🔥👌 clean slamry m8
Nooo wayy! I watch you guys ! Thanks for commenting on my vid haha, keep up the great work ✌️
to lower the front yougotta compress the springs so you can adjust the locking nuts to lower the whole thing
"Slamry" number plates need to happen 😉
If the plates weren't worth more than the car it'd probably happen 😂
If it's clunking while turning, it could indeed be spring bind as you stated. You can buy some spring perches with a radial bearing. As far as the front ride height, you can try buying shorter springs.
That's a good idea, unfortunately found with the coils all the way we rub pretty bad so gotta get spacers for the front too 🥵
I have had the same coilovers on a 2000 Camry for about 7 to 8 months. I sprayed the hell out of them with CLP (gun lubricant) and havent had any knocking since then. Hope that helps
does the front & rear lower or does only the rear lower as in this video ? I have the same car
I put these on my 1990 Civic EF and they were actually really good quality for $280 USD shipped. And the clunk is from not preloading the coilover before you tightened the down. I didn't have any sound from mine.
Bro, swap out your front spring for a 6-7" tall spring, 8k perhaps if you feel 10k is too stiff. Did this for my ES300, and absolutely loved it. Eventually you'll find the rear coils won't go as low as the front, but there solutions out there. I ended up going for the Godspeed Mono SS for the rear in order to get an even drop.
I’m thinking about buying these for my es300, I’m not sure where to look for shorter springs in the front to make it even though
Had a set of these installed on my camry, definitely made it siffer and lower, handled well, but made the worst clunking sounds when turning and eventually ended up taking them out :( and about 3 of the top nuts were seized when removing them too. Ah well, hope you enjoy these and not have such bad luck like me
Version 2 camry xv20 coil overs have been improved
I got sent 2" shorter coils for front ok
So can get front lower now on camry
St
How do you know which version to buy?
I have the same ones on my 2007 scion tc and you have to take them apart and use litheum grease on the spring at both ends and the little washers that rub together
I've thought about coil overs. I bought Suncore struts and shocks for my Camry only to have a mechanic to break my rear passenger shock. Suncore will only sale them in pairs. What the mechanic did was use a hammer on the rear shocks. I was told he didn't have to do that. Anyways I'm driving around with a broken shock. And it's noisy too. Like what you've done to your Camry. So cool.
This clunking noise is the spring! I had the same problem with mine on my 328i. I'm sure you can get the front to get lower like low low
Yesss another Camry video
When you had everything laid out on floor I didn’t see new sway bar links for the front. When I did the coil overs on my MR2 they came with the set. Your sway bar could be hitting and binding.
Get swift springs for front that's what everyone does! Also my coils stopped knocking after 3 months!
Stewart Law the swift spring compatible for maxspeedingrod coilover
Take the locking collars out of the front and she will sit as low as the rear
Hmm..I might give this a try tomorrow. Theres the collar to lock the lower part, the locking collar your talking about is with the 2 locks for the preload, right?
Take two of those collars off and keep the locking on. And it will drop real good. That what I did with my car. And it dropped it like 1.5 inch more.
So take off that part under the top hat in the front struts correct ?
Also your clunking could be outer tie rods, mine were shot, gotta upgrade steering parts and get an alignment
That sounds is your wheels rubbing with your coilovers my mr2 did that in the front it was rubbing on the spring had to run 5mm spacers lol
I'd bring the back up to 3 fingers too... they look nice
The good old Maxpeedingrods coils. Half of europe starts to drift on those. Like 300$ per good set of coils
Happy to see the master who started all!
I've spent the good money on tein coilovers. have the same spring bind sound with one of mine from time to time. I dont have the bad fitment like you do. Only thing about the cheap ones that I wish I had are the mounts.
