It's not deep but it hits this primal type of joy that never fails to make me smile even when my brain is attacking me. Do more. Enjoy laughing at the videos. Everytime We Touch will hit nostalgia
Welcome to Partycore. This band is the best thing I discovered last year. Going to see them at the end of the month and couldn't be more excited. They are so infectious. Great musicians that do not take themselves too seriously.
Love that you laughed and vibed legit the whole time. Then when it ended, composed yourself and said you didn’t enjoy it. You totally did, and it’s ok. Welcome to EC.
I LOVE having people listen to electric callboy for the first time, its always so far from peoples expectations that the reactions are very fun, though i also do very much enjoy their actual music
Oh my fucking god 😂Did not expect to see this here. Electric Callboy is my favourite German band. They are just so much fun through and through. But while they might not take themselves serious at all, they do take their craft very serious. As silly as the lyrics and music videos get, the music production is always on point with these guys. If you want a bit more depth from them, they have some songs that are more serious. Crystals and Mindreader are the ones to check out there. But most of their songs are very silly. MC Thunder is about driving around in a stolen Cadillac. We Got The Moves is about having The Moves while looking like Oliver Tree. Pump It is about GAINS. Spaceman is just a pure rave. Tekkno Train is the horniest song you've ever heard. They all go in that general direction. The lyrics aren't deep at all, it's just about partying and having fun. Their genre is called Electronicore. Mixing elements of EDM with Metalcore. There's one track that has a complete Hardstyle drop directly followed by a Metalcore breakdown. And let's not forget the absolutely legendary cover they just did of Everytime We Touch!
Well done for watching the whole way through. The first time I heard this band I thought it was a mess 😅 then I couldn’t stop singing it or playing it.
I was worried you’d be too serious and try to break this down but you understood this assignment 😂 If you don’t enjoy this though you won’t enjoy them, they’re all about good vibes, making people happy, and not taking themselves too seriously. So if you can only enjoy serious lyrics you’re really missing out!
Lmao EC might’ve been a bit extreme to start u into more metal type songs 😂 they’re known for their more fun and party esc style, though they take their music just as seriously as they have fun with it. If u r looking for something with deeper meaning, Antimatter by Silent Planet is a very good one, about on par with this song on the level of heavy vocals. The song is about a car crash the band were in last year, as well as the hallucinations and such the lead vocalist had while waiting for help with a concussion. Loved this reaction, and I love your willingness to try new and potentially extremely confusing things!!
There might be some haters crawling out of the sewer but you'll see, the majority of people enjoy what EC is creating with their music and just want for you to have fun with it too. The genre is trancecore, borderline metalcore. Check out Fckboi for something completely different by them, it features the American based, multi national all female band Conquer Divide. Or Mindreader, which is even more serious with lyrics deeper than what they (purposly) did with Hypa Hypa.
I'm so beyond excited to see you react to this! I love seeing people react to them for the first time 😂 Electric Callboy really embodies having fun with music haha
Welcome to the Electric Callboy rabbit hole, their style is called Electrocore (Tekkno/Metal), you really need to check out more of their stuff like Tekkno Train, Spaceman and their cover of Everytime we Touch. They are so much fun
Idk, it sure seemed like you enjoyed it to me. Granted, it might not be something you would listen to all the time, but you did have fun watching, and that has to be worth something
The perfect blend of Techno and Metal. If you really want to go down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole, react to We Got The Moves and you will really get a feel for just how damn goofy and fun this band really is.
You’re probably not ready for the metalcore sound, but if you like getting into the deeper lyrics I’d love to see a reaction to Masochist by Polaris or Gone With The Wind by Architects. Loving all the rock reactions ❤
dude, I’ve been listening to EC for almost a decade. watched TONS of reactions of their videos and you literally had me laughing harder with this song then I have in a long time! great reaction.
