    I wanted to add one more thing. As a victim of SA who kept it a secret for 10 YEARS, it pisses me off that this random guy thinks he knows for a fact all victims run around telling everyone. And her secretly recording establishes the fact she doesn't trust these people so why TF would she confide in them about their prized pig SAing her? They would clearly tell her take some pills and shut up. She went home and talked to her own doctors etc instead.

      I am amazed at the number of people who claim that everyone reacts to violence and trauma in the same way.
      I am also disappointed that so many people actually believe they know exactly how they would act on the stand if they were being dragged every day all across the internet by people dissecting their every move, while they worshipped their ex-husband.
      So many people seem so certain that their body language and facial expressions would be impeccable 🙄

      @@benevolentconcepts there is nothing more stressful than testifying on the stand, there is nothing more stressful than disclosing rape, add them together and add cameras. My mind just explodes with sympathy for her, how did she do it? How anyone can have an idea of what rape testimony would be like under those conditions is beyond me. We have no standards to compare it to, as this is the first time it’s happened. I hope it’s the last.

      It’s so great that she worked out that these people were not trustworthy, There is no way she would have told them about the SA, they would have just drugged her to oblivion. I wonder if she fully understands herself that they were part of his abuse on her. Her email draft is also so revealing about how aware she was of Johnny’s enablers.
      I do wonder also whether she ever actually confronted Johnny about it, in one recording she didn’t mention it but that he threw her and hit her, which he denies. I think Jonny remembers a lot but possibly not the r*pe at all.

    I almost can't believe what I'm hearing in that recording; it's like audio of someone being managed while being trafficked. No autonomy left, no informed consent, no care for her at all; they were dealing with her as if she were a rag doll. They knew what Depp was like and showed no concern for what must've happened in that house. The doctor saw the state of the place, the injuries, and was more concerned with her calling him a fat old man and passing that around. Unbelievable. And this is what Depp's stans say incriminates her?

    • @topsyturvygirl
      @topsyturvygirl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow I never thought of it like that but now you say it, it really does sound like she is being managed like a victim of human trafficking. It’s seems that his whole entourage were part of her coercive control. My next question is whether they knew or suspected she had been raped.

    • @benevolentconcepts
      @benevolentconcepts 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I mean, even just the initial words spoken by Johnny. So many Depp stans seem convinced that he only used his words as ‘reactive violence’ when she deserved it. They are also so certain that abusers always blame their victims for their own behavior, but when Johnny says something like this (“If you knew what you are….. make me feel sick of myself ….” Etc) they brush it off.

      I listened to the long marriage saving discussion between Amber and Johnny. One thing that really popped out that everyone misses is that at one point Johnny suggests Amber doesn’t have good memory on calming drugs. She counters that the drugs just slow her heart but don’t affect her thoughts/feelings/memory. I think this was a really subtle example of his gaslighting, trying to make her doubt her own recollections so he could get away with what he does. And that he wants her Medicated so she doubts her own memory.

I've never heard men talk like that to each other, with that level of adulation, a** kissing. "I would do anything for you; I would die for you" etc. Like the enforcers of a cult leader. A huge relief to see two intelligent woman discuss this case with some basic common sense. Depressing it has less than 2,000 views. If this was pro-Depp it would have hundreds of thousands. But actually analyzing the evidence in a grounded, unsensationalized, rational way doesn’t get views.

    • @JM-yx4ew
      @JM-yx4ew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh wow, this guy’s video: “I’m going to play audio, but first I’m going to frame it in a way that completely biases you to listen to it in a way that is more favorable to Depp, and tell you exactly what to pay attention to and what to conveniently ignore because it doesn’t match my narrative. I’m also going to add captions to things that nobody can decipher at all, or that can be proven as false entirely.”

    • @JM-yx4ew
      @JM-yx4ew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Around minute 42/43: That’s exactly what I was saying in regards to her supposedly apologizing for cutting his finger off. As someone who has argued with a partner who then hurt himself, I felt guilty that he got hurt during our fight, and I blamed myself even though he was the one that chosen to injure himself. When you’re subject to such irrational circumstances you start to think irrationally. You blame yourself for your partner’s reactions even though you had zero intention for anyone to get hurt, nor did you cause the injury. It was pretty clear to me what she was apologizing for, but I don’t think the average person listening to this audio knows what it’s like to live with someone who self harms in a way to “win” arguments.

    • @JM-yx4ew

      I was prescribed seroquel for sleep for a while. The jump from 25 to 100 is INSANE! No responsible dr would suggest jumping that high in medication. 25 to 50 isn’t that crazy as my dr tended to go up in 25MG intervals over time, but to 100mg? Yoooooooo!!!!
      Note this is the dr who kept Ozzy Osbourne drugged out for his mind during the filming of their tv show.

