I use normal pasturised milk (no boil) and it works wonderfully!!! Lasts for up to 4 weeks in the fridge! Also.......strained it makes the best creamy yogurt cheese ever. Just line a square container with cheesecloth pour in the strained creamy goodness to the rim, fold the cloth closed, pop the lid on and let it sit in the fridge for 5-7 days!!! No need to buy cream cheese anymore.....this stuff is awesome!!!
I make yogurt once a week - although I personally do the 'boil method' - sterilizing the pot, bringing the milk up to boil, cooling, then adding the yogurt starter, incubate for 10 hours, chill undisturbed for 6, strain (same strainer) for about 3 hours. It's a longer process by a few hours, but so worth it. Fairlife milk is $$$. And out of each batch of non-sweetened yogurt, I freeze my own 1 TBSP starter cubes and keep those in a container in the freezer. I haven't bought yogurt in 2 years!
Karen Lombardi / reg milk is better then fair life. It’s almost $4 for 1/2 gallon. I’ve recently tried it and it’s not as good as the traditional way. The whey doesn’t even come out yellow with fair life. I keep the whey and use it as my starter. Fair life also needs to sit for 12 hours to get the tangy Greek flavor. I also used the condensed milk in it. Wasn’t a fan. To each his own.
At what point do you freeze the 2-3 tablespoon? Like right after the instapot incubates 8-10hrs or after you strain and leave it in the refrigerator for a few hour?
When it's completely strained to my liking, I transfer it all into a designated yogurt container - THEN I pull my Tablespoons to freeze. After they freeze, I pop them into zip bags and into a sealed container. I thaw them out in a measuring cup that I set into a dish of warm water while I get my yogurt started. Don't microwave it!
I've never even tried Fairlife ... because all they have at my market is Chocolate anyway! I never thought of using the whey for starter ... I'll give that a try too! And I'm with you about the sweet ... I like it plain, with honey and fruit, I've used flavored syrups for a changeup, use it on potatoes, and my famous banana bread :)
Karen Lombardi why waste your actual edible yogurt when you can use the whey? Whey stays in the fridge for 6 months or you can freeze it. Most people dump the whey but it’s good for smoothies, gardening, making breads. You don’t need to waste any of the milk when making yogurt. I’d never buy yogurt again. I’m single and I make it 2 times a week. I also make Kiefer. It has 3 times The probiotics then yogurt and it’s easier. It’s a little weird at first with the separation but no tools needed. Just the grains. No cooking, it just sits and it’s sooooo healthy. The amazing things God provided us naturally for cents. ✨🙏✨
My mom had been battling a post operative infection. I made your Greek Yogurt (fantastic BTW) and since her doctor said my mom should really up her intake of protein for wound healing, I gave her the whey from my straining of my yogurt. She is doing really great now her infection is almost gone and her wound is healing nicely. She uses the whey in her smoothies every morning. And, she loves the yogurt too. She say's it's the best she has ever had. Thanks, Jeff!!
I been making yogurt for 6 years and havent bought a starter since. a new gallon of milk after heating to 185 degrees then i cool it down to115 degree add a quarter cup of my yogurt stir in put in insta pot with loose lid on venting. Turn on yogurt setting and push 12 hours. Then I put it in colander with coffee filters and let it drain two hours in pan underneath. Perfect thick yogurt every time.
If you invert the strainer on the inside of the lid( minus the bottom container) it will pop out like a Jell-O mold. If you keep the whey and add berries or bananas or what ever, it makes a great health smoothie!
Got the strainer you mentioned, thank you. I prefer whole milk but would rather have milk direct from the source because it tastes better than homogenized pasteurized stuff from the stores. In the dark of the morning before breakfast in the sub zero weather I'd trudge cup the road to the barns and find the milk cow waiting to enter the milking parlour. I'd pout some feed in her manger, clean her udder band tie her tail down to keep from being swatted as stuff thawed, sitting on an one legged stool I'd begin milking. The feral barn cats would line up along the wall behind the cow waiting to be squirted with milk. I'd usually fill 2 pails. I'd bury forehead in her flank where it was nice and warm. I'd lug the full pails back to the houseman taking them to a cold room where there was a large tank with a conical bottom and a glass tube on the side of it with a spigot on the bottom. The cream would float to the top so that the milk could poured off. What was not drunk or used for cooking was fed to the chickens and slopped to the pig. Cream was used for tea and grandma's coffee and churned. It was also sold to the local creamery along with eggs that were candled before taken to town. All of our cattle were tested by a vet so there was little danger of disease. All of the milking was done before and after the schoolbus. In the winter I never saw my home in daylight but we could see the Aurora Borealis.
