So someone who tries to sound like her isn't going to be very impressive. But when a singer takes the song, and sings it their way, it can be just as beautiful as the original, depending on the original artist, and the talent of the person singing it their way. In fact, there have been quite a few songs that weren't popular when originally done, that are blockbusters when another artist performs them.
This guy has control like few others. He dances from pitch to pitch with ease, and always makes the right expressive choices. Most artists would be lauded just for those skills, but Josh also brings that exceptional timbre that works so well in many different materials. I can't believe he isn't everywhere.
Hate to compare Josh to Joe Cocker but when I close my eyes and hear his voice, he reminds me of my best singer. So glad we have him in our generation NOW. I love his soulful voice, simply beautiful and touching. I want ALL his music.
