Gosh, you make things so complicatwed. Just att 1 equiv Soda ash, and melt. Presto, pure shiny silver metal. No aqueous reduction needed. The soda ash provudes flux for melting, all easily water soluble, no borax glass that won't rinse cleanly. Why do you think you need to reduce it first? Silver oxide is not stable at melting point, I just dry the chloride, add sodaash, put in crucible, melt. Why make things more comnplex than needed?
I found the best and easiest way to get pure silver is to dissolve 925 in nitric then add copped to cement out the silver rinse and boil in hcl if you have washed it enough in water and hcl you will get 999
Cool vid thank you
Keeping the flame on during and after the pour is essential for getting a mirror finish and to see the crystal specs in the metal 😁
Absolutely! Thanks so much!

Sir, how much silver can be obtained in one kilo of silver chloride?
752.61 g of ag in 1kg of agcl
Look how funny life works. I’m in the process of getting silver out of solution with copper and low and behold your video pops up first thing.😂😂
Amen brother!
Cool, the only unfortunate part is dealing with all the leftover waste products.
The stories that hot plate could tell 😂
Why is the NaOH solution grey? Is that from iron particles? If you got rooto brand at Ace hardware it would be clear.
That is Rooto brand from Ace. Yes it's iron.
@@anthonythomasfmg I never have had iron particles in my rooto lye.
👍🏻
This video might be helpful for separating copper and nickle from the waste solution. >> th-cam.com/video/3J4qk-ELi4w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sczRI3_hMnLO58Ym
Thank you, I’ll give it a look.
