Excellent advice. Some carryons now have a "suiter" fold (Travelpro), which seems to help. But this folding method is excellent. Thanks.

That will work if you do not pack your carry on full. Trousers is a great suggestion, but it looks like it takes quite some space. I fold t-shirt or polo shirt with business shirts to prevent creasing. But all the hotels I tend to stay have an iron. Not averse to using it. In Italy I had a hotel with no iron/board. Management told me it was for my own safety. I have been a qualified ironer since I was 10 years old. Not internationally accepted in all countries :(