    • @JM-yx4ew
      @JM-yx4ew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also note that seroquel REALLY messed me up. I actually had to stop taking it because I was getting super aggro. Like the littlest things would piss me off way more than they should. When I did more research into it lots of people reported similar reactions to the medicine and other drs have confirmed to hearing that report. I thought it was such a small dose it couldn’t hurt, but the shift in my mood was very noticeable once I stopped taking it.
      Recently I had to take it again because my drs weren’t prescribing me my new sleep med and I was desperate to get to sleep. I had some left over so I was taking it in the meantime. Guess what? Started getting aggro again after a few weeks!
      I say this because, if Amber started fighting back around the time she was being recklessly prescribed seroquel, I could see that increasing her aggressiveness in response to his abuse even more. If that’s the case and people are holding it against her it just shows even more ableism in the case.

She didn’t drink it. He mentions $75,000 worth of damage and an ‘impossible situation,’ meaning it’s hard to decipher who was at fault. Why did she do an interview with Guthrie? 🤦🏽‍♀️ Honestly…. ?
    I have defended Amber across the internet over the ‘pledge’/‘donation’ thing. I found several well written websites that explain how large donations are often pledged in installments over time so an organization can have consistent support, rather than money burning a hole in their pocket. It makes sense to me that someone making a huge donation ($3.5 MIL is huge to mostly anyone but Johnny) would pledge their support over time and be an ongoing patron. What I don’t understand is why Amber (and her legal team) can’t make a simple, cogent argument about it. It should be simple for her to say “It’s a common practice to pledge a donation over time in order to establish an ongoing relationship of support,” or something like that. Why doesn’t she? I’m so disappointed about it. In a way, it’s almost as if Amber just looks like a liar, even when she isn’t actually lying. She’s not (really) lying about this. She isn’t a rocket scientist, or a scholar of the English language; she’s allowed to have a common tongue, ‘vernacular’ vocabulary that is imprecise sometimes. A ‘pledge’ is a type of ‘donation’ to be paid over time; she can technically use those words synonymously without being a liar. But because she isn’t able to actually defend herself, the internet is calling her a liar again over this particular point. It’s so easy for everyone to jump on her as a ‘gold-digger’ over this point. I just want to shake people and say “See? She’s not the cunning, calculating, scheming criminal mastermind you accuse her of being. She’s a Hollywood actress with average intelligence, who can’t even defend herself against easily refuted fake news.” 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️😞

      Yes her interview stressed me out. I do believe her but I was thinking... did no one coach her or help her through this? Why is she even doing this interview? I don't think she's particularly well spoken (but who would be in such stressful situations). Now "body language" and self proclaimed "empaths" are flocking to that video picking apart her every move. Which they would probably do anyway.
      (Not that Johnny Depp doesn't also sound kind of clueless every single time he talks (and honestly kind of stupid), but he isn't held to any standard and he hardly has to defend himself because his psycho fans will adore him no matter what.)

      I agree, someone needs to advocate for her concerning this. I don’t even think Amber properly understands why the donations have to be made over time. She did testify on the stand that she did it for tax benefits for the charities and because she was getting the money in instalments to. That might be her understanding. Guthrie kept cutting her off before she could properly explain herself. This has been the tactic of all of Depps team and supporters. They don’t let her explain herself, they don’t let her speak. If she’s starting to make any sense then it’s objection or cutting her off. If she does gets logical word in it’s often edited out. I’m frustrated too, she needs to have an interview with Someone who will let her speak and ask the right questions so she can really explain herself. But then maybe no one would watch it and say that the reporter was bias. 😞 she is just one woman verses the world.

      I think she is intelligent, if you listen to her whilst believing her testimony then she does understand a lot, at least about people, power and society. I don’t think she’s very good with precise details such as remembering her own timeline exactly and she lacks knowledge of fiscal and legal matters which is why she gets repeatedly tripped up so much and people don’t believe her. like you say she uses a vernacular, which is quite usual for people to have a way of saying things. It would be hard for her to change that in such a short space of time. If she was coached I think that would be obvious and people would say she was reading a script. And because she is always cut off before she can speak, people are just being manipulated by her interviewers. But it’s the interviewers that need to be called up for not providing her with the opportunity to speak.

      Yes, that was awful to watch and definitely edited to support the popular narrative. She's actually holding together quite well considering the hostility she's experiencing from every angle. I can't even imagine being in that position and not becoming misanthropic as hell.

      Aaaaaaand …. the juror says the fact that she still hadn’t donated was a ‘fiasco’ for her 🤦🏽‍♀️
      I’m telling you - if this point could be clearly made, if would deflate so much of the ammunition against her.
      They didn’t believe her tears …. Johnny was more emotionally stable and believable.
      Well … It’s easy to be emotionally stable when you have hoards of fans lined up.
      They say they examined the drugs he was taking and they were mostly downers.
      Except there are so many texts of Johnny asking for coke.
      Ecstasy alone doesn’t make someone violent …. duh.
      Neither does marijuana
      Coke + Ecstasy + Marijuana + Alcohol = Bad News
      I mean 😒

      @@BelleAntoinette I think 56:37 implies she's going to give 25 seroquel and 300 something else.
      In the Bahamas she gives 50 seroquel and 300 Neurotonin for epilepsia. Closing submission page 49.
      Neurotonin is well known for making 10%+ of the people who take it sleepy. I don't want to true crime too much into this tho, this could be legit.
      The BrianFella videos are foundational to the hatemovement, it was great to have people go through them and critiquing them step by step, that's really important atm.
