For a lot of reasons, especially in present day and historically imbalanced power situations like day to day (or tv) male-female public interaction, the reaction of the person not behind a desk could be different. I urge other men to learn and listen to women-- I think the metoo movement has been a good catylist for this, but it's clearly not enough. For instance, it would be impractical to ask commenters on youtube videos to elaborate on why something was uncomfortable, but men should be able to listen to that "im uncomfortable" thing, and evaluate the situation, apologize, and correct for the future. You can do this with other men also-- like pointing out to yourself what was bad/wierd about kimmells comments on her pregnancy.

Skincare products don't get absorbed into your bloodstream, they are topical. The interview was off because she didn't really seem prepared for the interview. It's clear she came on to talk about her skincare line, since he was plugging it every chance he got, but she didn't really have anything meaningful to say about it.
Some substances can sometimes be absorbed through human skin, yes. But skin is not semipermeable, it has a low permeability. A skincare product is not a drug and shouldn't be able to penetrate into your bloodstream. Not all skincare products will even penetrate all three layers of skin either. There's a reason you have to drink beer in order to get drunk and why you don't rub food on your skin to absorb nutrients.

I felt the parts when he was commenting on her body and pregnancy were weird (from another man's perspective). For a lot of reasons, especially in present day and historically imbalanced power situations like day to day (or tv) male-female public interaction, the reaction of the person not behind a desk could be different. I urge other men to learn and listen to women-- I think the metoo movement has been a good catylist for this, but it's clearly not enough. For instance, it would be impractical to ask commenters on youtube videos to elaborate on why something was uncomfortable, but men should be able to listen to that "im uncomfortable" thing, and evaluate the situation, apologize, and correct for the future. You can do this with other men also-- like pointing out to yourself what was bad/wierd about kimmells comments on her pregnancy.
The only problem is with the "you can rub it on my belly". Kinda of harassy at first but when if a woman ask man the same question nobody would have a problem. So it's just too PC. Pregnancy questions are usually cleared before hand, Kerr should not have problems because Kimmel is helping her push her products.

The interview was off because she didn't really seem prepared for the interview. It's clear she came on to talk about her skincare line, since he was plugging it every chance he got, but she didn't really have anything meaningful to say about it.

Some substances can sometimes be absorbed through human skin, yes. But skin is not semipermeable, it has a low permeability. A skincare product is not a drug and shouldn't be able to penetrate into your bloodstream. Not all skincare products will even penetrate all three layers of skin either. There's a reason you have to drink beer in order to get drunk and why you don't rub food on your skin to absorb nutrients.
aprilheksen FYI skin care products are drugs...they pass through FDA. Although I agree that not every drug would pass through....the ones that pass the subcutaneous layer eventually end up in your blood stream.....so technically she could be right
