The past filled with Victorian splendor, but you didn't, you're right here and now living in a world of elegance on a dime. Just right for your Easter tablescape, and it's going to look like a million bucks... but, it's the Dollar Tree, and that will be our little secret, right?!
To be honest it reminds me of several items I've seen at the Pottery Barn, not to say this is a dupe or hack, but it sure is close!

Every piece turned out so fabulous. I have never used milk glass paint.....it sure adds to the plain glass and makes it look so expensive. I love making vases and centerpieces using DT plates and bowls but u kinda get tired of everything looking the same.............at least I do. This is a wonderful idea.....love it. I too remember milk being delivered to our house when I was growing up.............lol........I think it may have been Sealtest.........in the gallon bottles...........we sometimes got chocolate milk too..........lol............thanks for sharing such a beautiful and creative diy. Next time I go to Lowes I am going to pick up a couple cans of the milk glass paint......Valspar makes great spray paints..........I love their metallic gold and silver spray paint.

10 hung out at my daughter's andvson in law for the week, some health stuff but she,s doing much better. She has too have knee surgery in May so i,m making her the fairy garden home as a gift. Hey, Nana! :) Very pretty! 😍 Didn't know that they sold milk paint spray. Btw, if you wet the adhesive spot and just set some baking soda on it for a little while...with a wet rag it will come off easily and doesn't damage the item. You've married a sweetheart! Enjoy your weekend! Tfs...💕💕💕

I knew. about the Milk Glass paint but not about the Milk Glass "spray paint!" How ingenious you are dear! ! ! Absolutely ! it looks like my 8x8 & 9x13 baking/serving dishes! Ism overwhelmed

All of it turn out so beautiful. I was getting all my items from the dollar tree painted as well tonight. I didn't do any of what you did but I had just as much and my hubby helped as well. I'm so excited about getting all this done.

I want to tell you that I could listen to you talking 24 hours a day. I am disabled and live in pain 24/7 . Going from a real go getter and never stopped to now most days I can't even get out of bed it can get to be depressing and also being hit with the big C on top of this it seemed like all the air had been knocked out of me . My faith is what has always kept me trying to keep on trying but now that I have found your channel I so get enjoyment from you. I get a blessing every time I see one of your videos... Thank you for sharing as you do and please don't quit,. I can hardly wait till your next DIY.
Pam Bell Hang in there, for I know what it is like to have poor health, that has changed your life completely. I have been in pain since 12/17/12 and it gets very tiresome because i get sick of taking pain medication. TH-cam has been a lifesaver because on good days, I try to do crafts. Just know that you are not alone.
Pam and AnneBeth, we might as well call it a club because believe it or not I'm in it knee deep. I was active and healthy almost two years ago now, after the big C hit me I've been in pain non-stop. The pain meds only hit it partially, the rest I give to the Lord... because it's all I have left.... I didn't craft today because I was in too much pain - it started this morning and progressed into the day. I kept thinking I was done then it hit again. I'm so sick of it. But I keep going because I love sending my happy vibes out into the world in hopes that they will come back to me. I will keep crafting Pam Bell and I will think of you! You too annebeth!

Taylor is right! You can get it at Lowes' (that's where I got mine) but I read that Ace Hardware also carries it! Hope you make some, its fun and quick, but also quite elegant!
Oh I love these. I remember when I was a little girl the house we lived in had a "milk delivery door" where the milk man would open from the outside and put our milk in and we would open from the inside to get the milk.
Do you have any milk glass? My Nana had a lot and i really wish I would have gotten more when she died.
Unfortunately I don't - I do remember thinking the jars were really really big... but the milk was always super cold and tasted the best!

Wouldn't it be easier if you glue them first and then paint them so that way you won't have to sand some of the paint off 😞 just asking
Vala Dina you want the paint on the backside of the glass when possible, like the plates and bowls. All over is the only option for things like the candlesticks.
I love this idea and video however even with my volume turned to 100% I could hardly hear you! This was something that I was looking to do happy I could follow in the pictures!
so when they get dusty and need to get washed what will happen to the paint? How would you clean them?

Looks pretty, but to those of us who love REAL MILK GLASS and collect it, this is like a rip-off from Valspar to make such paints. It is best to collect the real stuff than living with fake stuff in our book. Milk glass isn't all expensive, either. We have a big collection of milk glass and other lovely pieces. Nowadays people don't appreciate the classic things in life and want to cheapen the integrity of the original. This is just our opinion, of course, so don't get offended.lol

To be completely honest Mercury, it never crossed my mind to look for milk glass per se, it was just a fun way to change the already mounting collection of glass objects I already have. Also, not to defend Valspar, but it is just the joy of creating beautiful pieces that continues to motivate people like me. Had I had a true interest in "collecting" milk glass I would totally agree with you, however, it is just the joy of creating that motivates here. Thank you for your comment because it is true that we should and do listen to all sides of any discussion. The important thing is to always respect another persons opinion whether we agree or not. Attacking someone due to those differences is just petty and spiteful... so it would not belong in a forum where creation itself is joyful and not in need of any negativity.
