Quick WSPR Crash Course with JTDX (or WSJT-X)

A quick introduction to WSPR, how to use it, and why use it, to determine which bands are hot or not for your particular QTH.

well, it's 2021.. I have wspr going on wsjt-x, how do I see my reports? I can see whats going on at wsprnet's map, but having it show up in wsjt would be nice.

How can I find that CONUS info? Is it a website or software?

Computer radio at it's best. Great minds. I want software that will allow artificial intelligence to operate my radio. Mine will be called "Denny" and it will do it all. Even send off for certificates. Telepathy is the final mode. Microphones are obsolete.

Who ever wrote the software is making the contact. I am a scientist with patients and have had a license for over 50 years. Had to study to get where I am. I just want to be like the dumbed downs and not have to work to get a lot of wall paper. Worked for some years to get 6M WAS #233. Now they can get it overnight. Well the person who wrote the code can get it for the lazy ones. Broke a 6M distance record many years ago. Edited license manuals for Gordo. Actually I have given up on ham radio and am returning to Malaysia where I have a lot of pull as my step-son is a prince. I was asked to get on 6M digital so many hams could get that country and I told many " like hell". Put time in and scrounge and build an amp and go EME with a quad stack.

@@dennisgonya4500 If you understood what this software was designed for you would know it's NOT for making contacts. I've been licensed for 63 years and been involved in many facets of ham radio over the years. Digital modes have their place and not for all but the world of technology has changed a lot as far as communications. The thrill of contacting someone on the other side of the globe will never be like it was years ago.

STAFF ENGINEER/SCIENTIST AT IBM WITH PATENTS AND REDESIGNED A CELL REPETER FOR INTEL THEY SCREWED UP. ON THE EXTRAL CLASS QUESTION POOL COMMITTIE. 50+ YEARS AS A HAM AND SET DISTANCE RECORDS ON 6 METER BAND AND MUCH, MUCH MORE. THEY HAVE DUMBED DOWN THE HAM RADIO SOCIETY.

@@dennisgonya4500 Yes they have. It’s now like the “participation trophy” mentality. They don’t want to exclude anyone as their feelings might get hurt. I made the mistake of listening to a 2 meter Echo Link repeater the other day...it sounded like a bunch of CB operators.