Also if I am not mistaken the double profile shot is a parody of a Dartl Hall and John Oates ( Hall and Oates ) album cover from the same Era. This is exactly what you would expect a euro band to think America Music was like in the 80's ....this is a parade of headline Bands and high-school action of the 80's
Not sure what genre of music you are into, the TH-cam algorithm brought me here, so I am new to your channel. I was intrigued by your declared "dislike" of it as your body was giving me different vibes when you were watching the video. "Hypa Hypa" and its seven covers put out during the pandemic and there was no touring was a very interesting phenomenon. You mentioned the choreography and two songs of Electric Callboy stand out. "Pump It" - the choreography is exhausting to watch and their most recent video a cover of the Cascada version of "Everytime We Touch" which has some choreography in it in the song - it is Kevin (the growler) and Nico (the crooner) doing routines. There songs aren't necessarily very lyrically deep. I went to the hardcore punk side in my twenties (in the 1980s) because metal was all bouffée hair and meaningless lyrics. A band to check out for intelligent but comedic lyrics and parodies of certain styles of metal are Nanowar of Steel Their "Pasadena 1994" is a more Sabaton song than Sabaton about the 1994 World Cup where Italy lost to Brazil on penalties It has Joakim Brodén, the singer from Sabaton, singing too.
I was both late to the electric callboy party and your reaction to it. I just realized you did one. I’m a metal head and I avoided EC like the plague. I knew enough to know what they did but I dismissed em as a fad or trend and didn’t listen till “we got the moves” came out and I finally broke down and listened, now I fucking love em. I’d suggest that. If you still don’t like, walk away and move on to whatever is next
Yeah, @TeddyGreyOnStuff - there's no deeper / hidden meaning. Electric Callboy is literally "What if metal, but goofy?". It's encouraged to laugh along, and shake your head at the ridiculousness of it!
I was dying watching you! You have GOT to react to Tekno Train. They are hysterical with each song with the videos and costumes. Oh, you enjoyed it! LOL
I never knew I needed German rap in my life, not until hearing the song Spaceman by Electric Callboy, feat. FiNCH Official. It's almost like Germany has been keeping a musical secret from the rest of the world. (Until now!) 🤘🏼♥️♾️
I'm gonna scream in it the comments for as long as it takes; SLEEP TOKEN - ASCENSIONISM! The lead singer is a master lyricist on top of being a musical genre acrobat. Deeply emotional ride (like NF) if you read into the story of what's being presented in each album as opposed to songs individually.
context. this song broke after the first corona lockdown, and it was a big "fuckitall, we're still alive". ofc you need to like the fusion of edm and metalcore which is the hallmark of this band
I’m nearly 50yr old mum of two, accountant by profession living very happy and boring life, and I like heavier music. You don’t need to be football hooligan for it 😂😂😂.
Most of their songs I've heard are made to put a smile on people's faces. But Mindreader is a song that is actually a really good song and probably the one I think you might actually enjoy. Not because of the lack of humor in it, but because it's genuinely a great song.
You don't have to like them. It's a really quirky band and not for everyone. I think you might enjoy their cover of "every time we touch" by Cascada just because of the nostalgia? Anyway, enjoyed the video as always ✌️
You HAVE to check out Nanowar of Steel! Their song "Norwegian Reggaeton" is AMAZING! They are an Italian comedy that makes fun of Scandanavian metal. Their music is incredibly well written, and very technically difficult to pull off. Make sure the subtitles are on when you do "Norweigan Reggaeton" theres a cameo from a Spanish rapper, so part of it is in Spanish
I personally would never listen to that stuff by myself either, but I wholeheartedly enjoy the video experience and love showing it to others. EVen if you don't particularly like the Metalcore, I'd still would love to see your reactions on their other videos: We Got the Moves Pump It Everytime We Touch At least those, you'll piss yourself xD
The aesthetics of the video are impossible to really understand for people who know nothing about Germany in the 90s. Back in the late 80s and early 90s the German coal and steel industries went belly up and hundreds of thousands of working class dudes who had thought they would be working in those industries like their fathers and grandfathers had, found themselves without much perspective. That kind of created a whole generation of "peaked in high school"-type dudes who couldn't let go of their youth in the 80s and were still running around like that (mullets, handlebar mustaches aso.) till way into the 90s, long after that had stopped being fashionable. So in the 90s (when the guys in that band were kids) you had all those 30 to 40 year old, beer guzzling working class blokes hanging around techno rave parties and dance clubs, looking like time travelers from the 80s and trying to pick up chicks half their age. That is what this song and the video are making fun of and that is why it makes sense that the video mixes tropes from the 80s and 90s (Boy Band music, techno, aso.) and why the dudes look like from the 80s while the chick looks like a 90s raver girl. Ah and one other piece of explanation: The dancing people at the end of the video are a bunch of bigger German TH-camrs who are friends with the band.
