A little while ago I learned a new word:
âFloccinaucinihilipilification.â
Itâs basically, the act or habit of estimating something as worthless.
Iâve noticed a lot of intermediate guitar players often view simple blues progressions as being this.
They scoff, âah huh huh, 3 chords?...simple shuffle?âĶâ
Then dismiss it.
Well, donât fall for this floccinaucinihilipilification trap.
Mastering the blues is essential to becoming a REAL player.
Iâve learned this from being around legends like Kenny Burrell and some of the greatest LA studio guitar players.
Thatâs why I donât stop practicing simple blues progressions

Wouldn't the A string be best served with an up-pick? (rather than all downs)? I'm practicing various ways to play your lesson and that and hybrid options started to creep into my mind while trying to learn this - *Great Lesson and I'm looking forward to being able to play even a fraction as nicely as you've done*
At 2:11, could that d note be pulled up & then back a little? wouldn't that sound bitchin' cool? why does that appeal to me? I'm sure there's some theory why.
