? Negative Nellies sitting at the computer being key board critics . They bring nothing to the table but jealousy and a know it all attitude.
