I am sharing with you my experience during my application with Philippine Airlines. For those aspiring cabin crew/ flight attendants, here’s some tips and ideas on what to expect when applying for the job or going to an open day recruitment.

Hey y’all! I just wanna share my Cabin Crew experience for Philippine Airlines/PAL Express, for the record I tried to apply for the position multiple times and got rejected. It came to the point where I am already desperate just to enter the Airline Industry. As far as I know, PAL is the most difficult one to pass the assessment and of course it is the Flag Carrier of the Philippines. During my first attempt, it was held on Cebu City at Indiana Aerospace University, it was on July 9, 2022.
One week before the Open Day, I got a scratch from my dog and I didn’t expect that the scratch was deep. I can’t back out because I already purchased my round trip ticket. Moving on to the day of hiring. I got eliminated during the 1st stage of the assessment, which is the Physical Check-Up. I knew that the reason was about the scratch on my left arm. I flew back home in Davao City and I constantly blaiming myself for being so careless.
Two months later, PAL annouced that they’re gonna visit Davao City, so of course I don’t wanna miss the chance. I tried to apply again and I wanna try my luck because the schedule of the Walk-In interview was on September 10, 2022. It was a very special day for me. It was my Birthday. I spent 12 hours that day without eating because I was too nervous but this time I made it until the final interview. I passed the Physical Check-Up, Inital Interview, Medical, Group Dynamics and I made it until the Final Impact Interview. The higher-ups told us if we passed the Final Impact Interview then there is a 95% chance we are automatically passed for the Executive Panel Interview and soon will be considered newly hired cabin crews.
That time, I was the last applicant to interview, I was so hungry and I lost all of my energy and by the time I entered the room, I was shocked and my world turned upside down, because the assigned interviewer was the one who eliminated me during my first attempt. I still gave my best to answer to all of his questions but I can sense the way he looks at me. I feel like he knows that I’m the guy who applied not too long ago. He asked me, “are you sure this is your first time?” with a suspicious look. And I said “Honestly Sir NO, I applied last two months ago and I just don’t wanna miss the chance” and his face got upset and replied “that’s why you’re familiar” and guess what, I failed.
I went home crying, traumatized and devastated. I can’t believe I got rejected and I knew that my answers are on point but I knew that he eliminated me because I didn’t wait for 6 months to re-apply.
Thank you for sharing your story in PAL. I am Korean, and found Filipino applicants have one more chance than Korean because the recruitment of PAL is held once a year in Korea.

I can see the bottom line btw Philippine an Korean interviews of PAL is the same, but the environment is a bit different. It is all about if the applicant is well aware of
1) the company the applicant is applying for such as history, motto, differences to competitors
2) what cabin crew's roll
3) what cabin crew's ideal attitude based on the roll and company motto
4) what the hard parts of this job, and how to handle them
Plus, if the applicant's personality and life style fit to cabin crew

Ang galing niyo po mag english sana ganito din ako. I'm still practicing on how to be fluent on speaking english. Also super clear skin mo. Maybe ang dahilan lang po kaya ka nareject is dahil hindi ka confident enough dahil sabi mo po nanginig ko. Siguro kung confident ka that time pasok ka na :) I think yun na lang talaga ang kulang. Ako english at some small acne :/ I'll try to apply on sept 14 palex also. I really wish I can speak fluently like you. Nice video keep it up! :)
Thank you so much! Goodluck to you sa open day! Just practice and practice and practice lang. Ang ginagawa ko para macheck ung english ko at facial expression is that I practice in front of a mirror. Stand straight, smile and look at yourself in the mirror while practicing your intro. You will notice a lot of things when you do that.

Hi, just like to ask if do you still have the chance to qualify even if you have a missing tooth though it is not obvious when you smile? Thank you. It would be a great help.
Thats depends on who the HR is. because some hr really checks your teeth when you do the initial interview. It might not be obvious but is it visible?

