Walt Disney's Kansas City Connections | Arts Upload

This week, PBS devoted two nights to telling Walt Disney’s amazing tale, but even in four hours, they missed some of the ways that the Disney footprint can still be seen around Kansas City. Producer Ashley Holcroft and videographer Dave Burkhardt decided they could remedy that.

It's June of 2019, and Thank You Walt Disney is still dragging their feet on restoring the Laugh O gram building. They have been an organization since 1994. The building is in horrible shape. They blame funding and that other people do not want to contribute to funding a building in which the neighborhood is derelict. They will not put any money into this without others on the block doing things as well. They need to step up and take care of the building. There is trash everywhere and the brick work is failing. Go look for yourself. They are all about themselves, and not the actual building. It's a sad memorial for Walt.
