Hey you play very well and that is an excellent music keyboard. This is the predecessor of the Yamah PSR 2100 I’ve probably owned a good few years ago and again, a great addition to the Yamaha series.
I would be SO happy if one of these came up on my local classifieds. This would be a more than competent gigging board, and a nice companion for songwriting.
There's a PSR-640 on gumtree. looks like it's from 1999 and shares the basic sounds and backing styles with the PSR-8000. i'm gonna do a bit more research on it but it looks like a good replacement.
Plugged my 463 into a Boss VE 500 voice and guitar effects box , played it through a mixer and 2000 watt amp The sound blew me away ,im still experimenting with it
That's why I'm still using an original Yamaha Motif 6 that's closing on 20 years old! With a PSR, though, you get very little extra things, like aftertouch, custom audio ports that are balanced, or touch strip that is showing up on more newer keyboards, even though that tech pushing 40 years old. But, as far as general home use, this PSR has everything most people will need.
You Know Whats Funny. I Was Gonna comment on one of your previous videos and was gonna ask if you could review the PSR-2000 and it's like you read my mind haha. we have this model and it's one of the most legendary keyboards by Yamaha in my opinion. It has real amazing sounds built into it. Im not letting go of this Keyboard for as long as i live haha!!!
Weird co-incidence there! Yeah I was tempted to keep it too, it's truly impressive. It's very rare for anything to stay long in the Gearfacts studio though. The Roland PMA-5 has been the longest resident, followed by the Korg Triton LE88. As you may have seen, I recently got my old Yamaha PSS480 back - never letting go of that one again! :) #Gearfacts
I thnk it's perhaps a misleading answer to say the S670 can play samples, both keyboards use AWM voices which are ROM based samples, the S670 only has approximately 32MB internal memory so there's a little bit of room for one or two expansion voices - If you want more expansion options, some S.Art! voices then I would look at something like the S970/S975 and also the SX900 series where you get 512MB/764MB and 1024MB of expansion memory - It all depends what you want from a keyboard rather than the question of which is better - when you know what you want to do then you'll know which keyboard to look at .
Oh totally, this is the best set of standard sounds I think I've ever heard. There are no crazy synth noises or anything, but for those who want general sounds for a band, this is hard to beat :) #Gearfacts
It’s really fun to hear the keyboard I’ve had for years being classified as “legendary” 😃
haha, everything that ends in "2000" is legendary!
We had this in the house as kids!!
What a machine! I'm not a Yamaha fan but gosh I fell in love instantly. It's like a psr s670 old big brother. Nice review indeed. Thanks!
I'm glad you liked the video Carlos :) #Gearfacts
I've heard this one is legendary
Yep, from the vibe it's giving me, I think it's headed for legendary status :) #Gearfacts
It still is a masterpiece I enjoyed it
Yamaha really started to get things right with the PSR 1000/1500/2000 & 3000 by adding decent sound creating for the 1st time in the PSR range
Did they ever. This one sounds so real :) #Gearfacts

Thanks for the compliment :)

Totally agree with all three comments there :) #Gearfacts

Indeed :) #Gearfacts
Tengo uno también un psr 740

Awesome setup :) #Gearfacts
ive got a yamaha psr 47 how about that is soo old proably mid 80s lol i use to own one of these about 20 years ago wish i kept it🤔🤔
Excellent video.
I know I sound like a broken record when I say,
YAMAHA makes the best keyboards.
Been using YAMAHA synths since 1984.
haha well, when you play something like this it's hard to argue :) #Gearfacts
This one sounds OK without a pignose! Minnie Riperton at 1:00.
Yeah who'd have thought it'd be possible, sans pignose!
Why get new gear when you have keyboards like this

Yep, going to be hard to let go of this one.
@@delscoville I gig with a psr 1500 regularly for 13 years, aftertouch isn't really all that big of a deal on an unweighted board
@@jaquesteddyruxpin932 I love the aftertouch on my late-1980s Yamaha DX7-2D.
Because it only has 61 keys. What you want is the DGX-670.

I’m interested
Still worthwhile if it's going cheap.
How start the Floppy?
Can you please guide me how to get this PSR 2000. Appreciate for your feedback.
Where could I get one of these? I might consider one for my next keyboard
Your best chance would be Ebay.
is this much different from the 1000
I have PSR-A1000 which looks 80% exactly like this with oriental sounds. But it doesn’t have that much complex sounds…
10:10 yo no encuentro Este sonido en mi piano
Salió el año 2000
Sounds about right 👍
Hi gearfacts!
Which one is better..
Psr s670 or Psr2000
Thanks in advance
I think I'd choose the PSR-670 personally, as it's lighter and can play samples (it's not a sampler, but it can play samples) #Gearfacts
@@gearfacts thanks gearfacts!

I want for psr2000.. where it's available??
I think the only likely place is facebook marketplace or ebay.
@@gearfacts HI I HAVE IT STILL IN GOOD CONDITION 5000
I want one, where can I get it
Second hand is the only way now. You'll have to search second hand markets online.
Necesito un técnico para mí teclado psr 2000
Necesito comentario en español
New keyboards keep coming out that boast new sound chips Casio etc ,but to my ears keyboards like this one can still rival them.
