At 42:15 you were talking about the noise version of bad apple, where if you pause you can't see anything but noise. That is not because of the TH-cam compression algorithm, but just due to way humans perceive borders/movements. It's just changing/swapping out pixels with new (noisy) pixels on the border regions (between black and white in the original video). Which makes our brains perceive a border moving. And if you pause the video, you stop the process of changing pixels, so we can not see a border (since it was never there, it was alway noise, some pixels just happend to be kept the same between frames while others changed, creating the illusion).

Y'know, I'm only about 15 and a half minutes in, and it just hit me that I can see a cursor that always points away from the ship (which I assume _is_ your cursor). Have we... always been able to see that, and I just never noticed it before?