Gene Park I remember that cold milk as it ran over the ice thing into a milk can . So cold ,sooo delicious. My mom didn’t have a butter churn, so she used a clean mason jar, and the butter was soo good on fresh baked bread. Better then cake 🍰 . Geez...write a book about it all !! You are an amazing story teller. I felt the cold...I laughed at the kitties...like I was lookin over your shoulder ! Thank you...I miss the country...😢
Your recipe is great, from a girl who does not care for yogurt I love it so does my family. Just made my 3rd batch. My strainer cane in this morning and now I am making the Greek. Thank you, I love my pot and looking forward to making your dip. And checking your other recipes. Thank you a pleasure to listen to.
We love our instant pot because of you, therefore we have named our instant pot "Jeffrey" in your honor. Your videos are perfect. Our Jeffery recently made gumbo and it was the best ever. Thanks so much.
I am making my very first batch as we speak, boil method. When I put it in to incubate, I set it for 9 hrs. The timer started counting up, wasn’t expecting that and was confused. I ran to you tube and looked you up and was reassured that my pot is working properly. Thanks so much for the video and instructions!
I can't tell you how often I come back to your recipe!!! Hope you are well during this difficult time. Thank you for inspiring me to experiment in the kitchen!!
I made the one using the condensed milk. It is the best yogurt ever. Not too sweet but just right. Made homemade granola for it and it is great! Thanks. Love all of your videos. Got my Granddaughter hooked on the instant pot and you too. My Granddaughter is ordering the strainer to do Greek. (I used Fage Greek yogurt)
Still my favorite. Simple and DELICIOUS! Thanks again. I freeze 1/2 because I live alone and the sweetened one thaws exactly like when it was first made. Some say the texture changes but not mine maybe the condensed milk?
People please leave his music alone, his video's are great, if you don't like the music, just tune it out. He has so much good information. and very plesant. Love you Jeffrey
To tell you the truth I didn't even realize there was music until you pointed it out, Jeff has good taste in music sounds like light piano jazz. I guess I was just so tuned in on Jeff's instructions, but yeah you people leave the music alone!
I just made the regular yogurt and it is absolutely perfect and SO delicious! I think it is one of the most yummy things I've made in my IP! Thanks Jeff!
I’ve been wanting to make yogurt in this thing for a while. Now you have given me the motivation to do so. Thank you and I’ll do an update to let you know how turns out.
I bought an Instant Pot three weeks ago, and made yogurt in it using full-fat milk. Just put it on the Yogurt setting on High, and it will boil the milk for you to 180 F. Then remove the bowl to a cold ice bath and stir until it reaches 110 F. Then stir in your culture starter yogurt, and put the pot back into the Instant Pot. Hit Yogurt button again, but this time on the Normal setting. Set the time for 8 to 10 hours, and it works perfectly ❤
Love your videos. thanks so much you really helped me figure out what kind i like the best. I have already made the one with sweetened condensed and love , but I think I may leave it out the next time cause I don't need the added sugar.
Tried your recipe for the "regular" yogurt. Omgosh! I followed each step and it came out perfect. There is no comparison with store bought. I will never buy yogurt from a store again. ❤❤
Jeffery, you are a hoot and a half! Thank you for all your encouragement, your orange and blue “Instant Pot Bibles” and just being fun to watch and learn from!
Thanks! I had no idea you could make yogurt without heating the milk up and cooling it down before you added the yogurt starter. Thanks! I have that yogurt strainer, it works great. I have lined it with coffee filters, it makes getting the strained yogurt out a bit easier without hurting the fine mesh.
Jeffrey Thank you for this yogurt video i am a Diabetic and i like to have homemade quick healthy easy recipes and i love yogurt but it's expensive so thank you for this recipe i really appreciate it.
ty so much for caving on your yogurt stance :D I stopped buying yogurt at the grocery store when they started sweetening with frankenstein sweeteners. I absolutely love the idea of using condensed milk as a sweetener :)
I just bought the Fairlife milk and condensed milk and I’m going to try this tonight. Thanks for the excellent tutorial! Oh and the yogurt for starter!
