Dude I have been watching your videos since grade 11 now am in matric all thanks to you .I hope you get enough credit for your work and thank you for all the knowledge you're sharing with us ❤️❤️🙏
GOD i love this guy and his way of teaching HAHAHAHHAHA sometimes he talks casually like hes reading our minds which makes it both entertaining and fun.. i love it
hey Kevin, there's a tutor my school brings in on Saturdays to help us with physics and he's a marker for the end of year matric papers. he mentioned that we should add fgparallel and fgperd as solid lines on our freebody diagrams instead of having fg there however our teachers do it the way you do it. so as a matriculant i don't really know what i am supposed to do. my teacher said that i should use her way when writing our exams but she doesn't know about the end of year papers.. what do you suggest?
Imaan, I can promise you that the final exam memo allows for multiple options. You can use the Fg// and Fgperp method. OR you can use Fg as a vertical. The only thing you may not do is use both methods at the same time.
Hey Kevin. There's something I really don't understand when it comes to that part of choosing a direction. Do we just choose any direction or there's something we follow before choosing a direction?
oh I get it now.... you need to form another triangle on the lengths mg and F(perpendicular) with a 90* angle and a 20* angle, its a shame that its not in the video, it would have made it much more intuitive.
Hello :) I purposefully leave that out most times unless I have a student who is very curious. Reason being it sometimes causes more confusion and they do not expect you to show this or know this in exams. It is easier to always remember that parallel is sin and perpendicular is cos. I have found that 99% of students prefer that.
Hey kev genuine question why did you subtract when calculate for the acceleration using the fg perpendicular and why didn't you make the 9.8 a negative because my teacher told it's usually a - 9.8 or is that wrong
Zakhele, I remember now that I already have a normal force video and hope you found it :) th-cam.com/video/7YhkjSlxsrc/w-d-xo.html I know this was a month ago.
You've actually managed to make me excited about doing physics, thank you ❤️
Wonderful Jordy! All the best for this year.
Keep lying to yourself

It is a huge pleasure and so happy it has helped you :)
For the first time in my life I now understand Newton’s Laws . Especially the Second Law . Thank you so much Sir . May God continue to bless you.😭🙏
Carried me in grade 10 and looks like you'll be carrying my grade 11 aswell
And 12 for me🎉
I honestly want to meet you Kevin and shake your hand, you've been more of a teacher to me for the past 5 years then my school teachers
You a legendary tutor sir thank you so much
Pleasure!!!
Actually studying for a test im writing tomorrow, for once i feel confident that ill pass, all thanks to you ❤
You helped me understand newton's laws...for that i thank you❤
Thank you very much❤️ I actually understand better
Awesome Shuvai! Glad you understanding the work.
Thanks for the teaching u helped to understand physics ❤
My son hated newtons laws but now he seems to be loving them coz of you THANK YOU SIR

JESUS LOVES YALL HE SAVES HE IS KING HE IS COMING BACK SOON REPENT RUN TO HIM HE LOVES YALL
😭❤Dropping my tutors for your online course if this goes well tomorrow
I'm gonna name my kid Kevin. Thanks man
Haha love this :)
@7:21 when i type it into the calculator i dont get your answer
Ohhh nevermind i didn’t put brackets at the end of sin20
So, for Fg perpendicular is always cos and parallel is always sin?
Yes
Hey, why was the power of the equation at the end a negative one? 7:22
That is the unit for acceleration
@TheSpecialOne00 because it went to the left?
Nope, whichever direction it is, the unit for acceleration will always be that. You could even Google for the unit of acceleration if that might help.
@@TheSpecialOne00 bro i know acceleration but why was the answer x^-2?
@@TheSpecialOne00 does it mean the answer is (1/x^2) or stays that x?

Choose any direction u like but commonly use the direction which has the most information makes life easier
on the last example, how did we know the friction is 20? and do we not have to indicate the normal force on the free body diagram?
This is really helpful
Thank you
You're welcome!
How did u calculate the acceleration
Thank God for kevin
Thank you Tinashe! All the best for this year :)
3:36 I dont get it... sin is supposed to be for the length further from the angle and cos is supposed to be for the length on the angle...?

So l want to know do you subtract or add when you use fg perpendicular included to calculate acceleration
When do you use sin
Please teach how to find the Normal force
Coming soon :)
Zakhele,
I remember now that I already have a normal force video and hope you found it :)

this comment saved me
Why is it up the slope? Kevin
Thank you so much!
You are de best❤🎉
what about the weight of the object?
Hey Kevin can you do a vid calculating the magnitude on the inclined plane
how to calculate the normal force?
Hey kevin .
I want to work out force f but i have 2 unknowns please help😭
Thanks man
where did you get the 9.8 of Fg parallel?
It is always 9.8 for fg, fg parallel and fg perpendicular :)
"it is a sin to go to a parallel universe"
Hey Kevin why was your friction =10?
20 I meant
If you look at the diagram, you can see that the Is a force of 20newtons going down the slope
Hi kev how do u handle an object with two tension forces😢
For me to get an answer of 4.65m/s/s, I had to make the objects mass 3.74kg. Am I missing something? :/
I was confused too ,but I got it now. Say Fapplied- friction then - fg parallel
Why didn't you apply frictional force i don't understand 😢
Uncle Kevin, I would truly like to thank you for saving me 😅
❤
I don't understand
somebody tell me why we have this in 9th grade
Hey kevin.
I want to work out force f but I have 2 unknowns please help 😭
