That's common. All you need to do is apply the S_Glow effect, turn the brightness down and you are good to go
You may or many not see this as I know it’s a popular video. Are the effects already on Sony Vegas or have you got to download them externally ?

I found a solution, just put the effect “s_invert”. That’s the only solution I’ve came across. Hope this fixes your problem
