I hate to rain on the parade, but as a retired college professor it surprises me that anyone believes that colleges or universities are or ever were centers of free speech. A college is not a street corner. Colleges have always decided who they permit to speak on their campuses. For some reason, conservatives (it used to be liberals) now insist that anyone should be able to speak at any college or university, whether the college or university wants them there or not. That’s actually a very radical position.
At least she admits her supporters bailed on her too, which was the final reason she didn't go. But don't forget that Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Robert Reich were all in favor of her speaking.

The school was attacked and the speaker had to be escorted under protection out of the building. If you don't like the speaker , don't go to the speech. Simple. But those who want to hear the speech should be allowed to do so without being attacked.
