Spot on analysis, Sophia! Choosing between Pinterest and Instagram really depends on where our vibe and audience align. I've been exploring boost app social lately to jazz up my Instagram stories and reels, it's kinda like having a mini creative studio in your pocket. Perfect for artists short on time but big on dreams.

Pinterest. I did a year contract working for a gold award winning interior designer. They used Pinterest all the time for acquisition for their fit outs. For me it's a no brainer.

Hi Sophie! I have watched countless videos on art and social media and this one was by far was the most helpful. Thank you so much!! I think what clicked is when you suggested we figure out which platform our target audience is most likely to use. It seems obvious, but it just didn't occur to me. All the rest of the information was very good, too. I think you may prefer Pinterest, but that could be because I am so frustrated with Instagram and I am cheering for the other team! ;-)

Hi Sophie, great video so thank you very much! You explain very clearly, the right reasons why Pinterest is what it is and Instagram. Now I know my priorities and why and when to use either one of them. I sell my photos and digital art as POD canvas art, phone cases etc. and Pinterest will become my highest priority, while I "slowly" build a following with Instagram. I agree with all your arguments and that's the conclusion I came to. Now I have to figure out whether to continue to use Etsy and Shopify or dump Etsy and focus 100% on my Shopify store. Really the only benefit of Etsy is the "trust" factor, but is that enough to keep that store open and dilute my Pinterest/Instagram efforst to one or the other. In line with your comments you want to market and sell where your target group/Audience is. Stuff to think about, but you provided another piece of the puzzle so thank you very much!

Hi Hans, I’m so happy you found this useful and agree with the Pinterest choice! I recon if you have a good mailing list then you might find you don’t need Etsy as well? Guess your decision might also be around the numbers - which one gives you the biggest profit? Lastly, only you own your website of course!! If you know what I’m saying…😉😉

I would choose Pinterest without hesitation. The majority of people on there are looking to buy and as for marketing it is probably one of the best.

Hi mam, Your videos are awesome. I love art so I wish to create a Facebook page to post my art and get followers, but I couldn't find a category as Artist instead it shows performing arts, art gallery, etc.. but I have seen so many artists name their category as an artist. how do I select the category as Artist and which type of Facebook page do I want to jump in? please help me to sort out my doubts.