I have found the easier and safer way to get the yogurt out of the strainer is.. Put the strainer lid over the yogurt and tip it upside down onto the lid. The yogurt will just plop right out. wala
or turn it upside down over a bowl and it plops right out! For a long time I was scooping it out of the strainer and lost half of it, then discovered it plops right out in a bowl!
@@jenniferhowansky7496 I also have an instant pot the smallest and does not have the option to make yogurt, but after searching so many videos on TH-cam I found one, finally, this is the link, I hope it helps you, today I just finished preparing how he explained in the video, but I'll know tomorrow! The name of his TH-cam channel is: Todd And Chelsea Hodenfield. the video is called: "Homemade yogurt made in Instant pot without yogurt button". Thanks for making the video I am so excited in making homemade yogurt. My grandmother used to make homemade yogurt the old fashion method. Now I have an instant pot can't wait to make it next weekend. I love fairlife it has more protein than reg milk.
Beginning 25+ years ago, I would purchase plain Dannon yogurt and place it in a cheesecloth "bag" to strain the whey. Used it for potato casseroles, etc. Then Greek yogurt came along... I will try your method, with my new IP, but may use the cheesecloth, as before. Thanks!
I make it all the time. I put a little honey and chop fresh strawberries and bananas. Plus I put a little vanilla. Everyone says it tastes better than store bought
Hi,just found your video and it's amazing I just have a tiny question about the creamy yogurt, after it cooks do you have to keep it in the pot covered in foil or can it be transferred in a smaller container then rest in the fridge? Thank you in advance
Great video, I got a couple of different things from it we always have here sweetened condensed milk to make flan. I also enjoyed seeing that yogurt strainer I'm going to get one of those I can also use that for when I make my pot cheese that is a cheese that is in between Cottage cheese and farmers cheese you could use it for desserts for regular dinner dishes, my favorite macaroni and pot cheese. Happy New Year!
I make yogurt all the time but I use the boiling method. I never strain it. It's always thick. I use milk, powdered milk and 2 T Fage yogurt. I make 1/2 gallon at time. I keep it in a Mason jar in the refrigerator and it lasts over a month without rotting. Love it so.
I bought my Instant Pot specifically to make yogurt and have been very happy with the results (except for the time my cultures died). I’ve been using the slightly more complex method of scalding the milk first (which requires a thermometer). Now I’m wondering if I should just do the cold start method. Is the ultra pasteurized milk essential because it is not scalded? If not scalding the milk I would definitely sterilize the pot first. I agree with buying the EuroCuisine strainer. So much tidier than coffee filters! I happen to prefer Greek style yogurt and since I am trying to be healthy, I don’t add any sweeteners.
Okay Jeff I have 2 questions, 1. Can I use the low-fat chiobani plain yogurt instead of whole milk yogurt to add to the faiflife? And 2. I'm on a 1200 cal. Diet so what are the calories in 4 0z.? Thank you so much. I love your videos.
We love your TH-cam Channel and your recipes.Keep up the good work. I have used both of the yogurt recipes and like them both. I have found the one that calls for sweetened condensed milk a little sweet for my taste. Using the same recipe, could I cut the condensed by half and still have great results? Thanks so much!
Thanks! I've made yogurt before, but never the easy way you have shown. I've never tried the Fairlife milk, but I'm going to. The creamy yogurt looks so yummy!
Would you add vanilla in the beginning like you did with the sweetened condensed milk if you wanted that flavor? Or after it's done along with toppings?
Im a collector of gadgets ..already got lots of electric pressure cookers slowcooker etc which I use everyday. I make my own yoghurt and dont mind improve everything and this instant pot have my undivided attention..what make is it as I surely gonna want one for yoghurt. The fact of multi using makes it the more attractive. I enjoy the vid so much
i just bought a IP Duo 6 quart from Amazon Prime Day. Your Yogurt recipe is the 2nd. thing I'm making today and doing over night as you did. Only I'm using Almond Milk instead. I'll be adding the Stevia sweetner in the morning. I want to Thank You for making this video, all the others are boiling the milk first, which I thought was totally unnecessary. I priced Almond Milk Yogurt at my SuperValu and it was $1.59 per 5 oz. container. The IP will pay for itself in Almond Milk Yogurt itself!!
