@@alinaj1707 Thank you. I don't know all the names in this class. Which girl is Nuykina? Who are the others who are now at Mariinsky? Maria Khoreva has grown so much professionally/artistically. It's great to see all the videos of her.
Actually Vaganova in her book said how important it is to be 100% precise in allegro during class work, very strictly passing through all the positions, and she explains why. This CANNOT be done if you wear pointe shoes in allegro. You just do the half work. It simply out of sense and nature.
@Matin Angel -- One of the main things that separates Russian students from most Western students is the precision of their technique from Day 1 -- real fifth in the first year. No thirds. No do the best you can. These girls have been taught to go through positions for years, as they are doing here better than any pre-professional class I have ever seen in the West. This particular class is particularly talented, and your comments make absolutely no sense.
They are so beautiful. I hope they have fulfilling careers on the stage!
Maria Khoreva, now, in a very short time, a world-famous ballerina, a First Soloist at the Mariinsky Ballet.

Well on stage they will also have to do all of these jumps on pointe. So for the older, more advanced classes this could be great to improve
