The "strong girl" lifting the horse is Pippi Langstrumpf. She is basically one of the most famous characters of the children story "Pippi Langstrumpf" written by Astrid Lindgren, a VERY famous writer here. I even went to Astrid Lindgren Elementary School. It first was a book and then they made a bunch of movies, which I watched and loved so much as a kid. It's something almost every german knows. Basically, Pippi Langstrumpf is a nine-year-old overly confident girl who's lived alone in a huge house ever since her father left. She lived there with her horse, Kleiner Onkel (Little Uncle) and pet monkey, Herr Nielson (Mister Nielson). That's basically all the friends she has until one day the two neighbors kids come over and they become friends. It's really sweet and beautiful for kids because the way she lives is exactly the way every child dreams to live. She bakes cake every day, her horse lives in the house, she climbs around the stairs, has lots and lots of money to buy every kind of candy she wants and constantly invents weird things like flying beds or so. It's pretty old, it's literally the same age as my mom. The movies were made in 1969 so it's obviously a pretty different time period but it is made with a lot of love and if you find a video with english subtitles, maybe worth a reaction.

Hey Ryan. Since this movie is older (11 years), the facts are no longer correct! On August 16, 2022, the builders have reached the 1,000,000 working hours. And, YES, everything you see is miniature!! There are now also new sections that have not yet been shown in the film. I have been there several times and am always amazed at what is done there!😯 Udo

If you have the chance take the "behind the scenes" giuded tour. You will see things that aren't visable from the other side. And I don't mean the "backround" stuff of the trains. There is one 18+ scene you can only see from behind the layout.

The Miniatur Wunderland is quite unique in the world. It really is overwhelming visiting for the first time. You need at least 3 hours to go through and look at everything and (as a person who has worked there myself) we usually reccommend that you go through and just look at the surface level of everything and then decide what you want to look at in detail or you'll quickly be out of time and concentration for looking at all the things. Fun Fact: While the cars, planes and trains are running on an automated software and are just monitored by people, they still haven't found a way to fully automate the ships on the real water in scandinavia, so an employee sits in a corner and remote controls the ships all day. There's not a photo that captures the entire wonderland. That's not possible 'cause the Miniature Wonderland is to large. It's located in several rooms, on different levels, in two different buildings (of Hamburg's famous old warehouse district) which are connected by a bridge! By the way, the attraction 'The Hamburg Dungeons' are right next to the Wonderland. It shows the varied and dark history of Hamburg in an entertaining and creepy way. In this case: Thx for your Reaction to this wonderful Miniature Wonderland. ;)

This is one of the wonders of the world!! I was there allready 19 times, if you are in Hamburg you have to visit it! At the moment they are building Monaco and the houses and so on allready dune, but they don't wanna open it without having in Monaco a Formula 1 Race there, so they are working on it 8 years now and I think they are on a good way to open it, I think in 2 or 3 years. The people there are mad, but in a positiv way!
The Miniatur Wunderland is awesome. This January they are doing something they do every january, when you dont have the means to go there, you can still go and just say to the cashier that you dont have the money to pay and they will still let you in, you can even pass them a paper saying that in case you are too embarassed
@@davdav3945 i think its great. Intentionally losing revenue to make such a wonderful place accessible for the less fortunate people. Tho you have to expect some waiting times, since they allow a max number of people inside and obviously paying customers go first
Some years ago the Miniatur Wunderland produced a good video which explains the "Rettungsgasse" (rescue lane) rule on German highways. This video is available on TH-cam with subtitles available in several languages, of course including English. Maybe you would like to do a reaction video to it? This video is here: th-cam.com/video/1D4lsJnznqk/w-d-xo.html
hilft bei den deutschen ned viel, die sind für die rettungsgasse im allgemeinen zu blöd - wie man immer wieder sieht wenn wo ein unfall ist... kein durchkommen für einsatzfahrzeuge
It got so big over the years, that one day of visit isn't enough anymore. On my next trip back home to Hamburg i'm planning with at least two full days of going there. So much love to detail.