I want you to take my Camry for a drive bro pedders springs Monroe shocks
Camber bolts
White line front and rear sway bar with proper drop links
Also has it aligned at centreline suspension 😁
Dude!!! ..... Get high end adjustable suspension and coils it's worth ur money and time... + comfort ride and handling
alex keong exactly. Do it once, do it right.
@@derekgreen2823 for the Camry, BC's will not go low enough.
Car is rad definitely loving the channel vibes 🥂🔥🔥
you are aware the front fender arch rises much higher than the rear fender arch right
Amazing job and great price 10/10
On a streak hell yeah thanks man :) 🥰
😄😄😄🚗🚗🚗
Maybe if you get same stiffness coil spring, but shorter? Some well known maker like eibach. So spring preload couplers can go higher, and more stance would be available? Also about these clunks, maybe your spring is not pressed to top plate?
Actually a taller spring will prevent the binding. Spring height won't affect ride height more then a fraction of an inch, as the spring supports the strut, not the inverse. Eibach definitely makes plug and play springs and bumpstops for coilovers, a call or email to them and a few hundred dollars can transform most budget coilover setups into something that handles properly well without much compromise.
How is it holding up? Any leaks?
Adjust the preload and the front will go a lot lower
How are the coil overs long term? I'm planning to get a set for my 95 camry.
Coilovers should've been the first mod on this car looks way better 🔥
King springs vs coilovers price/performance for normal drive
Somebody did not know what the hell he's doing. U did it Rex, when u change from the stock ones to the yellow springs. Anyway, love your Camry and channel. Peace from the USA.
Just built in sport springs
The front can’t go lower on es300. I took one ring off where spring sit at and adjust bottom part all the way up but still now low enough.. I knew the spring in front need shorter..
Unfortunately i ran into the same problem with the fronts. 3 finger gap on my 99 prelude. Im still trying to figure out how else to fix this
The fronts is adjusted to the maximum lowest setting without touching the preload set. If i adjust the preload to the lowest setting, the springs are now loose which i dont think its supposed to be that way.
Are these coilovers any good ??
I just put those on my Camry you should put headers an a super charger TRD .
How many mm spacers you got ?
Hey man is your Camry right hand drive
Hey man heard everything going on Australia I love your channel not a hundred percent you live in Australia but if you are hope all is well.
How are they holding up?
Back to your roots 😍
Shame about the front, but at least the back looks proper vip
Yeah wish the front could look that good :((
Manual conversion next? 😉
The Daily staying auto unfortunately haha
I live on a hill and my camry bottoms out at the top on stock suspension 😭
What your size spacer? and wheel/tire size?
Any one know if there's any trd parts for a 1999 Toyota camry except for the supercharger of course
I got a 1999 Camry LE. Need new shocks. What should I get??
Have you still got them away still running good any lakes Knocks?
What size wheel spacers did you get ?
It's my first car to
coilovers had to set in. thats why they were making noises.
I came across your videos and I wanted to ask, am I able to modify my 2005 Camry? It's a 4 cylinder an I've seen people install turbo among other things. I want to get an evo next year but I'd love to play around with my baby
For some reason they never lower on the front and they always click with this chassis es300, solara, or camry.
How much those bad boy cost??are they really expensive?
I have these, they ride like absolute shit, front doesn't go low enough but you can get replacement springs for the front. For $300 u can't complain though.
how are the coils holding up?
I have a set they do the same exact things on my Camry
Did it settle after driving it need an update video
Honestly the wheels are a bit to big, with some smaller ones you could get it a tad lower and looking way better “in my opinion”
I got the same issues the front is higher than the back. And I can't raise the back.
I had the same one i had to get rid of em not worth it
Maybe u mistook the fronts from the back? They should all match in height
They only go in one way unfortunately so that's all you're gonna get out of them
Quick question can I put just put coil overs on just the rear I have 18x9 on mines and the back sits up a little to high
Could you cut the front coil?
What are the sizes of the wheels
wait arent spacers illegal in aussie land?
