I want landlocked nations to start offering superior ship registering terms to Liberia and Panama. Let's make this practice as cynical as possible. Plus the Chad Merchant Fleet has a nice ring to it.
Hi Shirvan, great video! Commerce adapted very quickly to the change in geopolitics on the seas, with Liberia becoming world leader in the 1960s. And here I thought the double Irish with a Dutch sandwich, and other forms of tax evasion were a new thing. But it seems that these methods have been invented by international capitalism a long, long time ago.
I feel like the US should do more to beef up our relationship with Liberia. I'm not sure what, but possibly allowing well educated African Americans to help start businesses there or something might help.
I’d like to see that as well, but I don’t care what nationality the investors are. I just think our ideology is closely aligned enough that we could make very good allies

I often tell blacks in the diaspora who have ancestors who were enslaved that Liberia is our new home. It was founded by our ancestors for us to start over in Africa. Liberia has a troubled history but I think it can become prosperous because of the newfound peace. I encourage all blacks in the diaspora who cannot directly trace their roots to a specific tribe in Africa to consider making Liberia their new home.
I'm not african but I support that. Liberia has potential since her beginnings. I'll support any movement to have foreign blacks make liberia their new home cause I'm sure that will end racism
But then what about the native Liberians whose ancestors have lived in that region since before colonization? Are they supposed to scoot over as thousands of foreigners flood their nation?
This is the problem with corporate capitalism: ALL companies seek out 'sophisticated ways of avoiding taxes and regulation' (ie. shirking their responsibility to the rest of humanity). The international shipping racket is a perfect example of this.
