Bro. Halverson, Thank you so very much for teaching & sharing in these Come Follow Me discussions. I love you and the spirit you bring in teaching. Your preparation ( your whole life ) has blessed me greatly. I love our Savior Jesus Christ and the scriptures that bear record of His divinity. I testify that Jesus Christ is divine and the Savior of us all. There is no other way. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains all intelligence, light and truth for our salvation. The Book of Mormon is true scripture just as the Bible is. They go hand in hand to witness Jesus Christ lives and his priesthood power governs this the true church!
@@UnshakenI look forward to these great lessons you always seem to make good sense out of a lot of this in the Book of Mormon. I'm amazed how much a person can forget of the stories in one year with everything going on around us❤
Have you read the Work and the Glory series? I was laughing, crying, feeling the spirit, horrified, in love, and a whole world of emotions from this amazing writer
No doubt! Such a beautiful personification of grace--and a powerful foil to Javert's personification of justice. No wonder he changed Valjean's life (and ours!).
You're a character that is changing me. I've been so depressed lately and I've struggled with my faith but I am starting to connect again with the Book of Mormon and you are partly responsible. Thank you Brother for your preparation and spirit
Thank you for your kind words. I'm grateful to be a small part of your personal journey. I'm sorry that you've had to wrestle with both spiritual and emotional darkness, though when I'm in similar spots it makes me all the more grateful for the Light. It is there! Let's keep walking toward it!
So, one of our family's quarantine activities has been watching the Marvel Universe movies in story/chronological order. Last night we had two children and Mom crying over Iron Man's movie sacrifice and death.....This will be a great "reaction" parallel to Mosiah's people, actual Book of Mormon events and more engaged scripture reading, for our family church services tomorrow. Great stuff! Thanks!
Love it! It's amazing how "drawn in" we can be with Hollywood's help. It definitely requires more effort on our part to make that happen in scripture, but then again, effort is exactly what the Lord wants us to put in! Thanks for tuning in--and for chiming in! I hope you're doing well!
For me, chapters 7 through 24 are some of the most mesmerizing chapters in the Book of Mormon. The flashbacks and the various trips to and from Zarahelma by various groups all indicate to me such a convoluted map of journeys that somebody writing a fraudulent or fictitious account would surely have messed up in someway. I firmly believe that Joseph Smith translated those chapters from Golden plates written upon by ancient prophets living in the Americas. A strong testimony that stems directly from chapter 7 through 24.
I completely agree! We seem to struggle mightily to keep all the intersecting story lines straight in our heads, and yet it came out on paper without the kinds of study aids, notes, and diagrams that we seem to need to navigate it. Joseph Smith was either a prophet, or an unrivaled literary genius. I find the first explanation much more intellectually plausible than the second, not to mention it being far more spiritually convincing as well! Thanks for watching, and for sharing your thoughts!
Sounds like M Scott Peck and Ann Frank when she made us feel she was an actual person and I've found it hard to think of these people and Prophets as 3 dimensional I'm beginning to
Thank you for giving us meat to chew on!!

I am thinking about those people and what they suffered....thank you for helping me to see things in a spiritual way.
It's amazing when they become real to us! Then the difference they make in our lives can be much more real as well. Thanks for watching!
I'm the same... the bishop character changed my life!!! He is such a powerful character.

Thanks! I loved the Jack in the box part. It was a great visual.