I was in Germany last summer and visited Miniatur Wunderland with my parents and it really is an amazing experience, the attention to detail is just crazy! It even spans several floors and sections and you can easily spend hours in there just marvelling at the fascinating minuature landscapes, cars boats, trains and planes that move around as if they were the real thing. They even have a locker there where you can charge your cellphone if the battery runs out, which I found to be a very cool feature. I definitely recommend paying Miniatur Wunderland a visit, it's definitely one of the coolest things that you'll remember for a long time! :)
Pipi Langstrumpf (Longstocking) is a beloved fictional character invented by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Pipi is the strongest girl/person ever and lifts her horse Little Uncle. She lives in a villa by herself with her horse and her monkey Mr Nilsson. Oh, she owns a suitcase full of gold…
This video is already old. But, it still is impressive. They leased other rooms across the canal, built a bridge with trains crossing from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere. Currently they are in the, more or less, final stages to create South-America. And: No, it can not be photographed in one picture...it is too large, covering several rooms over three floors of two warehouse buildings separated by a canal (called "Fleet" in Hamburg). You need at least two, three days to see and comprehend it all.
They also won a world record. During the Covid lockdown no visitors were allowed into any museum, so they built tracks for a train in the area where else the visitors walk. At the side of the tracks they put glasses filled with water which formed tunes when the train came by. They show pretty much of the different sections in miniature wonderland in this video: th-cam.com/video/aBNHmUT3GPg/w-d-xo.html
Miniaturwunderland is great. They even placed Details where visitors can not see. Thus you can see stuff that was not even planned to be seen in the behind the scenes tour.
If you want an overview of the whole thing I can recommend you the Miniatur Wunderland TH-cam channel. They got an 1 hour drive through basically the whole thing in 360° with a camera mounted on the train. I watched it more than once because you can easily spot new things when changing the perspective and looking around in the little world. Very entertaining and also quite relaxing.
You should probably look for a more modern video, they also expanded over one of the canals in Hamburg's old warehouse district (Speicherstadt) with a bridge recently to add Patagonia. Yes, South America. Made in South America by locals and then shipped to Hamburg. They are big and always expanding
One of my favorites. I work just around the corner and some years ago, we even had our company`s Christmas party in the premises. They opened for us after the public was gone and we had the whole area just for ourselves. It is amazing every time I visit.
You are such a nice guy. You can name all Vegas Hotels but you don’t know Pipi Longstocking. When your kid is a bit older you should definitely have a look at all Astrid Lindgrens books with him or her. ☺️
I'm not sure if they actually are subtitles available, but the other videos on that channel are super interesting. And one of their currently running projects is Monaco, including the formula one race. That will be so cool.
A few years ago, there was a coorparation between Google and Miniatur Wunderland. So parts of the Wunderland can be viewed on Google Street View. Just search for Wunderland street view.
These two brothers that made the MiwuLa become true used to be owners and DJs of a wellknown Diskotheke named "Voila" back in the 80ies and than decided to work on their dream...which finally started in 2001 orsome. Great guys.....
Hello and many greetings from Germany. I live in Hamburg and only 15 minutes away from Miniatur Wunderland and have been there about 10 times. It's really worth a visit because you always discover something new, even after so many visits. It's super impressive. Even America is represented there with Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and NASA. And the cruise ship that can be seen there really exists. This is the AIDAblu from the German shipping company AIDA Cruises. In addition, there are the largest miniature mountains in the world, the largest miniature airport in the world and much more. It's really super beautiful and I can really recommend it to anyone visiting Germany to go there. Many greetings from Germany.
This video is over ten years old... they are bigger and better nowadays... morger landscapes, more railways, more trains, more visitors... The Miniatur Wonerland ist over 20 years old now...
