I found that if the pc name and windows user name are the same, this issue occurs. Change either name (pc name change is easier) and restart before installation again.

In case it's not then change the location of the oracle database directory that you have downloaded and try executing the setup again.
While installing oracle 19c then i had selected virtual user, and no other username field was there while installing. So while connecting to db which username to user as while connecting it is asking for username, password, db name , sid all things I have except username as no usename was entered anywhere in intallation process then which usernmae to use to connect.

Then, after opening sql plus inadministrator mode and also in normal mode, I entered my username and password and it says wrong "ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied" and also in the localhost address, it says invalid container name.. Make sure there are no spaces in any of the folder names leading to the setup.exe I had a folder called 'oracle db' and had a similar problem, however once I changed that folder to 'oracledb' it has worked fine Hope this helps :D

There could be multiple reasons for that - Just make sure • Minimum hardware requirements are fulfilled. • You are installing Oracle DB using the Administrative Windows user • Your firewall/antivirus is disabled (sometimes they cause problem) Still to pinpoint the exact one I suggest you to check out the logs and see what exactly has happened.

hey bhoomika, i found the solution for this. move the db_home folder to your C: under any folder and then start the setup.exe

Jai, oracle sql developer will need to be installed separately on 18 and 19c. It used to come pre-installed on 12.2c.

after 52% installation it stop at there...whole night i continued the process but it will not go 52% to 53% any suggestions ...?