I've made yogurt about 10 times. It always came out great. I'm going to try it with Fairlife milk. It will cut out 2 steps (heating milk and cooling it to temp). I have the same strainer, it works great. Be gentle with it when cleaning it. Will comment on how it came out. I'll be making it tomorrow. Thanks Jeff
I really enjoyed your video! Informative and down to earth. I was just curious if anyone has try to flavor their yogurt with vanilla. How much flavoring should I use?
Raging Rebels I found an ultra pasteurized milk in a generic brand that was only a buck more than the usual. For me this works til I can pick up a thermometer but...I agree I’d rather not waste a buck every time.
Hello, can yogurt starter be stored in the freezer? I was thinking about putting two tbsp of starter in tiny containers and storing in the freezer so I always have it. That way if I don't want to make yogurt within two weeks I don't have to buy a whole container of starter yogurt. PS Fairlife milk is now available in Canada. Thank you for the wonderful videos!
Hi Jeff, I just found your station and love this video. I have never made homemade yogurt before, but all my friends are making it. Love your video and I can't wait to try it. Will make the regular one first, I think my grandson will go for it with fresh fruit. Can you use juices to flavor yogurt? Do you add to pot while incubating? Appreciate your video and thanks a bunch!
I bought the Euro Strainer thingie. It is very hard to wash clean. I actually ripped one section while washing after the third or fourth time using it. I have had better luck using coffee filters. I line a large plastic strainer with industrial sized coffee filters that I got on Amazon. I use them in sets of two. It takes about 10 or 12 in all. They actually do a better job of straining off the whey than the expensive strainer.
Thank you for teaching us how to make delicious yogurt, telling us that homemade yogurt lasts 2 weeks, and pointing out the savings. Both yogurts can also be made using lactose free yogurt as a starter, making it entirely lactose free without the sweetened condensed milk.
I strain the yogurt (to make Greek yogurt) only AFTER I let it stabilize in the refrigerator for a few hours. I strain for one hour and I get very creamy and smooth Greek yogurt.
I have read That if you want to sweeten your yogurt you should do it after it’s made just before eating. But if you put sugar in the milk while it is incubating that the sugar will kill off all the good bacteria.
Jeff I love all your videos!! Love my IP and love yogurt so I can’t wait to make it just like you showed us. Not sure about the sweetened condensed milk as I’m trying to avoid sugar so what about adding Stevia drops instead? Thank you so much. You’ve taught me everything I needed to know about using my IP. And, all your recipes are the best. 😍
You don't have to have this strainer. Get some tea towels or cheese cloth and put it over your regular strainer and it works perfectly. You can get a 4 pack of tea or flour sack towels for less than $2 at Wal-Mart or target.
Do you know the temperature in the instant pot for yogurt ? I need to have about 90 F to make french cheese like in my country . The base it's simple but instead of adding yogurt to the milk we add "presure" or lemon juice and whey from precedent batching . It is sooooo good but maybe you know about it. Thanks for your help. Merci beaucoup .
Can you make a sweet nd sour yoghurt with the insta pot? The sweet and sour yoghurt is an south asian desert where you add sugar to the milk and make your yoghurt as normal except you add more live culture so that the yoghurt is a little more tangy and then you end up with a sweet nd sour yoghurt. I also like to use half whole milk and 1 tin of carnation milk. I don't own a instant pot but I'd like to purchase one just for the yoghurt function.
As a Canadian I thank you for the tip about using Natrel milk if we can’t get fairlife. Now, another question; our Condensed milk is , of course, metric and is in 300 ml cans. This not the 14 oz that your recipe calls for. Do I need to open a second can or just work with one and a little less sweetness? There is about a 100 ml difference, I think. Thanks
Thank you for the video, I just got my Ultra Duo, 6QT today and once it's done with the water test I'm making this yogurt. I have the Light Free Fairlife Milk instead of the Whole Milk but eh. Looking forward to having some of this yogurt tomorrow morning. No plans in cooking in the IP today besides yogurt so I'll be doing that.
I make yogurt every week in my instant pot. I strain mine. I make smoothies, yogurt sauces such tzatziki sauce. For lactose intolerant people straining eliminates much of the lactose.
If you use the IP to make the Greek-style yogurt - how much is really made after the yogurt whey is discarded? I have a really small apt style fridge-storage is limited.