It's huge. They rented out floors in one of the buildings and when they went out of space they rented space in the building next to it and built a bridge between the buildings. So there's no way to fit everything in one picture.
Yay you reacted to it :3 Was there and loved it! Edit: The video is outdated, it's so much larger now, they expanded to the neighboring warehouse across the river via a bridge for more room to build. Oh and the trains drive over that bridge too ^^
The newest attraction, they are still working on currently I think, is being part of the miniature world by VR. They mapped all the scenery using multiple POV pictures and merge it with cameras fitted into the trains and ships etc. to have the current visitors on your VR screen while you're traveling within this tiny world. The Miniature Wonderland does actually have more visitors per year than New Swanstein.
6:00 That's Pippi Longstocking, a fable character from Astrid Lindgren's brilliant, creative mind. She has a pet monkey and horse and owns her own house she inherited from her seafaring pirate father and she is super strong!
During the lockdown they set a new world record for the longest piece of classical music played with trains and drinking glasses. It‘s really cool and you can sort of see the whole Miniaturwunderland in the video
Been there several times, you basically need a week to somehow capture it. Also, it's spread across multiple floors so you can't take a photo of everything at once
This is an older video. In the meantime they bought a new building on the other side and build a bridge (Where also trains ride from one to the other side). South america is now finished. They are working now on Patagonia. The formula 1 in Monaco will still need quite of time because of the programming difficulty. The "Miniatur Wunderland" has an own youtube channel with a lots of videos how théy build the airport or south america and how challenging the formula 1 is. With english subtitles of course.
Coming from Scandinavia we had a three day stay in Hamburg on our way traveling south Europe. Of course we visited the Miniatur Wunderland and I was immediately in awe. I guess, like me the Wunderland turned 11 back then. Ryan's reaction made me wonder, how they leveled up this project till today. I'm inspired traveling all the 7500 km back to Europe, just to see it. So, thanks for the inspiration.
I was there only once in 2012. And I didn’t see everything cause it was just too big to get it all in one day - even back then. I’m glad it survived the pandemic. It would’ve been a big loss for us all.
Oh, I was there in my last vacation. Not only the Miniature Wonderland, but there is a VR-Experience by YULLBE (from Germany's theme park Europa-Park).
6:00 The girl lifting the horse is called "Pipi Langstrumpf". It was a childrens show back in the late 70s and 80s based on the books of Astrid Lindgren.
Been there in 2014, we had to register for a scheduled entry as there's only a limited amount of visitors allowed in the MiWuLa at once (luckily there's a somewhat macabre museum about medieval/renaissance Hamburg right next to it so we could beat some time there and still had a ton of fun). The place is massive and filled to the brim with countless details, you can probably visit the place a dozen times and still not even scratch the surface. ^^
Hey i´m from Germany. i was in the Wonderland 4-5 Times and didn´t see any details. You need Multiple Day´s to see everything. It is so freacking awesome you need to visit it!!!
the most mindblowing thing about the miniatur Wunderladn is that they "recently" upgraded to have more space. And the upgrade was an acutal sky bridge between two buildings in Hamburg to connect the 2 venues
For real, I was there many times before and it is an absolute masterpiece. It literally deserves the name, I promise you. You also have to be very lucky when buying tickets, because they are very much in demand. I recommend everyone to visit the Miniatur Wunderland once in a lifetime, you won't regret it 1000%. There is so much to marvel at that I couldn't list it all.
The Wunderland was enlarged. A metal bridge is connecting the older part and the new one. I was there in February 2022. If you visit Hamburg a stop in Wunderland is obligatory. You can spend a whole day with your family there, if you want. Fast food meals are available at the snack bar. The design is unique there. You have the feeling of sitting in a train wagon. Don't forget to check in.
It's my absolute favorite tourist attraction in Hamburg. I have been there 4 times always for different hours and you see always new things you haven't discovered the last time.
I have been there every 3-4 years. It is so worth it!!! They have put so much effort in all the little details and it’s always funny to find new jokes in it! It is constantly growing and changing!