If you want something different from this band, seek for devil within(accoustic version) :) I'm sure, you'll enjoy it... Btw, don't get confused, the've been named Eskimo callboy before
TL;DR - hilarious reaction to something I wouldn't have expected a rock new-comer to have any sort of true reaction to, but your community sort of jumped the gun in giving you a reaction suggestion to a band that's almost entirely satire and/or self referential joking. Without that context, the video is chaos. Well, it's always chaos, but the point isn't there lol. The reaction was phenomenal however I MUST say that your community kind of got ahead of themselves. Electric Callboy's music/music videos are roughly 90% inside jokes and parody of rock itself and are purposely meant to be a shock genre for people who are already into rock and metal. Their videos tend to be made to subvert expectation (ironically, now people fully expect it), so when you enter without expectation a large part of the appeal is just never present. Like I said, phenomenal reaction. I was laughing the whole time. Realistically, you also "got it" an INCREDIBLE amount for someone who's brand new to rock, from the lack of lyrical content to the point where you pointed at it's potential audience... Which unfortunately falls flat by the mere virtue of the fact that they're entirely joking about that audience appeal.
the thing with this song is that it's funny because you expect the screaming to be all dark and scary stuff, but it's literally just a song about seeing a hot girl at the club and getting infatuated with her. most of the stuff you've listened to has been way more serious than this. EC can do serious, too, but their most popular songs tend to be the more comedy-oriented ones. i'd like to see you revisit them sometime, but after you've done more metal and more EDM. i think you'll need to build up to something that chaotic again.
We got the moves...u will enjoy it.
This. Then Pump It.
@@kevingreen6621 At this point he could react so every MV from EC bcs lets be honest: they all slap HARD
One of my favs!!
Omg yes! Awesome
I was going to say I feel that or spaceman might've been a better intro to them imo.. lol
Pump It, Arrow of Love, Tekkno Train, Every time we touch, We got the moves, Spaceman. To name just a few.🤘🔥❤️🫂
yup this
Àlso MC Thunder.
It's not deep but it hits this primal type of joy that never fails to make me smile even when my brain is attacking me. Do more. Enjoy laughing at the videos. Everytime We Touch will hit nostalgia

These guys are the most fun thing happening! Pump It, We Got The Moves, Spaceman, Everytime We Touch.
Has a blast during the video. Says he hates it. Promptly watches it again after he signs off😂!
Holy shit you actually hit that high scream! That was awesome!
Electric Callboy is like an instant dose of dopamine for me! They're just as much of a party live. And admit it, you got into it :P

I just discovered these legends 3 days ago and that’s all I’ve been listening to since then!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my fucking god 😂Did not expect to see this here.

“Pump It is about GAINS” really made me laugh.
such a fun band. more reactions please
TeddyGrey smiles and laugh during the whole video, then proceeds to say he didn't enjoy it Us in Kylo Ren face: "MORE!!!"
Next WE GOT THE MOVES greetings from Germany
One of my favourite bands of all time. I always love seeing people discovering them for the first time ❤
Well done for watching the whole way through. The first time I heard this band I thought it was a mess 😅 then I couldn’t stop singing it or playing it.
I really love the fun dance metal I was looking for that I didn't know existed.
I was worried you’d be too serious and try to break this down but you understood this assignment 😂
If you don’t enjoy this though you won’t enjoy them, they’re all about good vibes, making people happy, and not taking themselves too seriously. So if you can only enjoy serious lyrics you’re really missing out!
I love that he did go from "what is this pop shit" to jumping and "döp döp döp"ing xD
They do fun metal thing.... this band literally makes anyone instantly happy.
"I did not enjoy it" ?
Now, my good man, you said you were confused.
You are not the only one.

How did you not go back to EC after having so much fun?
