I have a question, why is it that when I "show access list"
mine shows ---> 10 permit host 192.168.30.3 (8 match(es) )
While yours shows ---> 10 permit host 192.168.30.3 (4 match(es) )

for example, 8 matches on the first line means that entry was used 8 times (2 ping tests), in my case the 4 matches (1 ping test)

Hi sir, I'm not sure if it is better to email my question? It's not regarding to this lab but the diagram is similar to this labsheet. I am using static route (exit-interface), and I need to put ACL on one of the PCs so that they can't talk to the ISP. But by doing so, now my pcs can't talk to each other. Is there something that needs to be added?

On 18:02 and 26:53, for your answer to the question... Why would placing the ACL on the serial interface block LAN? Why is it outgoing? What about placing ACL on the Lo0 interface instead, and if not, why not? Thank you in advance!

It is better to place ALCs on LAN interfaces because placing them on serial interfaces will affect routing protocols and can generate other issues

If the acl filters on SOURCE IP and it is on g0/1 for OUTGOING traffic, then that traffic must come FROM the 30 network?
Hence the SOURCE IP will be FROM the 30 network, and then it should not be allowed?

in this case sources are 10 and 20 networks, the destination is 30 network so an standard ACL should be placed close to the destination and that is the reason is configured on R3 on g0/1 out

It’s pretty hard to make out the English from the accent but it’s worth it because the explanations are detailed... just that I can’t really understand what he’s saying sometimes and there’s no subtitles except for when answering to the questions.