For me living in Hamburg, the MiWULA was one of the favourite Things to do. I Just recommend to buy a Ticket in Advance, the queues can be incredible long…
I'm living in Vienna (almost 1.000 km from Hamburg), but this or next year I' want to visit Hamburg for an extended weekend an my plan is to spend at least a full day at Miniatur Wunderland. There are many viedeos about it on youtube, giving some fascinating views of the diaramas. Just for info: Miniatur Wonderland was founded 2000 by twin brothers, still leading the company. Nowadays it's one of the most visited, if not THE most visited attraction of Hamburg (which has many great attractions). PS: I like your channel. I'ts one of only two channels I decided to subscribe. Carry on!
I visited the Miniaturwunderland a few times. It's really cool and interesting. However, there is a lot to see. It's kind of sad that you don't have the time to appreciate every little detail. But when you visit the next time, you can see new details! Also, there are some small events as well. They created an "active" volcano, which is really cool.
It is real.I've been there with my little sons in 2019.The complex was so big that we were there for 6 hours. We didn't see everything. In the meantime, the complex has been expanded over other buildings. We will definitely go there again.if you visit hamburg, you should take the time to visit this "wonderful world".Greetings from Berlin.
The Miniatur Wunderland is in my hometown and I've visited it at least 8 times already because they're always building new worlds and you will never get bored of pushing all the buttons. Last year I went and spent almost 7 hours in there!! Definitely recommend going.
I had the privilege to go "backstage", the 13km of tracks that can be seen are nothing compared to more than double that (I think) where trains are stored/maintained. I also got to see the Millennium Falcon take of to the Death Star (yes, there is a working screen for arrivals and departures for the airport, it said the Falcons destination was the Death star) and I saw it arriving again from backstage. My personal favourite for some reason is Michael-Angelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel using a trampoline (probably goes without saying that he actually jumped up and down
the Idea is from two Brothers named "Frederik and Gerrit Braun", The Story of Creating the Miniatur Wonderland is very Crazy ;) the two brothers used to run a nightclub with a friend. They also had a partner who (as far as I know is still with them). They wanted out of the nightlife and while on vacation in Switzerland, Fredderik Braun had the idea of building the largest miniature railway in the world. His twin brother Gerrit is the tinkerer and is more responsible for the technical part. I mean, there are now almost 300 people in Miniature Wonderland, busy with building, controlling and guiding through the miniature wonderland.
Those miniature cars follow magnetic induction coils beneath the surface and are driven by tiny Electric motors and batteries. When the charge is low, they automatically drive to a cableless recharging station….
love your reactions! I grew up and still live in Hamburg and I‘ve been to the Miniatur Wunderland a few times. There‘s something new to discover, it‘s quite fun but definitely exhausting 😅
i was there 2x and it was everytime amazing! you will find so many details just incredible. i love it and will go there everytime i visit this city. The girl who is pushing the horse is "Pippi Langstrumpf".
The best part about Miniatur Wunderland is the love in it! The people working there, don't just do their job, they love what they do and are very creative as you've seen. I saw a very nice Video series about it three years ago what was very inspiring. I was there in summer 2020, it was very nice! I also made the behind the scenes tour which was very funny and interesting! You can go inside the mountains and they show you good photo spots.
If you ever travel to Germany, please visit it... you will never forget it. Well, some stories are made, so adults see and understand them while a child just will brush over it... Fun for young and old. ☺️
You should totally come and check it out! You can easily spend a whole day spotting the tiny little Easter eggs and other details - even without kids. The video is quite old so there's even more stuff by now. They recently finished Rio and are currently building Patagonia
I've been there 4 or 5 times now. You will discover a new thing every time. All the little details and "eastereggs" everywhere. I also participated in a "behind the scenes" tour where I found even more hidden details you only get to see there. It is great! It is stunning. If you ever visit Hamburg - go there! It is also quite affordable in my eyes: 20€ / 20$ for a ticket with unlimited time to explore (until closing time).
