Zeke's entire baseball career was leading up to a single moment... Catching eren's head.

Eren said “wait“ before Zeke was about to scream. That shows that Eren still cares.

I realised this after the fact, but Porco must have understood from Marcel's memory that Reiner wasn't ultimately to blame for his actions following Marcel's death. He saw that he had taken the Jaw to protect him in the first place. Considering Porco was so scornful of how Reiner imitated Marcel following his death, he must've realised that Marcel did the exact same thing and took all of the weight onto his own shoulders, eventually resulting in Reiner doing the same. I think the reason Galliard was willing to be killed there in Reiner's place was to return the favour for those who had suffered to protect him without his knowledge.

The fact that they used Grisha's basement key as part of a transition shot during that sequence when Zeke catches Eren's head and he starts seeing all these memories is ACTUALLY INSANE. I looked up the manga panel and I don't think that was in there, Studio Mappa truly cares about this story. There's something absolutely chilling in seeing Grisha scream as his basement key wipes the scene away with its metallic ringing sound to usher in a new memory.

i actually felt so horrible for zeke. not that i believed in his plan, but in how you can tell that his emotional connection to eren was not reciprocated at all.

Whether or not Gabi breaks the cycle of hatred, she still had to try to stop Eren. It's not about hatred, she's literally trying to save the world.

A Goodwin TV, a fun fact: When this chapter released in the manga, it ended right when Gabi blew Eren’s head killing him instantly. We had to wait a whole month to know if he actually died or not. That was the natiest cliffhanger we have ever experienced. Imagine that. You are lucky. "Two Brothers." The episode about not only about Eren and Zeke, but also with Colt and Falco, and Marcel and Porco. Isayama is a genius.

Also I honestly got like a almost sick feeling when Zeke screamed, like it was an incredible scene but it was really emotionally intense.

It’s implied that when Eren didn’t catch the ball that Zeke started to have small suspicions that Eren wasn’t fully on board with the plan.

Even before Eren "dropped the ball" there was a huge clue about him not agreeing which Zeke, which was the fact that he tried to stop Zeke from screaming (and you can even see that Zeke was shocked by it).

"... recently in the show, he's really lost his head" I mean I guess you could put it that way lmao

Omg you killed the jokes this episode! The Erin lost his head line made me laugh for a solid minute!

These really are the most mature and thought out Aot reactions on youtube. So many people are just blindly team Eren because he's the protagonist and seem to miss the whole point of the show or they'll love it for completely the wrong reason. I think you just understand what the story is trying to communicate so well.

This episode is another example of definitive AoT. Fluidity of storytelling, immense character drama, and unrelenting surprises that make you need more. I’m so glad that not only we’ve gotten four seasons of those sensations, but that you’ve so carefully dissected it all on your first watch. I wish I had this clear of a mindset on mine. Kudos to you!

Man, Eren really got ahead of himself for a second there; though I will give him credit, he did die as he lived: being a pain in the neck. And that ending, wow! Eren was almost speechless, though I guess words weren't exactly the first thing that got caught in his throat during this episode.

man it sucks colt had to die, cause he could’ve just easily ran away but it is nice that he wanted to comfort falco, also i love how we got to see goth mikasa and nerd armin from the highschool AU and that one sauna cover in the flashback sequence when eren entered paths

I don't even have anything clever to say about this episode other than Gabi is 4 for 4 now and she is simply that guy, but this episode was just so INCREDIBLE. The music, the visuals, the dialogues and of course the story telling of Isayama, especially this whole sequence of scenes and THE PATHS is amazing. The next few episodes will blow away every anime only persons head, just like Eren :)
