    I'm 100% traditional and I get stopped pretty much every day for a quote and they usually add that they've just got rid of or are going to get rid of current WFP cleaner. So I always add extra on price and tell them because it will take longer and better clean.
    Today what I gather is I'm making at least 4-6 quid more per house.
    I've tripled my money by sticking to my price and not being a soft.
    Good video again bro. 😎

    Great video Pete. The only trad I do is insides so I always charge more for that. If a customer was to ask for a specific type of cleaning trad/wfp I would charge extra as they are looking for something particular otherwise I would charge the same as at the end of the job you get the same results. 👍

    I’d like to reprice pretty much all my work if I could. I’m not the cheapest in my area but I’m not the most expensive either. I actually had a lady today ask me to price her bungalow, (pretty standard). I charge 50% more for a first clean so I said £18 & then £12 maintenance cleans. She nearly choked on her cigarette & said “mine only charges £8” I said u should probably stick with him then..... another one looking to save 50p or a pound 😂.

    Great video Pete with some very sound advice and good information👍🏻. I’m in the process of building up a new round after moving to a different area, I’ve always had a flat rate per window pricing structure with the thought that the “over priced” smaller windows would offset the potentially “under priced” larger windows and it would even itself out that way. But I’m thinking I should adjust that and do as you do and have set prices dependant on size and type of window. As you say it’s much better to have a smaller well priced round than a massive round that’s all far too cheap. I’ll definitely be using that app on my next few quotes to give it a try and see what the conversion rate is like.
    Thanks again Pete👍🏻

    Really good advice- just be confident in your pricing. I need to, im just starting, but im nervous everytime.
    A friend of mine said, always price a bit more, you can always come down if you choose to

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly, if you feel you've over charged a bit, it's easier to come down than if you have to put the price up.

    • @TradMan

      Yeah it's not easy to stand your ground sometimes with haggling customers, but what I find helps is just to say, ok no problem thanks for letting me know, I'll leave you with our quotation today and let you have a think and hopefully see you in the future. That way your standing your ground in a polite way and letting them know that you are confident in yourself and your company.
      Those that really try to haggle, I'm already thinking I don't want them as a regular customer anyway. They are basically telling you that they think you and your services are worth less than they are, so I'm thinking, thanks for your time... bye!
      Stick to your prices if your delivering a good quality job, there are always plenty more good custys out there. 😉

  • @angliscsaxon1288

    This is the only reason I'd never do window cleaning full time I refuse to rely on customers to stay loyal to me if joe soap up the street will clean windows on a 2 bed semi for £6 giving me the option of telling the customer to shove it where the sun doesn't shine 😁. Also I like to use wfp on upstairs and traditional on downstairs it saves on water

  • @heatherthewindowwoman4835
    @heatherthewindowwoman4835 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I use the same counter, thought I was the only one😅.
    Edit: in terms of pricing I always charge more for WFP because the filters for my areas hard water has to be changed more often.
    I always automatically tack on $50 for the cost of WFP supplies and I charge about 10% for wfp work vs traditional. Of course construction cleanup is whole other ball park in pricing, always charge 3x (or more) your normal rate.

    I wouldn't over promise on service. I hate sales'y selling. So generally just give my price a leave it with them if they hem and haw.
    Serious question to you tradman how many windows would you have had to clean 10 years ago to earn the equivent of the mimimum wage back then, and how many now with your current pricing.
    I think the biggest problem window cleaners have is trying to keep pricing relevant over the years, with exsisting customers.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I earn more than double now than when I first started self employed which was almost 6 years ago now.
      Before that I worked for 2 large window cleaning companies and was paid an hourly rate below £10 per hour

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I think increasing your price a little each year is a good idea, especially if your prices are low.
      Fortunately I've priced my work quite well so no need to increase at the moment, but it's something that I would address in future as prices of everything slowly increases