Some 3 piece wheels will look good on it 🤔
So did u figure it out
Would something like this work for a sort of rambler build? I'm planning on putting some real aggressive all terrain tires and they rub on the springs could these coil overs work if I want a higher stance?
That's the brand I used but my car didn't get that low in the front.
You have to order shorter springs seperate
@@thatdamnmanhd7984 do you have any suggestions?
I got a 2000 xle v6 I rly want to turn it into a sleeper I just wanna gap people in a grandpa car😭
How much do these cost in Australia bro? When I wanted coilovers for my camry they were all $900+ AUD shipped from the US which isnt worth it so i have the springs..
Just heard it's 400$ lol not bad i got my king springs for 300$
You think the head and engine parts from a mr2 fits to my 4cyl camry
Do yk what the thread size is?
I might have missed something, but what's with the Link G4 box? And how did you end up getting the rounded lock nut off?
Also, organise togue run please xox
Someone has a keen eye haha and defs need to touge with subs
I'm pretty sure he had to drill that out
i wanna do this to my camry
that sound sounds like the locking nut left loose
We tried everything, couldn't fix it :/
Buen video
transmission swap next?
Drop linkage for the fronts, can you get one ?
Can you help me find some suspension for my car
now you need a sticker on the back window that says #SLAMRY
Is that 1 inch spacer in the rear ??
Hey do you still have these on your Camry? I have a set I was trying to install but my lower two suspension bolts wouldn't fit under the small lip of metal on the bottom end of the coilover. Bit of a bummer. Did you have that issue? I have a 2001 Camry. Thanks.
I had the same issue on one of mine. I think it's just poor manufacturing. I banged mine with a hammer to give me enough clearance. It wasn't a pleasant experience, but I eventually got it on. An angle grinder would probably work too.
Wish you had joined the 3rd/4th Gen Camry Krew on Facebook, you would’ve known not to buy these coilovers if you had. A bunch of us have used these and they’re garbage. I’ve swapped the springs on them to go lower, and they’ll never be comfortable to ride on
ThatBoyWithTheFez what coils do u guys run? I want to run coils but im on a budget and these coils in the vid are cheap. I got a v6 5spd 1999 camry, check my channel for a quick vid, thanks
Do you live close to all those fires in Australia?
Luckily I'm a fair bit away form the fires, very fortunate
So is this still your daily bro ?
Yeah man
@@RexH great work bros can't wait to see what you do next man, I like the style you did with the SW20 and how it still looks streamline but different so I am anticipating that you would do something road with the camry as well 😊🤘
Will it fit for the AE110 97 Corolla?
I just put the coil overs on my 97 Camry Nd I’m having the same front issue did it settle out after driving it more or it’s still sitting like jack stands
Take the locking collars out the front
Anyone else live in australia have to pay so much for shipping with these
How much u spend for that
What size rims are those?
I got a good 50,000kms out of those ebay coilovers in my gc8, cant complain for $300, stiff AF tho😂
I call bs 50000 k's on those. I'm a mechanic and those coilovers will not that long .
@@_i-kr6eg iM a mEcHaNiC😂😂😂
Lower the front
Awesome slamry i will have a slamry too:))
Bro lower the front ones all the way, what i did on my 97 is that i switched the front springs on the coilovers for 2000 honda civic lowering springs an they ride so much smoother and better and also they let you lower the car way more
Didn't even roll mine
Hi. Going by the link below for the set you have I think 10kg springs on the front is a bit hard. You should be able to find some 8kg springs that fit for not too much money. Could try to get some that are a bit shorter as well. Get the front lower.
You may be able to help with the funny noises by greasing your top mounts. Was watching another video earlier about it. th-cam.com/video/5Zf7TGV22-Q/w-d-xo.html
Oh no, this isn't good that you started modding the daily again 😂.
The Daily is about to become the MR2 again, and the slamry will become the sometimes-ly
Hahaha yeah ikr this is not what I should be doing 😂
