McCalls 8110 pattern cover showcases the dress as an overlay. I think it would look gorgeous with a black slip dress or tank dress underneath. Happy sewing! 💖

Hi Christine, So sorry to hear about your fall. I totally understand how you feel. I had a black eye last year, following my collie pulled me over and hit eye brow on the manhole cover!

Oh Christine, I really know how you are feeling, I did the exact same thing, tripped and fell flat on my face, smashed one of my teeth and bruised my lip, its a wonder I did not brake my nose. Please be aware that from that fall, I had to go to my chiropractor, about a month later my hip hurt then it went to my groin, and I could not walk. I hope you dont have this problem. Your fabrics are amazing, cannot wait to see what you make. Happy sewing xx

Poor you with that fall, hope your confidence didn't get bruised too! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Defo would love a lowdown on the instructions and fit of the Hussard trousers please. For the embroidered net, I've seen some amazing Wilder gowns made up in similar sheer fabric, worn with a plain slip/ sheath dress underneath. Think that's a stunning look for an occasion, What do you reckon?

Loving the materials purchased in Spain, I particularly liked the blue and white inbetween lawn and cotton and think it would look good in the blouse and skirt set, would show off the design better. Get well soon.

Bad luck with the fall. I've recently returned from a mini Norwegian fjords cruise. At our first stop the shuttle bus into town dropped us right outside a beautiful fabric shop. Norway is seriously expensive so I restrained myself 😅. On the French fabric, it needs to be a French pattern I think.

I have several options for that gorgeous black embroidered fabric. I'm not sure if they are all available from their websites, particularly the big 4 patterns, but I'll list them anyway.

Hi Christine, What a terrible fall you had it must have shaken you up. However, being a tough cookie you still went fabric shopping, well done. Like someone else said if you hadn't mentioned it we would never have known. The fabrics are lovely and very reasonable ....wish the shop was where I live and such an efficient way of shopping for fabric. x

Hope you feel better soon. Isn't that a fantastic fabric shops! I was also in Barcelona earlier this year but just for the day with my family. I only had about an hour and a half in the fabric shops. To be honest I was a bit overwhelmed! Did manage to buy a couple though! 😅 Definitely worth another trip! 💕

Have a look at Sinclair Patterns …they have a tall, regular and petite files, I think in all their patterns … not sure if they have anything floaty for your French fabric but worth a look

Glad to see you are healing. That shop sounds incredible. I just finished the swim-style Andi set today. I made the medium sleeveless top. Just be warned it’s cropped so I lengthened it by 3 inches and also the v neck is quite low so I added an inch to that too.
Just a thought about your playsuit and toilet issues - could you add a ribbon and tuck it in to help you pull the zipper - like on a wetsuit?

Oh wow the others were near fives y Casals and were called donnas textiles and La casa del retail. The designer fabric shop was Gratacos but was a bit further away. Enjoy
