Very comprehensive instructions! You have great pacing and fantastic camera angles to show exactly what you are doing. Extremely helpful for a beginner like me! Thank you for sharing!
I’m a beginner searching for all the help I can get and also a virtual learner. Your camera angles and explanations are so calming and easy to follow. Thank you so much.
Ok! The rubber bands are sophisticated weaving technology! Thank you for helping me with my tensions issues. I have been having a hard time with the tie on stage.
Is there another video that picks up where this one left off. I’d like to see what she uses to wind the bows onto the back bar and not have it be all lumpy.
In her course (learn.longthreadmedia.com/courses/pick-up-stick-basics-and-beyond), Sara demonstrates this, but I am happy to share her tips with you! As the apron rod comes around and the tie-on bows are about to push into the weaving, she uses a 4-6" long piece of craft paper to wedge in and cover the bows. It's incredible how a little paper keeps the tension even. She also mentions a paper towel roll sliced down the middle as another option to pop over those bows. I hope that helps. Happy weaving!
An excellent teacher-slow, calm and no extra chit chat except what’s helpful.
We agree, Sara is a wonderful teacher!
Started my first weave today, practiced this and it's so easy to get it right. Thank you!
