It's been a little bit since I've left a comment, so I just want to stop for a second to say thank you for all the effort you put into your videos! They are so high quality! These are one of my favorite things to put on in the background while I'm working.
Hey my friend. Good to hear from you again. I was just thinking about your previous comments the other day and wondered how you were doing. I had several people comment similar things to our original conversations which is what sparked that memory. As always, I'm glad you are enjoying the videos! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
@@sla31, you're so kind to remember! I am still working on my fears, but I'm gearing up for my longest flight thus far, which will be a journey from Phoenix to Copenhagen at the beginning of next year. This is a huge step for me and is the flight I've been working my way up to for the past couple of years. My hope is that someday I won't need so much build up, but it is a good excuse to go on smaller adventures that require a plane. ;) I hope you're doing well and am glad your videos are reaching so many of us who struggle with flying. It's truly an amazing thing to get to do, to see the world from that perspective so many thousands of feet in the sky, and there were moments on my last flight where I was able to actually feel that, which was exciting. I appreciate you, your efforts, and the passion that you drive this channel with. Take extra good care, friend! :)
@amberhall1119 sounds like it’s going to be a great trip! I’m sure you’ll have a great flight! I’ve been doing fine. Leaving tomorrow morning for my 38,000 mile, 35 flights, massive marathon of a trip. So I believe I’m about to have some fun but also get extremely tired 😅. Anyway, take care and as always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
I discovered his channel after my first flight and came here to relive the experience. I now have an additional four takeoff and four landings under my belt. Flying is a form of therapy to me now. I see why he makes a living sharing his love of planes.
Lovely captured opening clip video and as always beautiful sharing adventure travel trip reports and there you go again, gorgeous filming edition captured camera work with stunning footage views, keep rocking my friend and have a wonderful blessed weekend ! .. TQSM ! ..
Tbh I prefer the Boeing sky interior over the Airbus airspace interior. But the A321, especially the neo, is a little quieter. Overall I prefer the 737 (besides safety) but I enjoy the Airbus too
I agree. Southwest A321 would be cool. However, Southwest going to Airbus requires a lot of training, crew familiarization and route options, and maintenance. Southwest has been flying Boeing 737’s for its entire history ever since they were founded. All of the generations too. Southwest is the world’s second largest operator of the 737 after Ryanair. They need to hire new pilots for Airbus planes or train former/current 737 pilots to fly the Airbus A320 family.
I am amazed at the size of luggage that the airlines allow being taken aboard - the guy in front of you in this video would not have been able to carry that size suitcase on board when I was working for UAL - that would have had to go in the belly. I guess people are skeptical above the airline losing their suitcase so they don't check it anymore - lol.
And then you have me, flying around the world for 3 weeks and I’m taking 15 lbs total 😂. I’d rather travel light and do laundry than haul my whole life around 😂
I go on a (post) birthday trip next summer to Machu Picchu starting in STL, but taking flt 917 for the end leg. I stop in CLT on the way there and PHL on the way back...not happy about 2 stops each way, but I saved about $300 getting them on my own vs what the tour company quoted even while getting regular coach instead of basic economy. Someday when I retire I'll take a flight business or first just for the experience. How was the service and food? I have a feeling I misread your title. Were you just going DFW-MIA and not continuing to Lima (AA917)? If so I apologize for the error.
That sounds like it's going to be an awesome trip. I hope you have a great time! That's something that's on my bucket list. I was not connecting on to Lima. I see where the confusion is coming in though. The IFS 917 at the end of the title is imply the episode number. This was the 917th episode of The Inflight Series (IFS). The last portion of every video title is really just a way for me to keep track of what I've posted and what I haven't yet. So it doesn't actually have anything to do with the flight in the video, it just helps me keep everything organized.
@@sla31 Thanks for clearing that up :) My late mom's part-time career was as a travel agent and that kind of inspired me to travel...except she got PAID to do it!
It’s always like that in hot climates. Hot air is less dense and stable than cold air. Any time you fly to a tropical place, just know that it’s going to happen. Nothing to worry about, though.😊
No, assuming you're from the United States. If so, you do not need a passport to travel domestically in the US and that includes the 5 inhabited territories. If you are not from the US, you need a passport to enter the country, but after your first port of entry, you can then travel domestically as much as you want once you're here. You wouldn't need the passport at that point to fly domestically. Just when you first enter the country.
@@retrostudio5600 well in that case, yes. When you enter the US for the first time you will have to have a passport. Now, a lot of flights from Canada to the US are pre-cleared which means you'll actually go through US customs and immigration in Canada at the airport. Depends on your itinerary if that happens or not. Regardless, wherever you do that, you will need a passport to enter the US. After you are in the US though, you can fly domestically in the US as much as you want. There won't be any other passport checks other than your point of entry to the country.

@@RoadsOfAsiaBen well it wasn’t an airline staffing issue. It was an ATC staffing issue. So it being weather and ATC related, the airline would never issue any refund for this. Plus, the flight might’ve been late, but they did fulfill their contract and get us from point A to B.

Reminds me of the opening scene of Miami Blues. Great movie a long time ago.😊
Awesome! 👍👍
Flew on United's A321-Neo last month ORD-SEA - loved it. Got Economy Plus for the extra legroom on the exit row.
United has the best A321NEO's too, IMO.

Nice
Always loved the A321 over the 737...wish Southwest would consider investing in flying the A321 on some of their longer routes.
You and me both my friend.

I want to support Boeing because they are an American company, but I reluctantly agree. I prefer the A321 as well over the 737.😢
Southwest loves and will stick with the 737 because of multiple reasons better than the A321. Look it up.
Nice graphics
Well, it should be since it’s a real flight 😂

Great fly! Have you looked on a new iPhone 16 yet that is coming out? What do you think?
I’m holding one in my hand right now. A brand new, 3 week, around the world trip required the best camera possible.

Do you need a passport to travel within America?
No, assuming you're from the United States. If so, you do not need a passport to travel domestically in the US and that includes the 5 inhabited territories. Why did you guys return to the gate
ATC hold due to storms and staffing issues on the eastern seaboard. It was a nearly 2 hour ATC hold. So we returned to the gate.
