FILM DESCRIPTION:
The Enterprise and its crew follow a Borg ship through a time warp to prevent the Borg from taking over the Earth in a past era. Stuck in the past, Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) helps a pioneer of space travel (James Cromwell) in his efforts to create the first warp drive while Capt. Picard (Patrick Stewart) and Cmdr. Data (Brent Spiner) battle the Borg Queen (Alice Krige) as she tries to take over the Enterprise.

I think scene, iconic as it is, symbolizes the quintessential essence of Gene Roddenberrys vision for Star Trek.
Paraphrasing another movie, "The Abyss", its past that time that the people living on Earth grow up and put away childish things.

Such a great way to end the movie and show humanity’s promise as it entered a new phase of civilization. Makes me wish we got to see more of Enterprise as it would delve into this era and explores those themes, and the show had one of the most memorable opening sequences involving this scene. 😊🖖

Really? I think it holds up really well. The space shots of the Enterprise E are all fantastic and The Borg still look menacing. Easily the best Star Trek movie and just a good movie all around.

Well, perhaps you're simply watching it in retrospect, and comparing it to more modern movies with today's CGI. At least, though, it's not like certain movies out there that sucked on Day 1 and still suck nowadays.
