Ours was stuck in the closed position but the procedure is the same. Without the video I had no idea what was at the other end of the metal connecting rods. Did take some good pulling to get it out but after spraying some dry lubricant and reinstalling it, it's working. Thanks!

Batteries last about 3-5 years in my experience… They always put the worst batteries in from the dealers. SMH. 🤦‍♂️ Good luck with a free battery love to hear what happened about that…. 🙏

Man I've been trying to figure this for months. Also parts stores ask $200 for my 07 saturn outlook xr passenger side (Xenon bulb). Dealership repairs really unaffordable. Sometimes the salvage yards are a viable option. Thanks a million.

"once it is all in place"....... hahahahaha.... it wont go in place. the pulley face on the saw is slightly larger than the teeth of gear inside of it... so it wont go together that easy.... Thats why came here..... grrr... granted mine is a craftsman.. but mechanism is mostly same.. oh well...... back to searching videos.

Find a mower blade... regular, standard, normal lawn mower blade. Dangerous, obviously, but effective. Be easy to sharpen..

With electric chainsaws should you be able to turn the chain by hand. It just seems too loose if I don't tighten it down. But then I can't rotate the chain by hand to sharpen. Wasn't sure if electric chainsaws were this type of tightener need to be tight so that the sprocket can turn it.

I have same idea using bicycle brake cable on my hand held grass trimmer. Haven't tried it yet, but thought ahead about the fraying. What if you solder every other inch along the cable to allow minimal fraying? I also thought about leaving the plastic casing on it to help prevent this problem. I only intend to cut grass and common weeds not brush or heavy vines. Let me know if you try it and I'll do the same as soon as I can get around to it. Any comments welcome