Hi, Ryan, I like your videos, they always make me smile :) Pleace react next to this is germany. There are two versions one with the names of the shown places. Keep up the good work 😃
This place is absolutly insane and cool! I was there years ago and when they builded so much new stuff. I really wanna visit again and if you are an international tourist its one if the coolest things to see in germany. Its actually like a little wonder to see it in person and you wont forget it! Maybe go for another video. I recently saw a very long detailed vlog about it :) The Alps in this place should be the best thing they reach over 3 stories and I havent seen them in person yet.
This is a very old promo video. Nowadays Miniatur Wunderland is so much bigger: Italy with Rome, Venice and the Almafi Coast, Monaco with a Formula one race (still under development) and South America with a rain forest and Rio de Janeiro are all pieces of superb craftmanship and made with an unbelievable eye for detail.
For the driving cars: There is a copper cable in the street. The cars have a motor and a steering axle and follow the cable in the street with a magnet.
We have a much smaller version in my region in the town of Leer. Although my parents' house is only 15 km away, unfortunately I haven't been there yet. But I would like to visit Leer or Hamburg soon. It's at the top of my bucket list for the summer.

This January they are doing something they do every january, when you dont have the means to go there, you can still go and just say to the cashier that you dont have the money to pay and they will still let you in, you can even pass them a paper saying that in case you are too embarassed
That sounds really nice 👍🏽😊☮️
@@davdav3945 i think its great. Intentionally losing revenue to make such a wonderful place accessible for the less fortunate people.
Tho you have to expect some waiting times, since they allow a max number of people inside and obviously paying customers go first
Machen die das im ernst?
@@leoh3616 Ja, schon seit einigen Jahren.
@@ErhardBernstein Nicht schlecht!
Best part: there are also hidden jokes like the Milka Cow hidden within the realism
Ah yeah, wasn't her father a pirate ? Man that was maybe 50 years ago when i saw that 😄
@@beldin2987 Her dad was king over a tropical island and captured by pirates… but yes, it’s been a very long time for me too…
das war gute Unterhaltung Uwe danke ist ein guter Vorschlag gewesen.
the Miniatur Wunderland goes over multiple stories and also goes over the river into the next building.
its actually big, it spands over different floors and even into another building connected via a bridge
Amazing place to visit, I've been there once and I was speechless watching how much effort they spend on making it!
They show pretty much of the different sections in miniature wonderland in this video:
th-cam.com/video/aBNHmUT3GPg/w-d-xo.html
i was gonna recommend just that when he was wondering if there was a picture of the entire thing.
I‘m from Hamburg. I‘ve visit the „Miniatur Wunderland“ a lot. I definitely recommend to go there.
I was there a couple of times when I was younger... It's incredible.
So many little stories are hidden there. Love it.
they teamed up with google earth and made the entire thing walkable in google street view. I recommend checking it out!
You have seen so much and were so fascinated by many german sights, time has come you need to come over here and spend a loooong holiday in Germany!
Nothing to add
This video is over ten years old... they are bigger and better nowadays... morger landscapes, more railways, more trains, more visitors... The Miniatur Wonerland ist over 20 years old now...
6:05 it's taken from a kids story called :pipi langstrumpf written by astrid lindgren, very famous in europe
It's huge. They rented out floors in one of the buildings and when they went out of space they rented space in the building next to it and built a bridge between the buildings. So there's no way to fit everything in one picture.
Yay you reacted to it :3
Was there and loved it!
Edit:
The video is outdated, it's so much larger now, they expanded to the neighboring warehouse across the river via a bridge for more room to build.
Welcome to the world of subtle German humour... Miniatur Wunderland extends over 4 or 5 floors and several buildings. It is definitely worth seeing!
5:39 The one just saying „ab nach hause“ which is translated to something like „the way home“ LMAO 🤣
Fun fact: The miniature wonderland Schloss Neuschwanstein (the fancy castle noone can shut up about) is visited more often than the real one.
