There is a trucking company near my house that has a few not so old Kenworths sitting dead in the field with grass growing around them, and beleive it or not, they have a 1983 (35 years!)Mack still running on the road! Mack is definetely the true difinition of what is a real truck!
Unfortunately none!Except that i have act as a helper on an old B model in the early '70s.I've been surrounded with Mack vehicles;fire dept's, bus, bus wreckers (for the Can, Brill's!) dumpers and all.Great memories early '80s with brand new flat faced MB-600 pumpers for the city of Verdun.
@@johndavidson4128 When Waylon Jennings was touring in the 70s, they needed a semi, so they bought an old B model Mack. I think that one had the “shack in the back”.
Trying to see the shift pattern. We have a b75 dump truck in our barn( my wife’s family’s barn) been sitting for at least 30 years, but looks mint! I am going to get it running!
I bet if you had someone to help you, he could tow it around. That’s how we got my 69 Kenworth running. It was a rather cold day, too! I had to fill up the tanks full, and run her about 100 miles, before she would start on her own, though.
Dean, I agree. Not only is it in the way, which could be a hazard to safe driving, it is a lazy driver's way of hanging it up when not in use. It looks messy too. I like a neat cab when driving.
Absolutely beautiful truck! Very sad that the trucking companies don't make them with such detail anymore. Thank you for sharing...
They used to say if you waved at a B model driver, and he had a free hand to wave back- he was either lugging the engine or coasting down hill!😳
Makes sense.
Great looking truck. Gotta love them old b's
Love the sound of these trucks
I would drive that truck every day with a smile on my face
Love them old Bulldogs.
Good sounding engine!

How many Macks you ever drove?

Yes i agree, Mack had a black cloud for a while over them, but now they seem to have rescucitate...
@ChrisHallett83 ugh volvos suck. Long live twin stick MACKS!!!
very nice one stack mack with a window in the back, old saying.

Very nice b75. 😀😎

A sweet ride!!!
...the music...of the gears...gone by...
It's in good nick, you have done it up well. I'm partial to the quadbox. Had P motor B model and a C motor R model quad.
Thing to do before I die - drive a Mack B series truck.
7:55 the answer is HELL YEA!!!
there is no grinding or gouging on the shifting very good at something most people cant comprehend ehhh
👍🏻nice rig!!
Good video during the 110 degree weather. You could get a newest truck with ice cold AC.
It would have been nice to be able to see the whole tractor
Oh they must have a different video up, right?
Nice video Tom. That would be nice to A/C in our trucks.
We could have used it for the last few weeks Chris !

That mic cable is really in the way! Great truck though. :)

Nice truck
When I was lumber out of northern cal" portable road blocks, of course when you driving 300 lots s5uff gets in your way
Ah it's a split shift! Those look much easier to get the hang of than a normal 12 speed or however many speeds this old thing has.
Dennis is the master of the Mack !
I agree. I'm in a 2023 freightshaker for just about a year now. It has a 12 speed auto mat. I think it's trash.
That looks very hard to drive and i have drivin manual transmission for 17 years
Would love to have a 59 Mack. Just not coordinated enough. Didn't see you even clutch to shift gears.
no need to use the clutch.
Damn sick truck
Huh?
Are you keeping that hid from California CARB board? They get pissed off easy about old diesel trucks.
Little easier than the older ones.
That's way cool

Cool!
Magnificent .. Thermodyne???
Hi guest a question what the short handle on right side of steer column for anybody 😀🙏

rileydog362 thank I have about 2 million miles under belt it is very nice to see few still doing it right
Trolley brakes
What engine does it have?
Does anyone know what the price tag was on this truck brand new
What place is this? So tropically enviroment to being into America...looks alike southest Florida were here
It looks like California to me. I don't know where it is but that is exactly how central California looks. I live in Fresno.
@@markflierl1624 Looks correct, even has the concrete irrigation ditches.
Need less scenery and more shifting. What's riding on the hood?
This looks like California and they don't allow old trucks any more.
HOW BAD DOES IT BOUNCE WITHOUT A TRAILER?
They ride better with a trailer.
Is that the V8?
Never mind, he just stuck the camera out the window. From inside the cab it sounded like the Mack V8
I'm lost