A quart of milk will give you about 1/2 cup of drained whey. (The longer you drain it, the more whey you'll end up with.) So, it will be about a quart of yoghurt less about 1/2 cup, or about 3-1/2 cups of finished yoghurt.
i know you probably wont get this but im going to ask anyway..lol do you leave the lid gasket on? saw another video that advised taking the lid gasket off because it may contaminate the flavor
I use normal pasturised milk (no boil) and it works wonderfully!!! Lasts for up to 4 weeks in the fridge!

frenchie girl in the usa 😂

I always make a gallon because we strain a lot of the whey out to make Greek yogurt. It reduces by almost half

Jeffrey Thank you for this yogurt video i am a Diabetic and i like to have homemade quick healthy easy recipes and i love yogurt but it's expensive
so thank you for this recipe i really appreciate it.
ty so much for caving on your yogurt stance :D I stopped buying yogurt at the grocery store when they started sweetening with frankenstein sweeteners. I absolutely love the idea of using condensed milk as a sweetener :)
Freeze the whey in an ice cube tray and then empty into a plastic freezer bag. Do the same with stocks.
Made this yesterday and just sampled it (the sweet version) and its utterly delicious x Thank you for yet another great recipe x
No matter who they are we are all one family , The Family of Mankind ! Blessed Be .Happy Holidays And a fantastic New year !!🎉🎊
can i use the yogurt i just made for the starter as my next batch?
Can you link to that strainer? Thanks for the tutorial! I've been considering making my own yogurt but hadn't worked up the nerve yet.
Thank you!! You make learning how to use my new IP fun and relatively easy!! You are very watchable and welcoming!
I made regular yogurt over the weekend using your method and it was delicious! Thanks Jeff! Love your videos.
Thanks for this demonstration. My first try wasn’t successful but you give me hope. Lol. I love your videos.
I just bought the Fairlife milk and condensed milk and I’m going to try this tonight. Thanks for the excellent tutorial! Oh and the yogurt for starter!
Can you use the same techinque in a slow cooker?
Best video on instant pot yogurt. So many others were incomplete.
Can you make yogurt in an Instant Pot Lux even though it doesn’t have a “Yogurt” preset button?
I'll liked to know too!
Me too
@@jenniferhowansky7496 I also have an instant pot the smallest and does not have the option to make yogurt, but after searching so many videos on TH-cam I found one, finally, this is the link, I hope it helps you, today I just finished preparing how he explained in the video, but I'll know tomorrow! The name of his TH-cam channel is: Todd And Chelsea Hodenfield. the video is called: "Homemade yogurt made in Instant pot without yogurt button". Elder to help you with the video, I'll tell you how my yogurt looked!

Just made this as the video instructs. It came out perfectly and I have a strainer like Jeff's en route. I will make Greek yogurt next.
Thanks!
I like to use the whey as a substitue for buttermilk in pancakes
May I ask a question please? If you choose to use the sweetened condensed milk, can you still strain it and make it Greek?
Yep.
Thanks for the Video! I am wondering could one also do it with the sous vide option? Some Instant Pots do not have youghurt option, but sous vide
✅ Simply set it to 110F.
I make yogurt all the time but I use the boiling method. I never strain it. It's always thick. I use milk, powdered milk and 2 T Fage yogurt. I make 1/2 gallon at time. I keep it in a Mason jar in the refrigerator and it lasts over a month without rotting. Love it so.
Risa's Kluttered Kitchen same here. I use nestle Nido powdered milk or Peak with regular milk. Just a quarter or half cup.
Charles Byrne I just use ShopRite store brand 2 tbsp for 1/2 gallon. One of the only things I use it for.
So enjoyed watching your video. Very informative and so simply explained. Thank you for sharing.
love the simplicity of your method...some of the other videos I've checked make it look like rocket science...
Im making yogurt for the first time using your recipe. My housemates and I are excited!!!
Very good video! Clear directions and easy to watch!
Scalding is to denature proteins to avoid curds, maybe not scalding helps for greek style.
I made this last night!! Added condensed milk!! YUMMY - Thanks Jeffrey
Okay Jeff I have 2 questions,
1. Can I use the low-fat chiobani plain yogurt instead of whole milk yogurt to add to the faiflife? And
2. I'm on a 1200 cal. Diet so what are the calories in 4 0z.? Thank you so much. I love your videos.
To question 1 yes, it just needs to have active cultures.
