    Jesus this was way more intense than I expected, I love the rawness of the harsher sounds this is amazing... I'm used to more sweet and sort of levelled chip-tune music as a listener, so hearing this is also possible. That's insane!

      Also very glad I found this. I'm rather new to this kind of music. Got introduced to it through a surprise act at a festival. The artist is called "Arottenbit" and also leans on the heavy and raw side so maybe you would enjoy that as well. th-cam.com/video/pkn7xoHa_ys/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TomRoy
      But anyway, I like this a lot. Looking forward to exploring the world of chiptune more :-)

    Awe inspiring.
    A lot of chip lately has been more about how to achieve crazy sounds than writing good songs and this really shows how important it is to just have fun, put your heart into it, be sincere and not get sidetracked by technicalities. The set is really well constructed as well, and the way you use effects is creative and really serves the purpose of the performance. Hats off!

      THIS THIS THIS.
      Paul, thanks for pointing this out.
      God save the chip TUNES which we can headbang to, get high with, make love to, whistle in the shower and sing at the top our lungs at gigs, until our voices get rough.

    most freaking awesome thing I've heard on gameboys so far. love your dynamic composition style. too many gameboy musicians stagnate in a boring beat that just smashes away until your ears bleed. @LaserDogGames was wondering though, what is the role of the op1 exactly in this setting? Is it "just" an FX unit?

    • @LaserDogGames
      @LaserDogGames  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, you could if you *really* wanted to :D
      You could sync your DAW to the GB using a arduinoboy (or similar) and then sync the op1 to the DAW.

    • @MrJok3rz
      @MrJok3rz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lol wow i know this is old, and you may not even see this, but its a program called LSDJ that runs on the gameboy, you can connect 2 game boys with the 2player gameboy link cable. , and both programs now run in sync, Using the sound chips from both to output sound to the mixer board.

    Ooh them game boys have backlights how did u do that?

    • @nifela
      @nifela 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can find game boy backlights and other components in various modding shops. They usually require a bit of soldering and care during installation, but most modern back lights are easy and nondestructive to install. You do have to remove the polarisation filter on the back though, which can be a bit tricky.
      A back light can also be combined with a "bivert" mod, which greatly increases the contrast. Again, some soldering skills are required.
      Some shops also offer services to install these, but all the shops I've found so far have shown absolutely amateurish and horrid soldering/modding work.
