  • Hello World,
    This is going to be the next episode of my Poker Vlog. I play several 2/5 at a single table and make 1600$. Happy with the result and how I am playing. Wish the J9 hand would have went my way but Quad Jacks completely makes up for it.

    Audio isn't mono, stuck in stereo only out of the left speaker. This happened in one of your other recent videos, too.

      For me, it's a matter of principle, kind of like chopping when you're in the blinds. Either you always do it or don't. People changing it up based on their hands rubs me the wrong way.

    • @johnscott8405
      @johnscott8405 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GWrench9 my thought, is that it’s actually disadvantageous for the drawing hand to run it multiple times. Imagine the scenario of the drawing hand hitting one of its outs on first runout; it now has less outs available to hit on the second/third runout.

    Super rare to get max value with quads. People wait months for those kinds of situations to occur. Besides playing against a super aggressive player who's betting and raising every hand the other person needs to connect somehow which is ridiculously unlikely. Definitely a hand to remember!

    I’ve flopped quads once- playing for 1.5 years now. I was up absurd amount playing 1/3, had 1300 on my stack with 4 players covering me.
    Preflop: I had 22 on BB, UTG straddle, 8 players limped straddle. Flop was 225. Checked around.
    Turn, 2257, club draw made flush.
    SB bets 40$, I call, CO raises min 80$, SB again essentially min raises to 160$, I call again, the CO calls. It was like being trapped in the middle of 2 people throwing money and I’m just hoping they don’t realize I’m still there on the hand (hahah). River was 2257Q, 4 clubs now. SB checks, I’m still on high with the nut, I bet 200$, CO raises 500$, SB goes all in for 400$, I raise all in, and the CO snap tables pocket queens and calls. I show my quads, the SB shows pocket 7.
    The CO flatted QQ, hoping all the action before would entice the straddle to raise. But it didn’t happen. And the SB made boat on turn and CO made boat on river. Was one of the happiest day of my life.

    Reminds me of having pocket 5’s and the flop is 5,5,9 with two hearts. I check, player bets, second caller i call. Turn is nothing. Check and the other player bets. I call. Third player folds after a tank. River is a heart. Folded player is disgusted assume he had a heart draw. I bet, other player goes all in. I call. He had pocket 9’s

    9:55 ZOMG no don't check TP3K! When he leads the flop, that's (a) a flush draw or (b) a weak top pair. Do *not* give him two cards for the price of his big flop bet. When you do that, his silly "turn-my-hand-face-up" donk bet succeeds. Twice a year, they'll donk the flop, then check/raise you out of your shoes on the turn - fine, that's what makes poker fun. But usually they'll either call (which is almost always great, cause you're way in front) or fold, which is fine, because they forfeit their equity.
    Do *not* check that turn, Kyle!

    5:00 I'd prefer betting the turn with your TPTK exactly because of (a) all the awful river cards, and (b) because of all the value you can get from pair+draw, yada. But *if* you check back the turn, then yes, you *must* call a half-pot bet on the river. Think of all the junk that you're one-and-done c-betting the flop. When he bets half-pot on the river, you're getting 3:1, you only need to be good 25% of the time. Sure, you're gonna get shown the occasional straight or two pair, but not more than 75% of the time. You leveled yourself, Kyle :-(.

    • @MaTTer1235
      @MaTTer1235 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's okay to ask if it's a really big pot. You obviously shouldn't revolve your playstyle around expecting hands to run out twice. But if you don't have the bankroll to play at those stakes you should probably stick to 1-2 games. Playing with scared money is too easy for good players to exploit.
