E39 is awesome no doubt, but it's still just a nice v8 sound that you can hear from any other number of vehicles. The E60 is so exotic and interesting and unique that it has to take this battle.

It is the sound equivalent of getting a tatoo in prison The 5.0L V10 sound from the E60 is also very nice, but to me it sounds too clean and professional. Like the sound equivalent of going to the doctor. The E34 is an old school car. You could almost call him _Big Boss_. To a youngster, it might look like and old and crooked car, that can barely get going. Only to have their jaws drop when the find out that this 20+ year old car just left their new and shiny Golf GTI completely in the dust. 340HP out of a 3.8L straight 6. Don't fuck with _Big Boss_. The old man will make you look stupid in front of everyone.
+Sean guevara It just has a quiet exhaust, trust me if you decat it and put an eisenmann on it, it makes all the other ones sound tame, even the V10, the S38 engine is a proper race-engine, detuned for the street, the other ones are kinda racy but not quite to the extent of the S38, the S85 V10 comes close though, just not as raw and visceral.
I think the e39 m5 is one of the best, if not the best car ever made. Amazing, down to earth drive, orgasmic sound, manual transmission and it's appreciating

The E34 is the best as far as sleeper sedans (saloons) go. The sound is serious but not overstated. The E39 is the best Muscle Car sound, and my personal favorite BMW ever made.

For me, 1. E39 and E60, The e39 has a beautiful deep, "bad sound" :)). E60 here you can see the cooperation of F1. Along with the LFA, it resembles F1. Beautiful sound of high-speed atmosphere. 2. E34 3. F10 :-(