Reacting to the We Butter The Bread With Butter rendition of Hypa Hypa would be amazing!!!
Hahahaha Teddy your reactions are so funny to this type of Music 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Watch the video 3 times. Once for the whole thing, once for the nuances of band performance and once for the actual musical jam
He actually did it 😂😂😂🔥🔥
dude, I’ve been listening to EC for almost a decade. watched TONS of reactions of their videos and you literally had me laughing harder with this song then I have in a long time! great reaction.
You're right. It WAS Cowboy. They low-key changed their name a few months back.

seeing them in Boston next Month
Electric Callboy is the kind of band that you turn your brain off and have fun.
every song of them hypes you up so much - can recoment checking more songs. Everytime we touch is awsome (a cover from Cascadas song)
You should check out their cover of Evert time we touch, amazing!
I'm gonna scream in it the comments for as long as it takes; SLEEP TOKEN - ASCENSIONISM! The lead singer is a master lyricist on top of being a musical genre acrobat. Deeply emotional ride (like NF) if you read into the story of what's being presented in each album as opposed to songs individually.
dude yes that would work soo well, i support
You would never have survived the eighties and nineties personally. That's the best way to process it again :)
context. this song broke after the first corona lockdown, and it was a big "fuckitall, we're still alive". ofc you need to like the fusion of edm and metalcore which is the hallmark of this band
might want to watch this video cause you had a pretty good time.
bro, you have to dive into this rabbit hole of EC, be sure, them not gonna dissapoint you, Hypa Hypa is just an entrance ticket🤣
Can't believe you haven't heard them yet! 😂
Review Pump It from them :D
Brooooooo. You gotta do more Electric Callboy. Don't hate off one song. Tekkno Train, Pump It and We Got the Moves. Go for it.
Oh, you chould check their new Everytime we touch. Their best cover, and its just so goood. And the video are awsome
oh man.. they have soooo many incredible songs. You gotta do a whole deep dive.
eeeeeeerm......ok 😲 great choreo 😂😂😂 i had a laugh, they'd be a hoot to party with 👍 great reaction
MC THUNDER I and II please.
Eurovision vibes 😭
More electric callboy please!!
Check out Nightwish for music lyrics and passion. As for electric callboy they're quite boyish antics but funny. It's an interesting mix.
I’m nearly 50yr old mum of two, accountant by profession living very happy and boring life, and I like heavier music. You don’t need to be football hooligan for it 😂😂😂.
Hurrikan is absolutely incredible. If you do EC again.
Most of their songs I've heard are made to put a smile on people's faces. But Mindreader is a song that is actually a really good song and probably the one I think you might actually enjoy. Not because of the lack of humor in it, but because it's genuinely a great song.
FINALLY 🎉
You don't have to like them. It's a really quirky band and not for everyone.
I think you might enjoy their cover of "every time we touch" by Cascada just because of the nostalgia?
Anyway, enjoyed the video as always ✌️
Damn, so a person can actually make that high pitched scream, it just hurts the throat, by the looks of it.
I didn't know I needed this
Hsuahsuhsuahus
I love fuckboi from them. These guys are my favorite new metal band
More Callboy!
EVen if you don't particularly like the Metalcore, I'd still would love to see your reactions on their other videos:
We Got the Moves
Pump It
Everytime We Touch
At least those, you'll piss yourself xD
Ah and one other piece of explanation: The dancing people at the end of the video are a bunch of bigger German TH-camrs who are friends with the band.
hahah great! 😂💪
❤❤❤❤
It's Funcore. All their videos are filmed while party
the thing with this song is that it's funny because you expect the screaming to be all dark and scary stuff, but it's literally just a song about seeing a hot girl at the club and getting infatuated with her. most of the stuff you've listened to has been way more serious than this. EC can do serious, too, but their most popular songs tend to be the more comedy-oriented ones. i'd like to see you revisit them sometime, but after you've done more metal and more EDM. i think you'll need to build up to something that chaotic again.
Lovely lad! ❤
Now do WBTBWB - 20km/h
And then WBTBWB - Hypa Hypa
❤
For that matter, it would be nice to also make a reaction on ASKING ALEXANDRIA.