I used half a can of condensed milk and it turned out really good.
I love when he said "what can't it do!? Well it can't do my taxes!!" This is video help inspire me! Thanks for posting!
Please, please, please make more recipes in the Ultra pot!!!!
Thank you :-)
I do my add-ins afterward, mostly because it lets me change the flavor from bowl to bowl. I usually make a gallon at a time.
I enjoy the vid so much
Very good video, very clear and straight to the point
i just bought a IP Duo 6 quart from Amazon Prime Day.
I'm going to try it with
Fairlife milk. It will cut out 2 steps (heating milk and cooling it to temp). I have the
same strainer, it works great. Be gentle with it when cleaning it. Will comment on how
it came out. I'll be making it tomorrow. Thanks Jeff
Made it with Fairlife milk. Results were fantastic.
I like doing the cold start, less hassle. Don't have
to heat and cool milk.
🤣 hahahaaaaa, if you do ever find an Instant Pot that can do taxes, promise you'll let us know 🤣
Hello, can yogurt starter be stored in the freezer? I was thinking about putting two tbsp of starter in tiny containers and storing in the freezer so I always have it. That way if I don't want to make yogurt within two weeks I don't have to buy a whole container of starter yogurt. PS Fairlife milk is now available in Canada. Thank you for the wonderful videos!
I tried to condense yogurt, it so good. I eat for breakfast with my oatmeal. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Thank you! I wouldn’t use juices as it will change the consistency. Just add some condensed milk with the fairlife and some fruit at the end.
Love the recipe. Nothing better then homemade Yogurt! I would love to see you try making a dairy free coconut yogurt using the IP :)
Me to. I cant have dairy products, even lactose free stuff bothers me
You will probably never see this. To make my greek yogurt sweeter, can I add monk fruit or stevia while it is incubating?
I have read That if you want to sweeten your yogurt you should do it after it’s made just before eating. But if you put sugar in the milk while it is incubating that the sugar will kill off all the good bacteria.
Help! I have the new Evo Duo and there is only a high and low ferment option for yogurt - what do I choose seeing you advise medium???
I'm here searching for this answer 😭
Will try this with some plant-based milk as I have a family history of Cancer and need to avoid all the Estrogen in dairy. Thanks for posting
If your Instant pot has a yogurt program, it has an automatic boil to bring the milk to temp, then cool to 110, or warmer on the wrist.
I have found that making it homemade and using no sugar, it is not as tangy or as sour than store bought. much more enjoyable to me
You don't have to have this strainer.
Thank you. Very informative. Can't wait to make it in my Ultra. The creamy version!
Great thanks!
So no boiling or heating up the milk first?
Correct. I tried 9 hours and will do 10 next time. It really is as easy as he demonstrated.
Thanks
Thanks Jeff and Happy New Year, tc. HoppyBob
I whip my greek yogurt yogurt staining so it smooth as silk. I cure mine for 16 to 18 hours, i like it tangy.
I make yogurt every week in my instant pot. I strain mine. I make smoothies, yogurt sauces such tzatziki sauce. For lactose intolerant people straining eliminates much of the lactose.
Can I make yogurt in my lux? I do not have the yogurt button. I have a 3qt and 6qt
If you use the IP to make the Greek-style yogurt - how much is really made after the yogurt whey is discarded? I have a really small apt style fridge-storage is limited.
A quart of milk will give you about 1/2 cup of drained whey. (The longer you drain it, the more whey you'll end up with.) So, it will be about a quart of yoghurt less about 1/2 cup, or about 3-1/2 cups of finished yoghurt.
i know you probably wont get this but im going to ask anyway..lol do you leave the lid gasket on? saw another video that advised taking the lid gasket off because it may contaminate the flavor
anyone else feel obligated to ritualistically mumble and murmur "mmm....yogurt" at bedtime on yogurt making night?!" haha!
Brewing as I type. Can’t wait to try tomorrow!
Turned out amazing and mild. Nothing like you buy in stores .
Also i dont have a yogurt function so do i put it on slow cook to make yogurt
Hi Momma C! Does it work well?
It won't work. Yogurt cultures die at temps above 115F.
For added protein without added fat, mix in two cups of dry powered milk to your cold milk before you heat.
Turned out perfect!
Made yogurt using your recipe, it is fantastic. Will do it again.