For ladies, make sure to follow the grooming standard. Zero baby hair and must wear the standard makeup look. This includes brown eyeshadow and bright red lipstick (for pal/palex). Business attire must be well pressed. If you're applying for an FA position, you must look the part.
It is important to follow the grooming standard of the specific airline that you're applying for because it is included in their policy. That is the first thing that they observe in the go see stage, the grooming.
Are braces permitted?
OMG! same!!! Nanginginig din yung lips ko di ako makasmile ng maayos 😂 i was there too yun nga lang di pasok :(

Ma'am pag dual citizen or adopted ng foreigner bawal mag apply? Nakalagay kasi filipino citizen only nakakalungkot yung reason na hindi ako makapasok kasi adopted ako ng foreigner.
Ooh I don't know ee sorry. Pero kung yun naman ang nakasulat sa requirements nila most probably yun tlga ang hanap nila.

Hello! May I ask what kind of picture do they need? Is it passport sized picture and what background color do they require?
2 passport size, white background in formal attire
Not sure if this is still the requirement for the picture

Hi po, hindi po ba talaga pwede may scar sa arm. Kahit isa lang po or medj hindi visible?
From what I know hindi siya pwede. I also saw some girls during the application na merons scars or galis sa legs and they didn't pass. If its really not visible like sobrang di tlga siya halata you can try covering it up with makeup

That I'm not quite sure 😂but I do suggest that you scrub it or try mag hilod para matanggal ung darkness

Hello po maam, id like to ask for men po may tattoo sa wrist pero di naman makikita pag naka uniform na. Papasa po ba ako or no?
Regarding that po I'm not sure. Kasi sa interview process chinecheck nila ung arms and from what I saw wala akong nakitang applicant na may visible tattoos. Better to ask ung mga mismong FA para sure

For initial interview hindi po, but I think sa medical na po nila chinicheck un
It is okay na mai braces kahit sa ilalim lg? Pero ipapatanggal konaman if ipapatanggal nila

Hi, hoping for you to see this comment. I have straight line scar sa braso ko like 3 inches, mahigpit kaya sila sa scar?
Saan sa arms? Kung di naman siya visible or natatakpan naman ng makeup i think it's fine naman pero kung keloids or dark scars baka it's a no.
Most of the open days na pinuntahan ko wala pa kong nakitang may nakapasa because of scars na malala.
Pero I have a classmate na FA he has a birthmark on his cheek, ang ginagawa niya is he covers it with makeup.

I saw a lot of applicants who have scars on their legs pero I haven't seen one who passed. Kung visible ung scar I suggest you try to conceal it with makeup.

Just go on a diet ahahah although hindi nila chinecheck ung BMI mo on the initial interview, but still, take the initiative na rin. Kase your appearance talaga ang tinitignan sa initial interview ee. Your appearance, the way you talk, and how you carry yourself.

Hi need po dapat proportionate yung height sa weight kasi even na pasado ka sa lahat wala ka pa ring ligtas sa medical iche check talaga nila yern tapos kung tagilid papauwiin kana langggg :((
Is PAL an International Airline??
Yes. PAL is the Philippines' flag carrier. it travels both internationally and domestically.
Sa observation ko po, Para ka pong naiiyak lagi kapalit nagsasalita.

Hindi po pwede ang may dentures pero pwede po ang veneers

Yes pwede naman there are FA that have tattoos on their body. Importante di tlga siya visible lalo na pag naka service uniform ung short sleeve polo shirts nila
Hi sonella... I'm currently working abroad, and my employer just booked me ticket flying to philippines but im quite confused if they pay for it already... paano po macheck kung purchased na or nabayaran nba nila ito... maraming salamat. GODBLESS

Is slacks okay? And is blazer/coat is required?
Preferably skirts cuz they'd want to see your legs. Coat/ blazer is not required.

Mapuputi lang ba tinatanggap? Bakit marami namang morena na FA sa pal? Yung iba nga chubby pa at di naman fair skin. I think nasa pag sagot yan sa interview at nasa confidence yan.