That video is 12 Years old, so much has become bigger since then :)
As a kid I was there for many times and it took me over 7 hours to see the hole wonderland! It is huge!
Even if you're older on your visit: *Everybody* turns 11 again when watching it. 😊
It's absolutely awesome! Words can't describe it!
I live in Hamburg and none of this video is fake, I've been there many times and it's always incredible to see such great work
I was there only once in 2012. And I didn’t see everything cause it was just too big to get it all in one day - even back then.
I’m glad it survived the pandemic. It would’ve been a big loss for us all.
actually it wasnt surprising that they survived the pandemic since they are taking in about 26 million Euros each year
Oh, I was there in my last vacation.
9:13 the reaction is just priceless. From "I'm having fun" to "wait is this..." to "I am appalled they included this" in less than 5 seconds
11:46 is Pipi Langstrumpf and her Schimmel (white horse), Pipi Langstrumpf is a children's series on TV by astrid lindgren
Greetings from Hamburg - yes we love our Wonderland
If u will see all Actions and Details, u need one week to look and see them. Its very beautyful.
9:35: the many small monitors have been replaced with a few rather large ones now.
I Just recommend to buy a Ticket in Advance, the queues can be incredible long…
Digga. Stop with the abbreviations we are not on Chefkoch here
@@dinmagol9874 what do you mean?
Exciting 😊 our son will go there with bis grandparents 😊
If you come to Germany one day, Hamburg is definitely worth a visit. 👍🏽😊☮️
It’s actually multiple rooms with different themes, so not just one big installation
Hamburg is anyway the most beautiful city in Germany. Its allways worth visiting ❤
Very nice but not THE most beautiful, just one of them
Hamburg, meine Perle! :)
It's not only the most visited place in Hamburg, it's the most visited in Germany. I've been there 7 times
Na your wrong, the most visited museum in Germany is not the Miniatur Wunderland, it's the "Deutsche Museum" in München
@@ACEsParkJunheeWreckedMeHard they are always changing with each other, sometimes the Deutsche Museum in P1 sometimes the miniature Wunderland
They made videos on the construction of it. Dont know if they are available in english, but if they are, i would recommend them
The Miniatur Wunderland is in my hometown and I've visited it at least 8 times already because they're always building new worlds and you will never get bored of pushing all the buttons.
My personal favourite for some reason is Michael-Angelo painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel using a trampoline (probably goes without saying that he actually jumped up and down
its 15 kilometers overall track...
Oh yes - we do Tractor Pulls for over 40 years!
And they expanded to a building on the oposite side of the river flowing by behind the building through a bridge
the Idea is from two Brothers named "Frederik and Gerrit Braun", The Story of Creating the Miniatur Wonderland is very Crazy ;) the two brothers used to run a nightclub with a friend.
We went there two times and it is mind bending. This project spans over four warehouses and features parts of every continent. Truely amazing!
the vehicles driving with magnet strips underneath. It's their own homebrew system
Those miniature cars follow magnetic induction coils beneath the surface and are driven by tiny Electric motors and batteries. When the charge is low, they automatically drive to a cableless recharging station….
I've been there several times and the miniature Wunderland is expending continuously. It is so fascinating
The only place in which trains travel on time in germany
love your reactions!
Poor boy. A childhood without Astrid Lindgren figures.
I've went there about 20 years ago! It was impressive then, and it seems they have added a ton of new stuff since!
Hi, Ryan,
I like your videos, they always make me smile :)
Pleace react next to this is germany.
The girl picking up the horse is called Pippi Langstrumpf. For many of us she was simply part of our childhood
For the driving cars:
There is a copper cable in the street.
Hallo ich wollte mal sagen das ich die Videos als deutscher echt cool finde und es finde es immer sehr schön zu sehen wenn Amerikaner auf Videos von Deutschland reagieren
