Good video for some of the basics on Gas vs. Diesel. I’m starting to my research on this and hoping to buy next spring. I’ve 95% made up my mind to go with gas.
For me it’s not only the upfront extra cost with diesel it’s the more expensive upkeep and repairs. Plus I hear it’s more difficult to find qualified diesel mechanics vs. finding one who can work on a Ford V10 gas engine.
I don’t care about better acceleration. While on vacation driving a motor home all I care about is getting there. Yes, large mountains and steep grades are never fun. But for the amount of time actually spent on the steep grades I’m willing to compromise and go slow. Good advice to play it smart and unhook your tow vehicle and have your spouse drive it separately in those situations.
