    I recently purchased this weapon (traded a Glock 19 for it) and I absolutely love everything about it. Very first shot downrange from 7 yards dead center, and a 3 inch group of 16 rounds.

      You made a wise upgrade. You won't find the same aftermarket, but that's because it doesn't need it like a Glock does.

    A lot of U.S. manufactured firearms do not shoot lacquered steel cases well.
    That's fine by me, plenty of brass ammo available. Good video. 👍

    I'd rather have one of these than the Glock 48X or the Sig 365XL. I'm glad Mrs. Bates is on these videos. That will encourage women and I like a different perspective.

    Looks good in the hand, not as angular as a Glock and has a rounded trigger guard. I may have to try one of these. I would rather have a full sized gun, though, as a Glock 19 is almost too small for my hands to hold without slide bite. Thanks for the intro, Graham. You and Teya stay healthy and safe out there in the Pacific Northwest.

    I shot one of the Mossbergs at a local range that rents guns. I don't remember if it was the one or two. I thought it felt good for a small gun and shot nice but I absolutely hated the big mag release button. I have pretty large hands and my thumb constantly would press it just hard enough the mag would come loose, preventing it from firing. I had to consciously adjust my grip to prevent that.

    i am very impressed with the performance of my (Gen 1) MC2C. Installed the M*CARBO reduced power spring kit. No issues.
    Night Sights: Mossberg's customer service says these guns use Sig Sauer sights (Truglo) in the "8/8" height (standard for 9/40/357). XS Sights and Night Fision both make sight sets specifically for these pistols. The dovetails are uni-directional according to Mossberg.

    I just got one. They did a design update and installed a crossbar safety just behind the trigger. There is a noticeable hitch halfway through the trigger pull but it isnt as off putting as the taurus g2c. Maybe there will be a trigger fix in later models or an aftermarket drop in.

    Question, I am NOT trying to argue but actually curious on your input. Do you believe that 3 rounds is enough to test a certain type of ammo in a gun? I ask because I hear people say to run 100, 200, 500 etc. rounds in your pistol before carrying that certain round. When choosing a new carry round I have honestly tried to run around 100 rounds of it before carrying because of hearing this. If that is not necessary I could definitely save some money Lol. Thanks in advance.

    • @protectiverailroaddad7541
      @protectiverailroaddad7541 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      tjames8six the more you can afford to shoot the more assurance you’ll have it won’t choke on that self defense ammo, that’s pretty obvious. However, the general rule of thumb is buy at least 2 boxes with the same lot number and if you can shoot 1 box (50 rounds) without malfunctions then you should be good to go. I’ve never heard anyone say you need to shoot 500 rounds of a certain carry ammunition to be sure it shoots it reliably. 500 rounds is considered a break-in period for some guns. It would cost a fortune for me to shoot 500 rounds of federal hst 45+p lol

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course the more rounds you test the more sure you can be of both the ammunition and the handgun, and more importantly the combination. We stick to 3 to save time and money. If all 3 work it's worth giving more a try, if not then avoid it (like the Hornady Steel Match with this gun). I hope this helps.

    Never buy a Mossberg pistol. They are not in the pistol business nor ever going to be like Glock. You can't get a parts list from them easily nor are there many after market parts. Regardless, the experience I had with Mossberg support was nazi in nature. They are also not suppporting the first gun they have produced in 100 years and based on my experience with 50 other guns and several other brands, I would never buy another Mossberg. While the MC1sc and MC2sc have nice form factors, I cannot support a mfg that treated me or anyone else the way I was treated in my interaction with them and the fact that they would not provide me with parts list or parts pricing or parts anything info.
