- After a seemingly endless three month wait, we took delivery of our new Turtleback Expedition trailer. Of course we took it out immediately to get our feet wet in the magical world of adventure trailering and roof top tenting. We're in love.

Thanks! We are a bit behind on editing and sharing these stories, but since this first outing, this trailer has been to hell and back and we are even more impressed with it now.

@@timweimar8768 Get the Icon suspension! Mandatory. The trailer is SO much more planted and stable than any other trailer suspension system on the market.

I picked up my turtleback on December 28th and towed it three days back to Washington state. Hadn't had it out yet. But I cant wait!! I just put a huge CVT Denali on it as I have 4 kidos. But so far its awsome...

Nice, informative video. Just came across your channel and am considering buying one of these trailers this year. Now that you’ve had it for some time, would you recommend it to others?
Absolutely! It's built like a tank and it's only gotten better for us.
So, where were folks at when filming on location. I'm from Tucson, myself.
This was in the Saddleback Ranch area. The 24 Hour Town mountain bike race area, to be more specific.

I pick up my Turtleback Trailer in July. Thanks for the video. Any options you could have done without? Any you wish you had? You mentioned being very happy with the Icon suspension.

I can't think of anything that was available at the time that we regret not getting, nor anything we wish we didn't pay for.
We have since added most of the upgrades that Turtleback now offers as options that didn't exist when we bought ours, like the 23Zero privacy shelter and Turtleback mount for it. We will probably add a solar system to our trailer soon, but since we don't base-camp very much, it's not been a priority item for us.
Definitely go with the Icon suspension. In my semi-professional opinion as a suspension guy, not going with the independent trailing arms on coils springs is simply a mistake for an off-road trailer.

@@RollinDirtyOverland Sweet I went with a getaway but mine will be ready in 4 weeks. Spared no expense with it. Also went with the lithium upgrade.

We're planning to convert to Lithium when the AGM batteries are ready for replacement.
@@RollinDirtyOverland Thanks. I am very excited. This person on this thread said it’s one of the worst built trailers for its price. Kind of puts a damper on things but most people seem to love theirs.
